Your Dr. can give you a drug test at any time. I get one at every visit, it show's the medication and the amounts in my system. If your records show that you have failed drug tests due to anything that is not prescribed by your Dr. will make it harder to find a PM Dr. or any Dr. who will give pain medication. They are being pressured more and more by the DEA.
I take Protonix to control my gerd. An allergist recommended this and it does seem to make a difference. Does anyone else take these types of meds to control their gerd and, ultimately, help with asthma? I cannot get Protonix any longer through my health insurance and was wondering if someone took something else as effective. Prilosec and Nexium do not have as good as effect as Protonix for me. Thanks.
Hi folks...I was researching taking CBD oil (non THC) for sleep and anxiety and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a negative impact on retina. I am 43, eat well, do not smoke or drink or use drugs. I had a retinal detachment 18 months ago...just wanted to eliminate CBD oil if there was any known negative correlation with its use and the retina. Hope this makes sense.
i think you're safe. No one checks THC levels on newborns either..baby will be fine I'm sure.
Hi from what I understand protonix is an rx while prilosec is over the counter meds......
so I do believe that the protonix is stronger.I am not a dr, just going on what I do know, I know both r PPI and work much the same way.....Ur dr should be able to say y he changed ur meds...everyone is different and react to the meds differently....maybe bcuz the prilosec dtopped working instead of changing meds he should check to see y u r making so much acid.

m not getting relief with chiropractic care or anything else for that matter, I started thinking about medication and side effects. The protonix s the only thing that could possibly be the culprit. I went off of it two days ago, took omaprazole instead, and have had a 50% reduction in the pain. Has anyone else experienced this. I am reluctant to mention it to the doctor because I'm afraid he will dismiss it. I want to be sure before I talk to him.
I have been to the hospital twice with two ekgs done normal and a lot of blood work normal I have bad shoulder pains leg pains arms ache and neck hurts when I drink or eat anything my chest hurts and my back hurts can stress and gets cause this I get headaches daily and the pain in shoulders and arms daily

I thank God that I had an abdominal ulrasound and cat scan with and without IV contrast and all was clear. I was so afraid that I had pancreatic cancer. My Dr told me that the CT scan was the best test for the pancreas. I just get nervous because I still get a discomfort way up high under my breastboneand occasionaly in my back but my Dr said this could be acid reflux. My endescopy also showed that I have gastritis which I know is painful as well.
Your baby should be OK, but I would stop smoking both tobacco and maijuana if you want to continue with a healthy pregnancy. It is also suggested to severly minimize alcohol intake, eat healthy, have good pre-natal care and only take medications that are prescribed to you by your physician who is aware of your pregnancy and is in consultation with you OB or midwife.

I have been using Protonix for almost a year now and it's worked great to help my Gastritis but I noticed something. Since taking it, my period comes later than it used to and for less time. I am a bit worried, is everything ok?
Are you on medical marijuana? And THC isnt typically found in urine unless you are smoking or intaking in some fashion marijuana and how it could be 66% of the content makes no sense either, its almost as if someone poured thc oil into a jar without a little bit of urine. Could you please clarify this question?
I agree with Babs and Tuckamore and there is no way I would take illegal drugs and risk my pain medication or anything else for that matter. I do know that my doctor has tested for THC. I have gained trust with my doctor but my doctor still has to drug test me and I personally told my doctor to test me anytime....I have nothing to hide. When I was working they would also test for THC ... so I think all or most of them do. I wish you the best but if you really need your pain medicine...
t much matter if you test positive or not. THC has risks associated with it, and you need to inform your OB of your use so they can monitor the baby for possible complications.
But I just want to let you know...I've had more than a few moms on here who thought they could fool a drug test by stopping well before delivery, but they don't realize that meconium will test positive no matter when you smoked.

You can just tell them the situation... that you burning off that fat to clean out the thc, and that it might take a few more weeks until more fat is burned off.
You can also stop exercising as Ga Guy said. And drink lots of water.
I had 3 drug tests in my life and passed all 3 times. I quit smoking about 2 weeks before each drug test... drank plenty of water each day, exercised, and then the day before the drug test I'd always pig out on pizza...
