A friend of mine took a propranolol overdose approx. 1 month ago. 3 weeks after had a physical and his enzymes were elevated alkaline phosphatase 201 ast- 52 alt- 115. What does this mean? His MD gave him a B12 injection and a script for folate. He has not revealed to his MD that he had taken this overdose. He is going for a follow-up tomorrow and tell the doctor. He does not drink and has never taken drugs, untilt his event.

Guaifenesin, how much is an Overdose? My daughter 11 years old 100 lbs (big for her age), took (the correct dose) 5mL cough and cold medicine that had the following in that dose. Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg, Dextromethorpan HBr, USP 10 mL. Phenylephedrine HCI, USB 5mg. But then she also took (the correct dose) 10 mg of a prescription medicine Guaifenesin-Codeine syrup (generic for Robitussin AC syrup). It doesn't state on the label the quantity of Guaifenesin mg in the 5mL dose.

Hi, How are you? The extended-release propranolol usually is taken once a day. As long as you take it at around the same time every day, there is nothing to be worried about. It is best that you take propranolol exactly as directed by your doctor. Take care and best regards.

Has anyone tried PROPRANOLOL for prevention of Migraines? I have struggled with headaches almost every day & Migraines aprox every 7-10 days for the last 10 years. Feverfew has helped but they now seem to be getting worst so I was thinking of asking my GP if I could try Propranolol.

ER nurses and doctors are trainned to see signs of drug overdose. If they suspect overdose they will get you the help you need. Panic attacks will not have same symptoms. So I agree with everything that hadenough123. It has been a while for me also since I worked ER.

Does anyone know how much tylenol intake will cause liver damage. I ask this as have read a few help posts and some people are taking 20 norcos a day which is 10mg of opiate and 325 mg of tylenol. I was doing some math and taking 20 a day adds up to almost 1/4 ounce of tylenol a day, or 1/2 lb a month and a whopping 6 lbs a year!!!

My osteoarthritis is suddenly much more painful just after my colonoscopy June 3. I’m wondering if the Versed and Fentanyl that were used could be the cause? If so, what measures can I take? it depends how much your friend was consuming before he swallowed? i knew people who would sit and blow a 1/4oz in a sitting it deends on his tolerance.

Call me crazy but I think 20mg of Xanax is a boat load in a 24 hour period!! That might kill a person who doesn't have tolerance and even one that does!! Does she drink alcohol as well? A deadly combo! The largest dose of a single Xanax is 2mg...and that's going to put most people out for a bit or get really relaxed...

How much vitamin D3 are you taking? Recommended daily dosage is between 400 and 2400 IU, depending on who you talk to, although tests have been done with subjects taking up to 10,000 IU with no reported overdosing problems. Also, you should be taking it with a meal containing fat, since D3 is fat solluble. Maybe there's something else. I'll presume you've discontinued your vitamin D3 supplementation?

4 days ago pcp changed my beta blocker from propranolol 40mg twice daily to metprolol er 25mg daily d/t low pulse in 40s- 50s. Been on propranolol for 22yrs for PVCS. She had me just stop propranolol and start metoprolol, been experiencing shakiness, occassional pvcs, headache, nausea, pulse still 45 - low 60s at rest and with exertion 70-90. Should she have tapered propranolol or will the metoprolol block the more serious withdrawal symptoms ie: HTN, chest pain ect.

I started to become obsessed with my heart and worried non stop about heart attacks and disease. So much that I took more propranolol tablets and became addicted to heart rate apps. I am on the medical management program for the arrhythmias. It seems to me OBSCENE how much medicine I take. How much do other people take every day to try to balance a rhythm problem. Is everyone else taking 30-40 pills a day? Does it frustrate you to craziness?

Instead, the pharmacist gave her 150mcg of it. After three months, she was feeling awful, Ached all over had a fever and much more. What advise can I give her and what kind of doctor does she need to see to get better? The GP that put her on it is giving her prednisone to make her feel better but as soon as she goes off of it the fever and pain come back and she is having awful effects of the prednisone. Does anyone know how propranolol effects exercise? I do triathlon and train using a heart rate monitor. I am wondering if I would be able to progress athletically given my heart rate would be lowered substantially?
