Avatar f tn For anyone that finds this in their searches, it turns out that I actually have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Autonomic testing showed a drop in blood pressure after eating which cause these symptoms!
Avatar f tn Started taking 150mg Ranitadine after reading an obscure forum somewhere. I FEEL NORMAL, and it started from my 2nd day of Ranitadine. The sick, sick, (pressure/nauseous) feeling in my thyroid is GONE for the 1st time in 7 years. Brain fog gone.. I have energy. Tinnitus lessened. It's been 2 weeks There must be EBV inside my thyroid gland. How else has the worst symptom I have, disappeared? Can someone explain how a histamine blocker (Ranitadine) would disrupt the EBV virus?

519035 tn?1348275773 Have any of you been on beta blockers for your hashi symptoms if so which ones, also, I have been having frequent attacks, but is it anxiety, or blood pressure actually raising from these attacks? Chest tightness and hearing loud racing pulse in ear. It feels like anxiety?????
Avatar n tn ve taken urine and blood tests all coming back negative. The blood tests were to check my blood counts etc., whether I had an infection, and to check my organs. I'm not pregnant as well. Does anyone have an idea as to what it is and what it is from?
1701959 tn?1488551541 So in July I started with 4 days of a really sore tummy, below my sternum in the middle. Even putting pressure there hurt and my stomach was a bit sour (no throwing up though). It went away and only flaired up a little here and there. This past week it came back and hurt like crazy again... to put pressure there causes discomfort and eating too much seems to make it worse. I've had the blood test for H. Pylori which was negative and am going to my GI doc in 2 days.
19501685 tn?1478887405 I have been dealing with seeing blood in saliva (tiny specs - one or two) mostly in the morning. I have been to the doctors for CBCs, clotting times, have had 2 chest xrays and 1 chest CT scan - all normal per the pulmonologist. Suffer from Gerd but started taking omeprazole when this all started after going to the ER a couple of months ago. I also had an endoscopy done as well as a nasolaringoscopy where only irritation was found.
Avatar f tn ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
Avatar f tn No one around me really seems to take it seriously and think its all in my head even after a confirmed blood test. Im 31 years old and feel pretty much alone and lost.
Avatar n tn I'm also doing the iv floods at home also and taking slots of pills for my nausea and some time it helps and some times it doesnt and I'm also losing a lot of weight and I have to take blood thinners for a blood clot I have and I'm also at risk of having a heart attack or stroke

Avatar f tn My consultant has taken me off omeprazole and replaced it with ranitidine due to the fact that my magnesium is low, and is making my calcium low too. Has anyone else had experience of this change, and if so, how has your body reacted to it.
Avatar f tn Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. Avatar f tn After numerous tests including blood work, ekg, chest X-rays and urine tests, they determined I had a bad UTI. All my other tests came back normal. I took the percription until it was gone, but I continued to have a day every 4 days or so where I couldn't take a deep breath. On Monday, I went to the doctor because I couldn't take deep breaths. After running routine physical exam, the doctor determined that my shortness of breath was do to acid relux. She started me on ranitidine.
Avatar n tn I am a 35 year old female and started getting chronic hives and angiodema 10 years ago. It's always worse in the hot summer months but pressure is definitely a factor. If i sit on a hard surface for long I get hard raised lumps on my buttocks, my hands will swell when i carry heavy bags or use a paintbrush but the worst thing is my feet! The intense itching on the soles is unbearable! Then they will swell to twice the size and go red, hot and painful so i can't walk.
Avatar n tn A few years ago my doctor put me on 75 mg Ranitidine to take twice a day before meals. A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.
Avatar f tn t been on ranitidine long, i recently swapped from omeprazole which did nothing for me to ranitidine, so im still giving it some time before i rule out whether its working or not (although so far im not feeling much difference) I didn't realise that food intolerances may not come up in blood work, thanks for that information! seeing an actual gi doctor will be my next step.
520191 tn?1355635402 Over a year ago i was given ranitidine for the treatment of GERD. I took my first dose and i started to feel nausea so i went to bed, during the night i started vomiting and not like any vomit i had ever experienced before. i thought nothing of it, until my heart began to race through out the night. the next morning i thought i might be allergic to one of my medication as i was prescribed 2 medication all at once.
Avatar n tn I suggest that you discuss this with his doctors and see if it could be arranged to have his oxygen level documented when he is at rest, asleep when walking and during a coughing spell. The combination of cough and changes in blood pressure can also result in abnormal heart rhythms. This could be revealed by the use of a continuous heart monitoring device. It might also be wise to check his blood pressure.
