Avatar f tn I am very interested in staying fit throughout my pregnancy. I am 17 weeks and pretty in shape prior to being pregnant. Any advice or know of any good excercise links ? Or books/dvds ?
Avatar n tn I am a 16 boy that is over weight I currently weight 230lbs and my goal is to at least weight 225-200lbs or under.. i recently just started on a diet -everyday for breakfast i only eat a bowl of cereal (with low fat milk) and a slice of toasted wheat bread......before the diet i used to eat alot of different stuff until i got myself very full..
Avatar n tn Ever since I found out I was pregnant @ 5wks I've been working out every day for the sake of the baby (improved circulation, lung functioning, etc) & myself (good prep for labor, relieves aches & pains, feels good etc) and I'm in awe. Because I'm not trying to lose weight I hadn't noticed my body changing, but i looked at all my bump selfies from 6 wks to 16 weeks & the diff in tone is crazy!
Avatar f tn Hi everyone! My husband just bought me a new treadmill from Sears that has a built-in fan that blows cool air. We researched in consumer reports and this was a best buy. It's called a Pro Trainer 420 and I think it is on sale for $350. I miss my 2 mile daily walks outdoors, but have made friends with my new treadmill. Its great because I don't find myself a mile from home with stiff, numb and wobbly legs.
Avatar f tn I do 3 40 minute cardio sessions a week. I couple this with 3 running sessions per week on the treadmill. My running sessions are interval trainings. The first week I walked briskly for 2 minutes and ran 1 minute 10 times. The second week I walked one minute and ran 1 minute 15 times. The third week I walked 1 minute and ran 2 minutes 10 times. The fourth week I walked 1 minute and ran 4 minutes 7 times. The fifth week I walked 1 minute and ran 6 minutes 5 times.
Avatar f tn I was a size 14 before pregnancy now at 30 weeks an 25 lbs later I absolutely love long tube top sundresses old navy has really cute skirts that look cute with spaghetti strapped tank tops..
Avatar f tn However, you should slow down and work up at a more gradual pace if your exercise routine causes you to feel pain. Ask your parents to sign you up for at least one session with a certified trainer if you need help developing a workout plan. Teen girls should get at least 60 minutes of cardio exercise per day, recommends the U.S. Office on Women’s Health.
327385 tn?1378360731 i was very fit and slim 7yrs ago. i had great abs and was toned . i had gained 50pnds due to 2 brain tumors. i have started feeling better and can handle workouts better now. i was wanting to know if because of my muscle tone before i gained weight would it be easier to get my muscle tone back ?
Avatar f tn Luckily my smaller-breast sizes were when I was younger and would probably have found that kind of thing almost shaming. Having the boobs hit at only 16 can be kind of hard to deal with, partly because you don't really know how vulnerable you are.
Avatar n tn I am a personal trainer, a family member has asked me to help her with her training as she seems to have a heart rate issue that she is receiving conflicting advice on. She is a 17 y/o female middle distance runner. She has had some good results at high school level athletics. Her resting heat rate is 42 bpm, that jumps to 170bpm as soon as she starts to warm up (a very light jog).
Avatar f tn Hey guys, I've been wanting to become more active because I want to be healthy for my little man and myself. I did workout daily before I became pregnant, but went into a depression mode and stopped. I'm currently 25 weeks and was just wondering what some safe workouts would be and what is a good amount to walk everyday? Thank you!
Avatar f tn I slept like a champ last night, except for a horrible nightmare but even with the horrible nightmare I went right back to sleep. Getting ready to hop on my treadmill for a quick jog then off to my duties. Life is finally looking up! Thank God and everyone on here. Need to get into aftercare into my major project today ...finding help! Will keep everyone posted. God it feels 10 fold better than 2 weeks ago. Everyone just starting I promise it gets sooooooo much better! I am proof!

Avatar n tn I lost a total of 9 pds but now its all back. I eat healthy and watch my portions. I am able to go on the treadmill at night for about 20-30 mins. Most of the time its about 2 miles sometimes only 1. I drink water and have given up soda. What else can I do to help things along. I want to lose about 15-20 pds. to fit in my clothing from before having kids. Help please...
Avatar m tn But my big question is WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE A TREADMILL? I typically exercise with an orbital exerciser at a gym and it's great, no impact and my heart rate gets up plenty high. So why does it have to be an impact treadmill? What's the difference?
Avatar f tn U will be able to feel when ur body is ready but i would say not within the first 6weeks other then walking..
Avatar f tn Hi, you can start with some aerobic exercises like treadmill or 30 minutes a day starting with slow speed and slowly increasing the pace. After a month you may add some more exercises to your schedule like little weight training along with other equipment you have. You can also add Yoga at any stage. Be careful to eat balanced diet. Avoid taking sugars and fat in your diet. Losing weight is a slow process and issued not expect body changes before 2 to 3 months. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I walk with my husband and the dog for about an hour 2-3 times per week. It's not too brisk because our dog is a puppy and he kind of ***** in the walking dept.! I'll have to start hitting the treadmill again. I would jog/walk on the treadmill prior to pregnancy. I haven't been doing any toning or anything like that. I do have 10 lb. dumb bells that I used to use for toning my arms, but it's been a while!
467126 tn?1283144858 yeah I know how you feel before I got pregnant I used to run alot, do weights etc. Because I can only loose weight if I do the more 'vigorous' workouts. But since being 20 weeks pregnant and all..I feel like if I tried to run all my bits (tummy and sore boobs) would be jiggling everywhere. I tried doing some yoga dvds and class's but I felt like it was a lazy way to exercise..found myself staring jealously at people on the treadmill..
349463 tn?1333571576 Personally, I wouldn't cut it out. I would just cut it down. I used to exercise ALOT with my Wii Fit but I've read that lots of working out can actually interfere with ovulation. So I didn't want to take the chance that I wouldn't ovulate just because of working out. So I work out very, very, very moderately before ovulation.
Avatar f tn So my fiancè just got us a gym memebership. What workouts can I do while pregnant?
Avatar n tn I am 40 + 1 and gained 16 pounds with only having one baby in there but almost none of my maternity clothes fit anymore.
Avatar f tn Give it a try, the outdoors does something different to your moods and energy, with the fresh air, than a treadmill might. Try to force yourself to even take a short walk and perhaps you'll find yourself going for a jog, and maybe the outdoors will wake you up. Then if u are still really tired at least you can rest easy knowing you tried ;) I'm only 15 weeks so.. I have no shame resting a lot.
8572167 tn?1398761519 walk 2-3 miles during lunch break at work with 3-5 lbs. hand weight, combo of walk/run 3 miles on treadmill varying the incline, 30-45 minutes on ellipital, tone arms/legs with 8-10 lb dumbells. I want to get back into Saturday morning zumba and cant wait to swim when our community pool opens on memorial day. I'm 21+5 weeks and have gained 8lbs all baby so far.
11970743 tn?1426036106 until recently due to some pressure below I was workinh out at planet fitness 2-3 times a week...elliptical or treadmill then leg machines...I love it but fear I maybe over doing it...I just don't want to gain alot, lose my leg firmness or get out habit of working out...I find myself tired quicker and people looking at me like I shouldnt be there...should I??
Avatar f tn I'm looking for someone to follow on IG, FB, or email, books, anything to keep a fit pregnancy. Things like exercises, strain levels, core work, heart rates, weight management.
