Avatar n tn If you dont mind spending a little bit more for a better prenatal. I use baby&me prenatal. Its about $30 for a month off amazon. And the pills are large. However, i absolutly love this brand! I tried a half a dozen linds before this including samples the doctor gave and they all made me sick. This one i had no side effects from. Its also made from whole foods instead of synthedic ingredients.
Avatar f tn Ok so the ones i was given make me sick, what are some good prenatal vitamins I can take ? Thanks. Has anyone tried the ones from GNC? Any organic ones??
Avatar f tn Please keep in mind prenatal gummy vitamins don't have iron in them (I'm a nutritionist and I have looked at the different brands and they don't have iron).
1660049 tn?1326089018 I looked metformin up in Mosby's Drug Guide for Nurses 9th Edition and there is no mention of any interaction with vitamins. There is a mention that metformin can cause Vit B12 deficiency. Also if you take an estrogen supplement it can increase your risk for hypoglycemia. There is a long list of herbs that interact with metformin, however, so choose a prenatal vitamin that does not have herbs. I would type it out but it is a pretty long list LOL.
Avatar f tn I'm taking NatureMade prenatal vitamins that I bought from Costco. My ob said it's a good brand that have everything for pregnancy.
Avatar f tn So my obgyn told me to quit taking my prenatal vitamins because of my nausea. He told me to take Flintstones chewable tablets. I'm not a huge fan of stopping the prenatal. I've been on it before I was prego for a good 5 months. Any opinions?
961574 tn?1520648103 however i did find the following Top Rated Prenatal Vitamins After reviewing a large number of prenatal vitamins, I have found a couple I would consider to be by far the best prenatal vitamins. Both of these prenatal vitamins contain a mix of ingredients that not only help with your babies development but also helps the mother with the necessary nutrients and minerals needed to keep her healthy.
Avatar f tn So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?

581359 tn?1454006442 So we are going in on Monday for our next one, I will be 6weeks 3days so we should see something. Anyway my question is what Prenatal Vitamins are everyone taking? We were on vacation when we found out we were pregnant and I didn't have any vitamins with me so we got OneADay Women's Prenatal over the counter. I have been taking them for the past two weeks and got a prescription for Primacare One from a local Dr. I don't know how good of vitiamins they are.
Avatar f tn I take the GNC prenatal vitamins with iron. They're a bit hard to swallow though.

760797 tn?1303264540 I am wondering if it is safe to take maca root powder and royal jelly with the vitamins I am currently taking? I am taking prenatal vitamins, evening primrose oil and B complex drops. Any information would be helpful.
Avatar f tn Hey all, I am 5 wks 6 days pregnant. I seen my doc for the first time today about my pregnancy & everything went well but, he did not prescribed me to any prenatal vitamins. He told me to buy it OTC, this will be my first time purchasing it & I know there is so many diff prenatal vitamins out there. Any recommendations on which vitamins I should get ? Please!
Avatar f tn I just take one prenatal vitamin a day. I think it is possible to overdose vitamins, and esp. too much vitamin A and iron can be dangerous in pregnancy. Others, like vit. C or follic acid are water soluble, which means you will pee out the excess amounts. Definitely ask your dr. about it! You may want to check the ingredients on both, add up how much of each vitamin you're taking and then look up what dosages are dangerous.
Avatar n tn I forgot to take my prenatal vitamins last night and I had my first day free of nausea. The minute I took the pills this evening I went back to my nausea and morning sickness. Anyone have recommendations for super sensitive mamas? The brand I'm taking is Rainbow Light Prenatal One.
Avatar f tn Have anybody on here been real sick from taking their prenatal vitamins? If so, what did you do or what your doctor suggested? Also, will taking pain pills when you are in excruciating pain hinder the baby?
Avatar n tn I say you are fine

1486435 tn?1316470899 I was told that the BIG Yellowy brown Perscription prenatal vitamins were causing lots of problems, like strokes and heart attacks. 1676653 tn?1391039945 Hey ladies. The ones who keep up with my story know that I have been taking bcp. I have only taken it for a month but I had recently stopped. I couldn't take the side affects. It was nothing severe I just didn't like the way they made me feel. The other reason I stop taking them is because I got so so confused. I have a 21day pack. I started taking them the first day of my cycle. I took then everyday at the same time.
566175 tn?1278430472 Maybe my OB prescribes cheapo vitamins...lol. But the ingredients and amount of each is exactly the same in my prescription vitamins as in the Target brand. I asked my MD about generic vitamins, and he said that in most cases they are exactly the same and are often manufactured by the same companies as the name brands.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure what a Vita Pack is. I don't have a sufficient diet to provide for myself and baby, so I'll be staying on prenatal vitamins for the entire time of breastfeeding my little one. Maybe you can opt to continue prenatal vitamins rather than switching to a different product?
