Common Questions and Answers about Pregnancy week by week guru

Avatar n tn If I hadn't had the m/c, I would have memories of pregnancy as a very positive experience. You mentioned that you read at 21 weeks we are in our sixth month, so here is my question to everyone: How the heck do we figure out what we are for people that don't want to be told in weeks how far along we are????? At 20 weeks I thought I was 5 months and started telling people that.
Avatar f tn um.....O_o. I know the chances of me becoming preg. are low. But I'm one of those ppl who cant stop obsessing about something. I cant stop thinking about it. I been on b/c since June 9th all the way up to now. I skipped "placebo" week because i confused my prd with spotting. I did as my dr. told me. "start the new package on the first day of your prd". so since I confused both(dont ask how....idk how but I)I started the new package.
Avatar f tn This is one of my TOP THREE books to have in your library. 2). Baby Catcher by Peggy Vincent - this is a memoir by a midwife about her joys and sorrows catching babies. Midwives will never say they are delivering your baby. YOU are delivering your baby; they are there to observe and to catch (unless you or hubby decide to catch baby yourselves). Very moving, very entertaining. But this is more of a book to enjoy and not a necessity when planning for your own birth.
217229 tn?1192766004 i went UND between week 12 & 15. 1a , 51 yo male, bx 1/2, Peg 180 riba 1200, week 25/48. minimal sx, mostly just lethargic.
Avatar n tn Your Heath and state of mind are important too. Afterwards there are tests that can be done to detect most of the disease either by DNA blood test, the nuchal translucency screening at 12 weeks of pregnancy and Amniocentesis would be performed in case of a doubt. I have few friends that had baby after 40 naturally, out of 4, there is only one that had a son with autism, this cannot be detected. It's not easy, especially being a single mother and a professional, but she adores her son!
6470732 tn?1439559892 and you are obviously soooooo much better than them, then prove how superior you are by answering their questions instead of telling them they don't deserve their babies. >> THIS IS A PREGNANCY FORUM. PREGNANT WOMEN COME HERE FOR ANSWERS. ITS PURPOSE IS SO WE CAN SUPPORT EACH OTHER. A lot of women are young, first time moms. Maybe we don't want paint fumes to affect our baby. That makes them dumb. Apparently. Yeah, real helpful. You're gonna be a great role model for your kid.
Avatar f tn Hi guys I have posted numerous amounts but just need some advice and a general perk me up. If you don't know I was bitten week ten of pregnancy and noone knew what my symptoms were until I went to BS after research when NHS told me I was just anxious ? I tested igenex positive igm at week 30 of my pregnancy ... So basically lyme went undiagnosed and therefore untreated throughout my second trimester . I was treated from week 30 up until 40 weeks when I had my baby ..
Avatar f tn Postpartum OCD by Dr. Jonathan Abramowitz and Prenatal and Postnatal OCD by OCD-UK. And find a therapist qualified to do Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as fast as you can. The International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation website has referrals to local therapists. Good luck. This is much more common than anyone would think, and I suggest you get your help in place now, as things could be difficult after the birth as well.
Avatar m tn I'm from Australia, and my 25 yr old wife has suffered from whats been diagnosed as Prinzmetal Angina, or Coronary Artery Vasospasm for the last 5 years - and frankly we're running out of options on what treatment or opinion to seek next. Our local 'guru' cardiologist has all but ceased any helpful input as he's stumped too...
Avatar m tn There is also a neti pot, which was demonstrated by Dr. Oz on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Many people swear by a neti pot, so it is apparently effective for some colds and some sinus infections. However, a neti pot flush may or may not reach the upper part of the sinuses. They are now widely available. ***BUT, before you try anything here, you should go to a doctor and have your problem checked out. You may have a problem that looks like a sinus infection, but is something else.
Avatar f tn ) and working so hard to have a nice life - but struggling so long along the way - so many infections, so much bad luck and bad timing along the way - yes, I made many mistakes in the beginning of my life - but have had more hardship than many - I still have student loans to pay from nursing school - no home and no savings - I live week to week with my paycheck - in pain and alone and up hope of any good in this world - at least for me, anyways...
480448 tn?1426952138 For a person who is experiencing this for the first can be VERY upsetting and disturbing. I was there before as well...the first time I went through this, I was convinced there was something wrong with my eyes. Everything just "looked" so weird, so odd. I almost felt like I was having out of body experiences...or was watching the world through a movie projector, instead of through my own eyes and mind.
Avatar n tn For a few years, I have experienced night sweats about a week to a couple of days before my period. They usually stop the first day of my period and then start up again the next month. And when I say sweats, I mean drenching... getting up at night at least twice to change and wanting to change my bedding but being too tired to do so. I have spoken with only gynecologist who blew it off. I have since changed gynecologists, but haven't met with her yet to discuss this.
299260 tn?1304219705 as of 1 hour and 15 minutes ago, she was 2 cm dilated, 50 % effaced. Her doctor expects Addy's birth by 6 a.m.! She was on her way to the hospital & will spend the night there so she will definitely be there for Addy's birth! =) She'll be checked again in an hour. I'll update with any new information!
318181 tn?1336447096 I've had a couple positive home pregnancy tests this week, but they've been faint, and the last time I had faint positives, I ended up with an ectopic pregnancy, so I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up too much.
299260 tn?1304219705 but I was thinking, since I have to host the shower this weekend, that I probably won't test until maybe next week....I've been feeling a little down latley and I guess not seeing a BFN will keep my spirits up so I can concentrate my emotions and get thru the shower. Good luck today, especially with the glucose test! Princess_Crankypants: ha ha ha a PhD to read the OPKs!! ha ha that is too funny and SO true!! ....
Avatar f tn I also developed several chronic skin conditions upon finishing tx, as did an old member Jim (jmjm), on the forum. Don't let people mislead you by saying it is coincidental...these are the exact issues that are common to the group that has developed serious problems after tx. Many doctors readily acknowledge that interferon can cause these problems, and rheumatologists across the country are seeing many of these patients, who present with the same issues after tx.
Avatar f tn How long was your longest cycle in the past? If you are CD 33, you could get a BFp by the end of the week if everything was still on time!
Avatar f tn or so but I have yet to lose weight by myself. I work out 5 days a week and watch what I eat (I believe another hormone issue - if you're interested Google Syndrome X or Insulin Resistance Syndrome contributes to my difficulty losing weight). I honestly believe that depo threw my body into hormone hell...I would love someone to get them back the way they're supposed to be!! Is it possible to start a class action lawsuit against the makers of Depo Provera?!?
Avatar f tn I have coped with this by managing my time and environment which basically means, I can't work, I avoid any situations that would provoke stress or over stimulate me. This is not what I was like before, I was outgoing, worked and had a great social life. I have changed and often feel dead inside. What has this drug regime done to me really? Yes, the hep c is undetectable but I can never donate blood or major organs (even tho I'm cured...joke!
Avatar n tn Dr. Steve, I am curious about your reaction to some of the posts. I accept that you didn't like our responses to Danielcc. I don't agree but I can see it became very negative. But as someone pointed out, it was a defensive posture and he was without a doubt engaging in a personal attack against a very well liked and respected member. I also see you deleted my thread on combining codeine with valium which I admit was getting a little frivilous toward the end.
Avatar n tn Now, 11 months later the weight is dropping off tremendously, but I am getting accused of starving myself by my doctors, which I am not. I exercise four day a week (less than on the lexapro) and eat like I did on the lexapro. Unfortunatly, I have ulcerated by colon from the lexpro (I had no Gi problems prior to taking lexapro). Yes the weight does drop off about a year later. Good luck!
4939681 tn?1361302899 Everything I've experienced including this new flu-like rage are symptoms that I have experience on a continual 3-4 (or so, my journaling has been pretty bad) week cycle since my transfusion a year ago. The cycles of symptom flare ups got more and more intense on their own over the year and then with the doxy I am pretty much useless. I don't know if it was a natural progression or if it was magnified by the doxy, but my goodness it's extreme!
1647691 tn?1363727302 You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face..." -Eleanor Roosevelt "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.
Avatar n tn He had double dosed a couple of days on Biaxin, by mistake, and got very ill. So he quit taking everything. I spent two days trying to convince him he wasn't crazy (although I really wasn't sure at the time). He begged us not to take him to the hospital until Saturday night. Intially, it was beleived he had a stroke because the cat scan showed a spot on the frontal lobe. But evidently the tech who read it failed to info us he was thrashing around as they were doing it. My father's dr.
Avatar n tn I've just begun to have these symptoms 1 week ago. The itching is only at night though... it begins at around 8pm every night, and there is little to no itching in the day. I have also had yeast infections before and this is definitely not one. I am also in a monogamous relationship so STD's are out of the question. I haven't called my doctor yet but I have been using hydrocortisone cream and it is a God send. It really helps me move on and be productive and sleep and such.
Avatar n tn This suppose to help cleanse the body of toxins (by the way I've been on a 3 week water fast that works wonders for that). You suppose to take all these herbal supplements. You suppose to drink a lot of pure water. Kevin talks about how Americans are obese because we live in air conditioning, drink tap water, eat junk food, and eat American grown foods that are injected with hormones. We crave this junk food because it is addictive. I agree with Kevin that this is contributing to obesity.
