pregnant

5615074 tn?1378316840 It is normal, it is actually preferred for women who are overweight to go on some type of diet, or lose weight since it can cause pregancy problems or delivery trouble, i hear the doctor i work with tell his patients this all the time.
Avatar f tn The weight issue may not be directly related to the thyroid - but untreated hypothryoid will slow weight loss efforts. The key will be the thyroid function and also looking at thyroid antibodies. Most patients are able to discontinue meds after about 6 months - the time we usually continue meds is in women planning another pregnancy who have positive thyroid antibodies.
Avatar n tn Hi! Its possible to have a natural delivery. It is only necessary to do a c-section if you have a scar on your uterus--not your abdominal wall. We don't usually recommend pregnancy until you have leveled out on the weight loss. Also, it will be very important to take your vitamins because there can be some absorption issues after this type of surgery. The surgery is great for fertilty though--often after significant weight loss, the periods resume and women begin ovulating again.
5692644 tn?1388472314 Do you plan on bfing?? I gained 36lbs during my pregnancy and had lost 18lbs at 12 days after delivery and I'm bfing and I think that has a lot to do with it!
Avatar f tn approximately how much weight is lost after delivery? im starting my 37th week and so far I've gained 23lbs.........
Avatar f tn By the time I left the hospital with my first I was already back to my pre pregnancy weight. I am hoping I lose the weight easily this time too. I gained almost 40 pounds with my first.
Avatar f tn m not sure about the belly bandit thing, but I do know from experience the best way for losing weight after pregnancy is breastfeeding and a healthy diet. Your body will burn upwards to 500 calories a day just exclusively breastfeeding..
Avatar f tn I am sorry for your loss. As a high risk RN in Labor and Delivery, I know how heartbreaking this was for you. If you can join a gym, that's the best way to start. Full service gyms offer everything from water aerobics to cardio group classes, to weight training and cardio machines. That's how I started..I consider it a wise investment in myself.

10165853 tn?1456333837 If youre over weight and not below or at a healthy weight its fine as long as youre eating enough healthy food. I became over weight with my first after him i was 170 then when i got pregnant with my second i gained 26 so after ti had him and lost the normal baby weight i ended up at 176 lbs which is over weight for me.
Avatar n tn Yeah I go every two weeks now, this is my third pregnancy, and everything is always fine this is just a little different for me, my first child I gained 100, my second 30and this one only 5.
Avatar f tn I just had my baby 6 weeks ago and I wear my belly bandit all the time, I'm actually wearing it now. Lol. And I exercise everyday, drink hot green tea every morning and take three primrose oil tablets daily.
Avatar f tn Very light positive on home pregnancy test tonight. Miscarried at 15.5 weeks gestation almost 5 weeks ago. Natural delivery no D&C. Only bled 9 days after delivery. symptoms were all gone within a week. Tonight my breasts were extremely tender and feel full again. So I decided to test... not sure if it's left over HCG from my loss. Anyone have opinions to share?
Avatar f tn I'm 36+2 and I've gained almost 50 lbs. A lot of weight gain isn't always a bad thing - every pregnancy and every woman is different. Just make sure you're eating healthy throughout your pregnancy and remaining active.
Avatar f tn Honestly, everyone is different, but I breastfed and pumped (like crazy, I had a little chunker) for the first 2 weeks after I had my son and lost all of my baby weight, plus a few pounds, without exercising. I would wait and see how breastfeeding alone helps you out. You usually can't exercise for about 4-6 weeks after delivery anyway, but even after that, walking, just simple exercises aren't going to affect anything, I'm not sure about the toxins thing, I've never heard of it.
