I have been to the hospital twice with two ekgs done normal and a lot of blood work normal I have bad shoulder pains leg pains arms ache and neck hurts when I drink or eat anything my chest hurts and my back hurts can stress and gets cause this I get headaches daily and the pain in shoulders and arms daily

Fundic and transitional mucosa with minimal chronic gastritis.Negative for helicobacter pylori. Upper GI biopsy, esophagus Diagnosis: Consistent with Barrett's Esophagus, negative for dysplasia. Esophageal mucosa with mild nonspecific reactive changes.

However my Gastro DR says no way my hernia is causing this issue. Im on Pepcid, Carafate, GI cocktail, and protonix.

While GERD could cause nausea, nausea itself is a very non-specific symptom and could result from GI infection/ inflammation, micronutrient deficiencies, GI motility issues, o non-GI causes such as stress/ anxiety, hormonal/ endocrine imbalances, metabolic issues, micronutrient deficiencies, medication side effect etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an internist initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.

Gosh, I'll be curious what the GI doctor says. I've had upper right quadrant pain and it was gall bladder related. But they've ruled that out. Everything you search talks about organs in that area. The only one on you they haven't looked at is the pancreas. Does this get worse after you eat or is it just always there?

I was sent to a GI and scoped, stating esophagitis and small hiatal hernia. I was placed on Protonix once a day. I felt better, so went off, only to have a year of on and off again chest pain/breathing issues and on/off PPI medication. During this year, I have also had a full cardiac workup and full pulmonary function test, both of which were perfect. A few months ago I was sent back to the GI and he wanted another scope. This time he said GERD and to stay on medication.

Our GI wanted to give me samples of it for Jenna since my copay went up to 100 for the Protonix and I asked him what it compared to and that is what he told me, needless to say we did not change meds since the Protonix was working fine, I didnt want to risk changing meds.

Hi, I took protonix for 5 years and all of a sudden it just stop working. I took it for inflammation of the stomach and inflammation of the esp, It is really miserable.

Went back to the gastro today to follow up. He changed my dose of protonix, and said to see how that worked. Tonight I woke up sweating, with a horrible pain in my throat, intense heartburn, chest pain and a little light headed. Went to the ER the gave me a GI Cocktail, it numbed my throat and helped the heartburn, never made it past triage. Back home now and have really bad gas, back pain, and just don't feel well. Anyone experience this or have any suggestions or ideas??

keel over type upset upper stomach, sternum and when it gets so painful,lazy intestines, etc you try to breath through the spasming pain and I get hot and feverish and then finally I vomit and all of a sudden I can breath, the spasming goes down, and fine afterwards. I had my gallbladder taken out thinking it was that ( it was in rough shape they said) and for a year I had nothing happen, then a year later I got another spout, so I was upset thinking OK gallbaldder never fixed this??

I keep being sick after i eat, its like acid reflux but worse and happens 3- 5 times within an hour or two after i eat. it makes me feel weak and tired and often headaches and it is happening whenever i eat anything. I have no idea whats wrong, it is the only symptom, can anyone help?

We have done scope, ultrasound, MRCP, stomach emptying test, rounds of blood work. We saw a different pediatric GI to see if he needs ERCP and he did not think he needs it. His liver enzymes are normal and so are all the X-rays. We have tried protonix, balcofen muscle relaxer, propranolol, Donnatal with no results. We have also seen a neurologist and treated for abdominal migraines but no improvement.

m pretty sure I have it myself (why I know any of this) but you basically need to only eat green veggies and organic (non antibiotic) chicken for a month and take probiotics, and hopefully that kills off the yeast overgrowth. Sugars and starches are what feed it, so you cant eat any of that.

Can you tell me what you know about hormones possibly having to do with this? I have been told about SOD and possibly having to go to Indiana to a specialist, but he (my dr. GI) hasn't said anymore about it since the first time I had an ERCP. I am on hormones so I am just curious what they have in common with this.

Was diagnosed with delayed gastric emptying and given Protonix. I have had 2 pyloric dilatations but I still have pain in the upper abdominal and chest areas behind the sternum. The regurgitation is better. GI and cardiology cleared me for any overt issues, but I'm having abdominal and chest pain, nausea and vertigo that starts with a strange wave or flushing in my belly and travels upward. It gets really nauseous and I can hear my heart pulsating in my ears. The vertigo is the worst.

My mom is in the hospital for a GI bleed from cirrhosis and is hallucinating really bad (probably withdrawals from only quitting drinking the night of her GI bleed). They aren't giving her any medication to help her sleep or relax. Is this the right thing to do.

He was up again all last night (me, too) with the pain, diarrhea, and foul acidic burping. He is religiously taking his Protonix and Donnatal, he also uses Mylanta Extra Strength and OTC Prilosec when he gets these attacks. I told him to get the Quack's home phone number so he call him at 3:30 AM when it is "all in his head":) BTW - has been a good boy with food, only bland carbs and chicken. Will let you guys know what is found.

I take Protonix to control my gerd. An allergist recommended this and it does seem to make a difference. Does anyone else take these types of meds to control their gerd and, ultimately, help with asthma? I cannot get Protonix any longer through my health insurance and was wondering if someone took something else as effective. Prilosec and Nexium do not have as good as effect as Protonix for me. liver disease all can cause weakness and fatigue. Anxiety and depression can also cause generalized weakness and fatigue. Take a balanced diet and take adequate rest. A clinical examination and work up for above mentioned causes may be helpful See a pyhsician.He may further refer you to a specialist depending on the clinical examination findings.
