protonix heart

Since I have been taking Protonix for GERD, my heart seems to be pounding in my throat. This has never happened to me before and is alarming. My blood pressure has always been low. Is this normal? Is there anything else I can take beside Protonix?

I have no history of bad anxiety and racing heart like this.. So I decided to stop taking the Protonix...the last time i took it was thursday and i still feel like im in hell.... You would think I am detoxing from some other hard core drug and I havent taken anything else.. I am still so naseous, gagging, stomach pains, heart palps..and I am def not pregnant or anything like that so I cant find any other cause for all of this.. Is there anything i can do to get this medicine out of my system.

My problem was chest pain. And when tests revealed no heart problems, they assumed reflux. The protonix helped the chest pain, so I assumed they were right and was grateful for the relief. But now I have questions. I'm also a few months off of pain meds so it's possible that the side effects were there all along and being masked by the pain meds. Look, I know doctors have their pat answers, but in my 54 years of experience, anything is possible.

Not tired but some dizzy doesnt last long. I have GERD. I use to take nexium, then protonix then zantac. Had rnuclear stress test done was positive negative, had chest pain went to er had a cardiac catherization done was clear. I got worried scared took xanax for a few days been off all meds for two weeks now pulse last night 41. I walk around its 54 60s 70s sit down 54 48. I this the meds gave me irregular heart will it go back to normal..?Do i need the pace maker?

My Dr just put me on protonix because nothing else seemed to get rid of my heartburn. I take it morning and night and have been heartburn free since the 2nd day.

My family doctor recently thought I had a case of gastritis and gave me a three week supply of Protonix - the warning sheet said nothing about arrhythmias or anything relating to heart rhythm. While on it I can't say I noticed any change in PVC frequency, and I'd only been having a few a day at that point. But while on it I did lose virtually all of my appetite, which was another symptom not mentioned in the literature.

Anyone out there on Protonix? I was diagnosed with acid reflux and was put on Nexium which helped slightly with my burping but I was still getting stomach aches. I went for an abdominal ultrasound, endescopy and CT scan with IV contrast and all came back fine. My Dr just switched me to Protonix.

The Dr gave me Nexium, but I was still getting upper stomach pain and pressure in the chest an back. I was switched to Protonix and it seemed to help with the upper stomach pain right under the breastbone. I'm taking two pills a day. Does anyone know how long Protonix takes to work? I was told that some PPI's could take 4 to six weeks to take affect.

I was prescribed protonix (40mg/daily) for 2 months after an endoscopy showed some inflammation in my stomach (ruled out ulcer and celiac). After 1 month of daily use I started to feel awful - my hands and arms were tingling, I felt off balance, like I was walking through a haze at all times, like I might pass out more than once a day, and started having what I thought were sensory migraines.

I have acid reflux and take protonix occassionally when needed...recently I had a bad scare where I suddenly starting gasping for air...I have had similar attacks in the past, but this one was major as I felt like I would stop gasping....There was no warning before the attack....It did subside...Is this common with acid reflux and what do I do when this happens? I did over indulge with food over the holidays...I am not over weight and I do exercise..

t help but had to try that first before insurance would pay for Protonix. I have been on Protonix for over a year now and am having problems again. Right after I eat, I get bloated; I liken it to when you are full and you bend over to tie your shoe and you feel so much pressure on your stomach and diaphragm area and your head feels full of pressure. That's what I feel like after I eat and I am NOT bending over.

ve had a medicine called Protonix or whatever. Try the bread and arm lifting until you can get to a store, then try the Pepcid AC. It's pregnancy safe for when it occurs often or really bad and also helps prevent it (even if it didn't work long in my case lol). Look at the dollar stores for generics that are cheaper.

59 year old male. Had a heart attack at 37 and triple bypass. Had a double bypass 9 years later. Had to quit work in 2004 because of severe angina and shortness of breath. EF of 40. Was on 60mg of Imdur 2 times a day and nitro patch. Doing EECP every 6 months to keep angina tolerable. I am a I have been taking 1000 MG of Ranexa twice a day for about 6 weeks. I came off of Imdur 60 mg twice a day and a nitro patch.

So as this pregnancy progresses so does my acid reflex and heart burn. At night is wen it gets the worst and wen I wake up I still have it.

But right now I am taking a break for 7 months. My problem is I started having heart burn for 3 months now, I HAVE TAKEN PREVACID, PRILOSAC AND NOW i AM ON NEXIUM.But they ar not helping me at all. I saw my oncho yesterday and she said ther is nothing they can do, and to avoid spicy food. But I havevn't been eating any spicy or hard food for several months now, what shall I do? Please help me.

Acid reflux & heart burn are NOT the same thing. Acid reflux must be treated, as it can cause ulsers.

s bad I have shortness of breathe, heart palpitations, feel like a volcano inside and get a squeezing my heart feeling. I'm currently on Protonix. I don't know what to do and going to the ER isn't helping me either.

t have medicaid and yesterday my health insurance company said I must use generic of Prilosec first and if it does not work I guess my doc can request the Protonix. I really feel a difference not having the Protonix. Glad you can receive it. Thanks.
