re finding that you are getting a lot of sinus infections, etc., you may want to seriously consider other options for treating your allergies that would be more effective and could hopefully keep you from getting the infections in the first place.
She defenately sound like she has a yeast infection.There are different types of bacteria causing yeast infections therefore some can be cured over the counter, some you need a prescription for which can be cheaper than over the counter. I'm not sure what doxy is but I do know that many medicines and especially antibiotics can cause yeast infections. The biggest cause is changes in hormones which are caused by taking these. They are also caused by pregnancy.
I prefer to go to the doctor's and get diflucan. One pill and done, no annoying creams.

Seven months ago my boyfriend and I began having sex, and about two weeks later I started my period but noticed that I was having major pain and itching internally and externally towards the end of my period. I went to the OB/GYN and I did have a yeast infection for the first time ever. I wasn't on any birth control, nor taking any antibiotics, not pregnant, and the pap came back normal with no diseases.
) It has not responded at all to either jock itch or yeast infection medicines. There are two complications, one; I took a round of antibiotics about 1-2 weeks prior, 2; I do fish research so I can spend up to 30 hrs a week in waders (i.e. you are wet and clammy.) How do they test for yeast infections? I had an appointment about a week and a half ago and told my midwife I thought I had a uti because I always had to pee but when I went , nothing came out. so she made me pee in a cup. They never called me back so I'm guessing I don't have one. But, now that symptom went away and I'm just really itchy down there! I know that's a sign of yeast infection but do you think she tested my pee for that too when I went last time ???
So for the past week or so I've been feeling as if there was something in my anus-- like not too deep in there, but some kind of moving that makes it itchy... Kind of like pinworms? Except when I wipe there doesn't seem to be any worms of any sort.

Yeast infections are common in pregnancy, but is your Dr checking (like with a microscope) to make sure it is in fact yeast each time? Or are they just refilling without seeing you?
If you have a bladder infection (how do you know you do? Were you tested for it or are you just thinking you do?) you should see your doctor so he/she can give you the proper meds at your stage in pregnancy.
Ya sounds like a yeast infection to me. You could have your doctor check if you havev an appt soon. Depending on your insurance they can write a prescription for it and it will be covered. But otherwise the cream only costs like $11.
My doctor gave me a cream about two months ago and helped but i came back and the cream i have now i have been using more 3 days and it has helped a little i think but hasnt cleared it up completely yet. I didnt start having the problems right after i received the oral sex. I started having the problems after i got really sick from some kind of food poisoning this summer about 2 or 3 months ago.
Well, I guess you could consider asking your partner to get checked for fungal infections, but that's not the most common way to get yeast infections.

One of the ideas I had is that you might have passed the yeast infection to your partner (as mentioned here), who then passed it back to you.
t know what it was so it was left untreated for like 9 months.. My doctor gave me a prescription for Yeast Infection pills and the pain went away. Then a month later, it came back, I got the pills again and it then too went away. Then 2 months after that.. I got it again. (Mind you.. all this time.. I used OTC yeast infection creams, ovules, suppositories.. none work or have ever worked for me) So this last time that I have had it.. I started dating AZO Yeast and Nature Made Acidophilus tablets.
t work the doc can give you a prescription for another cream. But try the monistat and make sure you eat plenty of yogurt and that should help.
