168348 tn?1379357075 my daughter uses the solutab, you cant really give a ton of water to an infant. you could ask the pharmacist. i think the tabs are easiest, just pop it in and they disolve.
290867 tn?1333569278 That's what I have is the solutab Prevacid, but I don't know for sure if that is what amy0013 is talking about or not. It's Prevacid tablets that dissolve in water and I just give it to her with a dropper.
290867 tn?1333569278 Amy I talked to my doc and she finally put him on the Prevacid Solutabs!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy! Thanks so much for all your help!!!! Whats the best way to give them to him???
Avatar n tn Have you tried propping his crib mattress?? My oldest had reflux BAD when she was an infant. We didn't do CIO until she was 9 months old. I did co-sleeping with her for quite awhile. She slept alone no problems after 9 months. I would try to prop up his mattress. Another thing you may want to try is tummy sleeping (that is if he can roll alone and hold his head up). Another thing is to lay him down awake (or he'll expect you to be there if he opens your eyes).
Avatar n tn 5 month old son has numerous little problems, when he was born everything seemed fine, after a few months it was found that he had right tortacullus( he gets physio) stridor due to laryngomalacia, severe reflux( he is on prevacid due to numerous choking episodes and low weight) He also is on his 3rd ekg since the left ventricle reading is always high.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 5 and a halfyears old and her doctor has been treating her for the past year with prevacid solutab 15mg daily, which at first relieved her symptoms after a couple of weeks until recently. She is a very active child, she enjoys tumbling and running and cheerleading. Lately she complains that her stomach hurts, she can't breathe and when she states that she tries to take a deep breath and she says "I can't Breathe".
Avatar m tn My 4-month old daughter has acid reflux. She was prescribed Prevacid three weeks ago as she was still irritable after 4-6 weeks of Zantac. After she started Prevacid she was less irritable but developed side-effects including giving up napping during the day and green, mucus-like foul smelling stool (started this week). Oh yeah, she also has a milk protein based sensitivity. My wife is still nursing but has given up all dairy and dairy-like foods.
Avatar n tn He had such a bad day yesterday that I stopped the Prevacid dosage last night just to see what would happen. I gave him some infant tylenol this morning (no Prevacid) and he drank 4ozs, which is more than half of what he had yesterday the entire day. Any help or suggestions would be great. This has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through. My son is in extreme pain and discomfort. He screams and cries during every feeding all day long.

568875 tn?1424397205 Let me first refer to you a wonderful forum that deals with infant reflux and formula issues. Post your story under the "introduce yourself" section and you'll get plenty of wonderful tips and advice. www. infantreflux . org/forum (no spaces) Your sons story sounds exactly like what we dealt with my daughter when she was born (reflux AND tummy troubles) If your son has a milk or soy protein intolerance, a formula like Nutramigen might be helpful.
715346 tn?1229786943 Stomach issues are very very common with anxiety! Acid reflux is one of them, and this may be what you are experiencing.
Avatar f tn Im 29 weeks+3d n ive been havin acid reflux at night really bad for a week now... im having it now :( what are things to help this???
Avatar f tn Thank you for answering!
Avatar n tn Being that an infant is involved, and more so an infant born premature, SIDS would be a concern that your nephew’s Pediatricians have considered, therefore I will not mention the recommendations that the article cited, other than to briefly touch on them. The article recommended a consultation with a pediatric gastroenterologist. In addition, the thickness of the infant’s formula (or, when appropriate, cereal) and positioning the infant, were also discussed.
Avatar n tn i take prevacid for my gerd, can this cause atrial fibrillation This discussion is related to acid reflux.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 6 months old with reflux. We just took her to the GI specialist who said she had blood in her stoole. She is on Reglan and prevacid. She is getting an upper GI study. Any other meds that can help? Advise. I also had twin girls that suffered from reflux. I hate the answer they will just grow out of it around 12 months.
Avatar n tn Are you using a slow flow nipple, sometimes this can help because if the infant is feeding to fast with a regular nipple then the infant can forget to breath (apnea). I suggest talkng to your pediatrician/cardiologist that gave you the holter monitor or whoever does the follow up appointment.
Avatar n tn Could it be the combo of the two meds are causing the reflux ? Am I reading it right that when on both meds last time you stopeed the Prevacid and the Strattera worked; this time you started both again and now no relief? Iguess I'm wondering was there a period of time in the begining using both Strattera & Prevacid where you saw success? If not, then maybe it is the combo of both meds??? WELCOME to the Community!
1085237 tn?1293760646 My son has been dealing with severe acid reflux since he was two weeks old. At two weeks old he started to scream like no baby i had ever heard before. He was in such pain. He would projectile vomit, he would get strangled by the reflux, I was scared to let him sleep by his self. He would throw fits and at two weeks old when he went into a fit you had to fight to keep hold of him he would arch in a backwards C.
1448936 tn?1363206346 Yes, this can all be due to GERD/acid reflux. Acid reflux can be surprisingly annoying and I hope you find something that works well for you soon.
547002 tn?1219797376 In July i was having some swallowing problems or thought i was and they did an EGD and found nothing but a VERY tiny hiatal hernia. My stomach lining was nice and pink. I had been taking prevacid for two weeks prior to the EGD due to the trouble swallowing NOW i want to stop taking the prevacid and every time i try i get really sick. I get weak, nauseaus and for a day or two i literally go to the bathroom constantly and have loose yellow stools with stomach cramps.
