I have been taking generic Costco (Kirkland) brand prenatal vitamins since I found out I was pregnant and I'm now almost 40 weeks. My doctor was more than okay with me taking these ones.

so my doctor did give me some prenatal vitamins that I refuse to take everyday. They're way too big so I'll buy my own.

Can anyone tell me the best prenatal vitamin to take? I'm allergic to soy and artificial coloring, why do they have to make them all pink & pretty? Anyway, I'm having a hard time finding one. Any advice would be appreciated!

Also, eating lots of vitamin rich vegs (spinach, all dark green vegs) and fruits (oranges, kiwi, all dark berries, bananas) will help naturally provide you with most of your nutritional intake for these vitamins. I didn't take vitamins. Prenatal vitamins made me sick. Take a prenatal vitamin if u want, and the Dr. Should have done blood tests to see how good Ur iron and everything is. I wouldn't take anything that the Dr. Doesn't tell me.

My RE prescribed prenatal vitamins, Vital-OB+DHA Im sorry but i was paying 32.00 for them the first 3 months, now i went and got my 4th months supply $70.00.. If you are unable to take due to nausea, try taking at night before bed... prenatal vitamins (frolic acid especially) is very important for brain development in your growing baby :) good luck!

You can take materna prenatal vitamins. You can get them from any drug store. That's usually what the doctor will suggest taking throughout your pregnancy.

If you dont mind spending a little bit more for a better prenatal. I use baby&me prenatal. Its about $30 for a month off amazon. And the pills are large. However, i absolutly love this brand! I tried a half a dozen linds before this including samples the doctor gave and they all made me sick. This one i had no side effects from. Its also made from whole foods instead of synthedic ingredients.
