1052851 tn?1307741160 Can you tell me what is in Zeldox that is not in Quetiapine, and if there are any other meds I could try that wouldnt cause these side effects but also not make me gain such a massive amount of weight?
Avatar f tn Hi! I'm just trying to do some research for my friend ... She's been on Quetiapine (an atypical antipsychotic) for about 2yrs, but previous to this she was diagnosed with borderline hypothyroidism. Suddenly, she has fallen really ill and blood tests have confirmed minor hypothyroidism (T3 levels around 9)... but the symptoms look like hyper!
Avatar n tn Hi, I am on celexa and alprazolam, and today I was prescribed quetiapine.... I'm not entirely sure why I was prescribed this medication. The reason I am not sure is because I just started to see a new doctor and it is hard for me to be in a big building that I'm not comfortable in because I have agoraphobia. She told me to take these pills at night time and not to drink alcohol with them.
1052851 tn?1307741160 I am currently on 200mg Quetiapine and 30mg Cipralex in the morning. 100mg Quetiapine at noon, and 300mg Quetiapine at night, along with 50mg Clonazapam. I tried taking Zeldox, as I gained a lot of weight from the Quetiapine, but the Dr. made it an add on and kept me on the Quetiapine as well. I had very bad side effects, and got off the Zeldox immediately. I told my doctor about it, and she changed the Zeldox, which was 80mg daily to Abilify, which I take 10mg in the morning and 10mg at noon.
Avatar m tn I'm in the Uk and currently taking Quetiapine, Depakote and Lamotrigine. The Quetiapine for me was prescribed for rage and agitation, I don't feel any anti depressant properties from it, but it has saved my life. Lamotrigine was prescribed 7 weeks ago and I feel a lot better, I am doing things that I didn't think I'd ever feel I could do again. Nobody has ever specified what type of Bp I have, I have symptoms from across the spectrum, I have mixed episodes.
Avatar m tn Hi there. I have had tachycardia for a long time which is normally around 120 bpm but last night I took my pulse just before I went to bed and it was at 150 bpm. This was at resting. I had an ECG a while ago which was normal. Also I have lost a bit of weight recently and can now feel my pulse in my abdomen just below the ribcage. I am 29, am taking quetiapine as without I don't sleep at all and weigh around 90kg. Just wondering if I should do anything about this?
1052851 tn?1307741160 Hi IL was faster as usual, yes i was going to suggest abilify, but why specifically an antipsychotic. In any case it's a newer one than quetiapine and works differently. In many parts of the world now they suggest it as a 1st option and some docs reckon the best mood stabiliser Only that for some they feel a little agitated and with some anxiety or insomnia.
Avatar f tn i was concerned at first as to if there was an emergence i would not be able to drive after the med kicked in... if i had small children again i would have to ponder the benifits verses anxiety of not hearing them at night. all in all....i personally love the way it works for me.
Avatar f tn last year the baby i was 33wks preg with was stillborn, i called him marcus after that i fell into deep depression understanably i think, then was diagnosed with bpd, and put on quetiapine and sertraline, i have been trying to get preg since sept 2010 but nothing has happened, when i got preg with marcus it only took 2 months and i wasn't on any drugs of any kind, now i'm wondering if the drugs i am on now are affecting my fertility?
644988 tn?1236364548 These are mostly at night but can happen anytime. I become really hot and uncomfortable, I break out in a sweat and it can last anything from minutes to half an hour. I don't think it's a menopause thing. I'm on quite a lot of meds and I'm hoping someone out there with plenty of knowledge might help me pin it down. Currently I'm taking: Citalopram 40mgs (3yrs), Quetiapine 50-100mgs (2.
Avatar f tn Has any one reduced and successfully stopped taking quetiapine? were there any horrible withdrawal symptoms or return of symptoms? I am feeling scared I must say.
1052851 tn?1307741160 The Quetiapine was working, but I gained 40 lbs in just a couple of months, which threw me into more intense depression and poorer self esteem. I read an article in BP Magazine about Zeldox, which had not yet been approved in Canada, but was in the US under Geldeon, and guaranteed the same results with less weight gain, so after some urging to my doctor, and her investigating it further, I started taking it, it had just been approved in Canada. I now only take 80mg of Zeldox (max.

Avatar f tn What is the lethal dose of aripiprazole, quetiapine and lamotrigine? Mix of them.
Avatar n tn ve been put in in-patient care twice (for a total of 12 months), Intensive care once, and hospitalized countless times, all for suicide attempts, strange behaviour and self-harm. I was put on quetiapine, which sort of helped, it toned things down a little and helped me sleep, but didn't do much. I discharged myself from the first hospital since I wasn't sectioned, but overdosed on on 42 of my quetiapine three weeks later.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Lamotrigine, Prazosin, and Quetiapine. I have also been diagnosed with H. Pylori, I was wondering if I could take Prevacid with these other medications? I have tried everything else and this would be a last resort.
Avatar f tn 50 every other day for about 4 months, my panic got so far worse than before, so i wen to see a neurologist, he put me straight away on valdoxan and quetiapine 25mg, took only valdoxan for 2 weeks i had'nt been able to have a good night sleep, my doc said to take half a quetiapine at bed time but also gave me zolpidem, my ansiety is great that none of these make sleep well, my question is: are this the withdrawal symptoms of the clonopil and how long will i have to put up with them?
644988 tn?1236364548 Update. Hi. My dissociative moments have receded and I've ha a week or so of being in agood mood and really productive; more so than for over a year. I increased my bedtime dose of quetiapine but found I was feeling "wired" with irritability and anger in the afternoons/evenings. My sleeps are short (five to six hours at the moment despite the increased quetiapine). In view of this, I've re-added a morning dose of quetiapine and now things seem better..
Avatar f tn It is often activating though so if you have that problem you could ask your psychiatrist if you could take it in the morning. Along with Abilify and Geodon, Fanapt and Saphris are two new FDA approved antipsychotics (approved for bipolar as well) that have less of a potential for weight gain. See what happens and keep informed and discuss available options with your psychiatrist.
Avatar n tn Will I lose the weight I have put on whilst on citalopram and quetiapine once I stop taking these medicines?

Avatar m tn I was prescribed tramadol for pain do to an injury and I take citalopram and quetiapine for depression. I also have emphysema and use advair.
534105 tn?1226157177 I was taking 25mg of quetiapine (Seroquel) at night for one month. My doctor told me to stop taking it without reductions because of severe fatigue and somnolence during the day. I am not sure if I am going to have withdrawal problems. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm on quetiapine for major depression. It was added in by my p.doc ontop of first antidepressant (citalopram) which was at 60mgs daily and diazepam/temazepam. I was overwhelmed by panic and paralised by the whole depression thing. The first couple of days on (I think) 25mgs twice daily, I was completely zonked (but very calm!) after two days the tranquilised feeling left, but my sleep was restored for the first time in months and the days were better too.
