My bone density plummeted from 15% above normal to 25% below normal in 6 years (post menopause). Could Prevacid excellerate bone loss. I don't have many risk factors for osteoporosis, no family history. I take Synthroid, Verapamil, Prevacid. I eat lots of dairy, greens, almonds. I exercise daily. my left leg tibia and fibula both broken in an accideent about 8 and half months ago. fracture has alaready healed. in surgery external fixators were applied, wiring was done by making holes in the bone. while boring,drill machine was moved in a bigger diameter makeing a wound which was also burnt. this wound still not healed. a very little drop of pus ozzes...

What treatment did you have for the broken fingers? Splinting with buddy tape? Cast? Stiffness is normal after any injury especially a fracture. If you had proper treatment I would feel comfortable telling you to exercise your hand. Squeeze a rubber ball or silly putty. Do stretches of you fingers pulling them back to just past the point of stiffness then forward. If you didnt' have treatment and a follow up xray to confirm healing, I would get that done first.

m not depleting my body of minerals and vitamins anymore, and am not as likely to get infections or broken bones as easily as when I was on Nexium.
