Avatar f tn Does anyone have a recommendation for the best prenatal vitamins? My health insurance didn't kick in for another two months so it will have to be over the counter.
1150573 tn?1261964987 Hi, I've been told and read that you should start taking prenatals 3 months before you ttc and keep on them until you decide not to have any more children. Its never too late to start ! Folic too - before and during pregnancy - helps prevent neural tube defects and you don't want to start after you conceive.
Avatar f tn I always take prenatal vitamins before I got my BFP and Omega 3. This time around O I took a baby aspirin for a few days instead of the Omega 3 since Omega 3 is also an anti-inflamatory. Then after a few days after O, I started taking Omega 3 again with my pre-natal vitamins. I still do.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me that when you don't take the prenatals the babies can have lower birth weight. In my first pregnancy I stopped taking them about 6 months along. My son was 9 days over due and he was barely 7lbs. With this pregnancy I've taken my prenatals everyday so far and they are telling me this baby will be big, about 9lbs. I would say talk with your doctor about it. If your doctor is fine with you only drinking pregnancy milk and not taking vitamins then go with it.

Avatar n tn If you dont mind spending a little bit more for a better prenatal. I use baby&me prenatal. Its about $30 for a month off amazon. And the pills are large. However, i absolutly love this brand! I tried a half a dozen linds before this including samples the doctor gave and they all made me sick. This one i had no side effects from. Its also made from whole foods instead of synthedic ingredients.
Avatar f tn I am 22wks and I've only taken 14 prenatal vitamins my whole pregnancy. I know if you eat well (and I do sometimes) that everything will be fine but do yall suggest I still take them just in case? I dont want my son to not be healthy or lack nutrients he needs. But then again, ppl have been having perfectly fine babies way before these vitamins were invented. POST YOUR OPINIONS OR EXPERIENCES. Thanks!!
Avatar n tn I havent taken my prenatal vitamins lately. It makes my nausea worse. Is this okay?
Avatar n tn What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.
Avatar n tn If you are unable to take due to nausea, try taking at night before bed... prenatal vitamins (frolic acid especially) is very important for brain development in your growing baby :) good luck!
Avatar f tn The prenatal vitamins Made me sick. I took one the day before yesterday before I went shopping and before I could get out the door good everything I had eaten had came back up along with the pill. I knew it was the pill because of the taste n color of the vomit. Is this normal to get sick off the vitamin??
Avatar n tn I've been so busy this week, I have had trouble keeping up with taking my prenatals a couple of days(Monday and today, Friday). When I forget, I would usually just double up on the next day... but idk if I should do that, as I read that it could be harmful to baby. What do you ladies think? Is it okay to miss a day? I definitely have to start getting it together again!
Avatar f tn I had a hard time taking the prenatal vitamins the dr prescribed me.
Avatar f tn They say when the prenatal vitamins make you sick to take them at night before goint to sleep. Your metabolism is slower, ITs supposed to help. This is what my OB suggested to me, but i haven't had to since mine don't make me sick. Hope that helps.
