zantac

Avatar n tn For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.
Avatar f tn The next day my stomach started hurting bad! I had a sharp pain and super nauseous. I had a bowel movement (diarrhea) and my stomach feel better. The next day my stomach felt better but I wasn't 100% I still had pain and a bloated feeling so I took some Rantidine and that help me sleep with no pain at night. Its been a week now and my appetite has not fully returned and I get full really fast. Today my stomach started hurting just a little bit but stopped.
Avatar m tn Zantac Ranitidine (150mg), antacid zellox-II, Zecuf, antibiotic (cephalexin), paracetamol, and cough syrup. This is when problem occurred. I started to experience soft light yellow stool (very little as i didn't eat much), diarrhea (>3 times, little too) , indigestion, nausea, and bloat. I started to get worried and didn't take the medicine for the time being. Please advise me what to do now. Thanks in advance.
Avatar n tn Have a sensitive stomach and get burning pains especially if food has chilly or is strong in acid. Ranitidine has helped but from time to time suffer missing hearbeats. Having given up the drug for a while things improved but stomach started to suffer again and thus the reason to re-start the drug.
Avatar m tn ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.
Avatar f tn I should add though that anxiety did make my symptoms a lot worse. So anxiety over your symptoms could be causing your nausea to feel more intense. I know it did that to me. I took ranitidine for a long time and didn't notice much relief from it. Has it helped you at all? I ended up switching to nexium which was amazing. It stopped my acid reflux in its tracks. But getting a handle on my anxiety also worked wonder for my reflux and I rarely get it all anymore.
Avatar m tn Hello, Swelling and color change of skin are common after a thorn injury. However chest pain and diarrhea can be due to gastritis but it is essential to rule out cardiac causes for the chest pain. For acid reflux , try raising the head of your bed about four inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for two hours before you lie down. To help control the stomach acid, one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them, or eat chocolate or spicy or greasy foods .
Avatar f tn I too was prescribed zantac (Ranitidine) and I began taking them last week for nausea and was having light chest pain.( Less serious Zantac side effects may include:headache (may be severe);drowsiness, dizziness;sleep problems (insomnia);decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm; or swollen or tender breasts (in men);nausea, vomiting, stomach pain; or diarrhea or constipation so yes those are some of the side effects your having.
Avatar m tn The next day I went back to the doctor and she said the x Ray showed I had lots of stool and prescribed Miralax and ranitidine because she thought the abdominal pain was caused by acid. I took Miralax for two weeks and it stopped the bloating I had a follow up on April 7th. Before the follow up I went on that Monday because I had blood in my stool the emergency Doctor of the clinic said it was an anal fissure and increased the miralax to three caps.
Avatar m tn Vet prescribed metronidazole again. She is now shaking and not feeling well and still has diarrhea. She only weighs 2 lbs or so. She doesn't like Pumpkin. Tried that for the diarrhea. Taking her off the Metronidazole. Vet has taken tests waiting for results. May have Distemper. She had her first shots 2 weeks ago. Not sure if that is a false positive for Distemper. Getting very concerned for her. Any ideas??
Avatar f tn ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
Avatar m tn You can layer different types of reflex meds. I take Dexilant 60mg mid afternoon and ranitidine (Zantac - and H2 blocker like Pepcid) at bedtime. I have severe asthma and difficult reflux as well. The reflux exacerbates the asthma so it must be very well controlled. I will also take a calcium-magnesium product like Rolaids for flares or when my diet has not been the best for reflux. I recently doubled my probiotic.
Avatar f tn you could try looking up those drugs online and see what they say about hurting baby. i can tell you that buscopan is a muscle relaxant and that that shouldn't hurt your future baby. i have been on ranitidine, still have some i think. but i had heart palpitations with it. but i am really glad to hear its working for you. because of my experience with it i would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about it. but my main suggestion would be sort things out with your body first.
Avatar n tn Now, two years later my gastritis symptoms have come back (heartburn and nausea), and I read somewhere that I can take omeprazole AND ranitidine on the same day (but not the same time) so I've been taking the 20 mg Omeprazole in the am before breakfast and a 75mg ranitidine in the pm before dinner, which has worked quiet well.
1088529 tn?1256844030 Avoid heavy meals and take frequent small ones. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

520191 tn?1355635402 t take that and i took the ranitidine, within 30 min of taking i had more and more problems breathing, i felt like i was suffocating. i rang my doctor as i didn't know what to do and she put me through as she could tell i couldn't breathe even through she couldn't understand me. By the time the ambulance arrived my lips and neck has swollen, i could barely say a word let alone a sentence. i had a rash around my neck and my oxygen saturation was low.
Avatar f tn I was already taking Oxy, naproxen, flexaril, emtec, ranitidine, xenical and sometimes Arbil and Tylenol, does anyone know if these are all ok together? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Some doctors have felt that Fibromyalgia is, basically, un or under-treated hypothyroidism, since Fibro and hypothyroidism share many symptoms and many/most of the symptoms go away if the patient is treated adequately with thyroid hormones. From the reading I've done, there's no benefit of taking ranitidine for EBV when mononucleosis is active, therefore, I can see no benefit of it 15 yrs later, either.
15695260 tn?1549593113 gov/news-events/press-announcements/statement-alerting-patients-and-health-care-professionals-ndma-found-samples-ranitidine The amount was very small and barely more than the amount of the chemical you might expect to find in common foods but the general public needs to feel safe in the medications they take. However the FDA didn't recommend people not take the medication they currently have.
2006603 tn?1331329327 Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I am 33w4d and yesterday my doc prescribed me 150mg tablets to take twice a day for heartburn. Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I just want to make sure its safe.
Avatar m tn To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so. I also noticed when taking TUMS that I only need to take less than one tablet for it to be effective (say about 500 mg /day. Occasionally 750mg). One question I have is would it be better to only take Tums instead - even if I need to use ~500mg each day?
Avatar f tn Because of my remote location, a trip to the ENT was very expensive and I declined to go. Eventually it did clear up and heal and go away, and I went on with my life. Fast forward to last week, I've been feeling a bit stressed and noticed my heart burn and IBS acting up a bit. I did basically nothing for it, hoping it would just go away. The post nasal drip / throat clearing and dysphagia started again a few days ago.
1210142 tn?1266077031 Taking Diltiazem, Lisinopril, Aspirin and Ranitidine as well. Have been having constant stomach and chest pains and the doctors are not able to find the cause- at least they don’t think it is a cardiac one./the chest pains/ My gastroenterologist suggested I stop taking Ranitidine and switch to Pantroprazole. I have read a lot about the interaction between Plavix and PPI’s but he thinks only Omeprazole have more effect on Plavix, not Pantoprazole.
Avatar n tn I'm in panic mode, as far as cancer goes. I have a mass seen by mammogram, ultra sound, and MRI. I take high risk medication and also I've been taking the highly talked about ranitidine(prescribed to me) for the past 5 or 6 years.
