Avatar f tn I had three normal pregnancies with Fibromyalgia. Actually, my symptoms (aches and pains) were minimal with the pregnancies. The more you worry, the more you hurt. Just take your vitamins, minerals and do your exercises as directed by your doctor. You will do just fine.

Avatar f tn I want to comment especially on one thing that you said, which is that a bunch of other things were ruled out before you were diagnosed with fibromyalgia. What I want to mention is that I have read many articles that say that people with fibromyalgia very often also have low thyroid and cortisol levels. I was terribly sick in 2009 and thought it was just a long, bad flare of fibromyalgia, but finally this year a dr. tested and told me that i also have low thyroid. I saw a whole lot of drs.
Avatar n tn i have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and wonder can you get palpitations with it ?
Avatar f tn Iam a mother with 2 young children and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 4 years ago. Since then I have been suffering with extreme pain that never lets up. I am curious if anyone else has ideas on which medicines work better for pain. I also suffer from depression and anxiety issues. I also have difficulty sleeping, I feel so alone, because neither my family or friends understand my problems. They think I do not really have medical problems. I appreciate if anyone replies!
630344 tn?1280104983 Does anoyone else out there pregnant and have fibromyalgia? If so does it get better or do you stay in pain for the majority of the pregnancy, I am having headaches that pretty much do not ever go away and my muscles never relax and I was given the ok to take Vicodin for the headaches occasionally, but I do not want to take Vicodin on a daily basis and I need some type of relief. I was getting some relief in the sauna, but I am obviously unable to do this any longer.

I have turned to a vegan lifestyle, walk 2.5 miles a day, religiously count my calories, and drink at least 48 oz of water a day if not more. I lost 1 pound in 2 weeks!!! Can anyone relate to what I am going through and give me some helpful advice...please???
5586759 tn?1370435272 I've had Fibromyalgia since I was a teenager and I have gone through one pregnancy already, but at the time I hadn't been diagnosed properly for the ailments that I have. It's now round two, I am pregnant again, and I'm wondering about good suggestions to help maintain lower levels of pain. Last time I was put on bed rest at 8 1/2 months and that was torture for my sciatica nerve. I'm trying to stay active and strong.
Avatar m tn Hello! I have been diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia, essential tremors, arthritis in the middle of my back and lower back spinal stynosis. I am now feeling like my head is swimming and I get unbalanced VERY easily. I have checked my blood to see if I am low in sugars, but it always comes out in the 90's which are normal levels. However, if I eat something I find things get better. I have tried to eat small meals throughout the day, but I am not getting better.

Avatar f tn He then sent me to a rheumatologist who was COMPLETELY against diagnosing someone with Fibromyalgia. He instantly took me off the nuerontin that I had only been on for one month. I then returned to my neuro advising him that my symptoms continued and some were worse. Most notably SEVERE headaches, new blurry vision, complete physical fatigue and weakness and pain throughout my entire body. My MRI had shown scattered nonspecific white matter lesions in the frontal lobe.
Avatar f tn There are many other treatments for both migraines and fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia years ago. I was like a cripple trying to get dressed. Taking a small dose of Trazadone helped me some. Over the years, I kept increasing it which cured most of my symptoms. There is a new fibromyalgia med called Savella which I read praise after praise on another website. Also anti-depressants can serve as pain killers.
