ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.

I'm also 37 and we're having our first. I have acid reflux and usually take prilosec but my doctor changed me to ranitidine. Tums also helps. Dr. said NO Pepto Bismol. How far along is your wife?

Have a sensitive stomach and get burning pains especially if food has chilly or is strong in acid. Ranitidine has helped but from time to time suffer missing hearbeats. Having given up the drug for a while things improved but stomach started to suffer again and thus the reason to re-start the drug.

Hello! I am a 34 year old fit and relatively healthy guy. I am ranitidine 150gm twice a day and Colofac 250gm twice a day for IBS and a Hiatus Hernia that I have. I have been on a gluten free diet for the past month and am avoiding dairy also but I get severe bloating episodes that are quite frightening. I get so bloated and I feel like I can't breath and this has been happening on and off for the past 3 years but seems to be getting more consistent and progressively worse.

Also if you consume alcohol,munch some light snacks along with it and as far as possible try abstaining from alcohol or taking very less amounts of it.You can also take some OTC antacid like Mylanta, zantac(ranitidine)or prilosec(omeprazole).These will help.Also keep your fluid electrolyte balance optimum by drinking lots of fluids. If the symptoms persist then pls get it evaluated from a physician and get gall bladder/liver disease ruled out. Hope it helps.

If you can't control the Barrett's with the meds and diet, then you may want to consider having some form of surgery or endoscopic treatment. However, you also have to take into consideration where the Barrett's is in the esophagus. Some 'placement' of the Barrett's is a contraindication for fundoplication surgery.

For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.

my husband is experiencing some strange and rather disgusting symptoms. he is 32 years old. Last night he was complaining of stomach upset(MINOR) when he woke up he had developed what I can only describe as mouth gas. VERY smelly belches. also severe diarhea. Why am i getting the chills and my whole left side feels like it's going to give out any minute. It feels like there is something going right through my heart straight to the back, tha's where all the pain is. It also effects my shoulder too. It also feels like I have indigestion and I have been having stomach problems for almost a whole week now. I am hoping that it's just a flu but the way it's going I think it's something else.

you could try looking up those drugs online and see what they say about hurting baby. i can tell you that buscopan is a muscle relaxant and that that shouldn't hurt your future baby. i have been on ranitidine, still have some i think. but i had heart palpitations with it. but i am really glad to hear its working for you. because of my experience with it i would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about it. but my main suggestion would be sort things out with your body first.

Now, two years later my gastritis symptoms have come back (heartburn and nausea), and I read somewhere that I can take omeprazole AND ranitidine on the same day (but not the same time) so I've been taking the 20 mg Omeprazole in the am before breakfast and a 75mg ranitidine in the pm before dinner, which has worked quiet well.

Avoid heavy meals and take frequent small ones. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. t take that and i took the ranitidine, within 30 min of taking i had more and more problems breathing, i felt like i was suffocating. i rang my doctor as i didn't know what to do and she put me through as she could tell i couldn't breathe even through she couldn't understand me. By the time the ambulance arrived my lips and neck has swollen, i could barely say a word let alone a sentence. i had a rash around my neck and my oxygen saturation was low.

I spend a week in Spain and since I got back to the USA, (10 days now )I have pain on my upper stomach, nauseas and headaches. I have also been very tired, dizzy and weak. This only happens sometimes (about 75 %) especially after I eat. I have stop eating because when I do, I get very sick. I went to the emergency room and they didn't find anything wrong but the doctor prescribed me Zantax. I still feel sick. I have scheduled an appoinment with a specialist but it is a week from now.
