However want to ask does the acid, Lauric acid, being one, actually erode the enamel, making teeth thinner? I normally do not rinse mouth with water afterwards, leaving the coconut oil remains in mouth when spit out.

Yes it is an ongoing habit best to see if it can be 'nipped in the bud' its a way of soothing herself, perhaps good to introduce a teddy or a blankie she may use that to soothe .It would be better not to put her into the bed with you that is another little habit they get into , however if you don't mind her in your bed it is in my opinion okay .Above you will see the link Hair pulling and eating..Dr Kennedy has some words to say about it ..

ve never heard of pulling teeth due to an absess. So maybe, just maybe, the teeth were pulled due to another or additional problem? They don't do root canals either until you've taken antibiotics (which is weird since antibiotics cannot enter the tubules).
Far as swelling after extractions this varies widely with the pre-extraction condtion of
the teeth. I had a week long swelling after my one and only root canal which I wish I hadn't had done.
It is very difficult to diagnosis from this forum, but I would want to know if you clench your teeth or if you are a bruxer. I would start with your general dentist and possibly a dentist that specializes in TMJ dysfunction.

I have had to get a tooth pulled (not my wisdom tooth) and I had to get 2 root canals done as well they started it in my second trimester. The tooth pulling was the worst I was in pain for a week strait. Densist said it hurt more cuz I couldn't take the ibphrophen and you need the antiinflammatory to help with the pain but after a week I was OK.
d been having terrible tooth pain and had developed an abscess on the gum above that tooth. At the same time, I was experiencing a pressure/pulling sensation down my jaw, around my ear and down my neck. I was first given a round of antibiotics, and the pain, abscess and pressure/pulling sensation all went away.

My chin has regressed quite a bit and my front teeth are uneven now. I haven't been to the dentist for 5 years.
Countless doctors, countless types of medication, physiotherapy, multiple surgeries (on teeth, and nose cavity), surgical discography, etc. etc., all to no avail. This is the first time that a diagnosis was found that (appears to) make complete sense for the torturous times I've been going through. A 3D-reconstruction shows elongated styloids (approx. 4-5 cm), one of them possibly broken.
After the surgery I'll report back here.
Dentist wants lots of $ for 1 root canal and 4 crowns. Why not just have them pulled. The rest of my teeth are in good shape. I just had cavitty problems due to enamel missing on those teeth. I really do not know pro's and con's of just pulling teeth or pro's and con's of crowns. Any adivice or links to other posting etc would be appreciated.
