10947 tn?1281404252 Hello All, We'll soon be introducing a new feature for our expecting moms. The Pregnancy, Week-by-Week application will allow you to read all about what's happening to your body and to your baby during any given week. It'll track where in your pregnancy you are and send you emails to let you know when you've started a new week as a reminder to read the new information for that week.
Avatar f tn When I put my LMP in it says I would be in the first week of pregnancy. Now I know this is extremely early, but I really think I might be pregnant. Did anyone else have any symptoms like these, and this early? My pregnancy test said negative, but I know it's too early for it to pick up the hormones anyways. Please give me feed back! Thanks!

Avatar f tn There was a study we went over in college that said women who have a positive pregnancy test sooner, or before their missed period, have a higher chance to miscarry. There's a slew of variables that weigh into that study. I would advise you to just ease your mind at this point. You won't find much on 1-2.5 weeks into pregnancy because a lot of biology is still taking place.
Avatar f tn u/s will give you an estimate, they aren't exact but they are usually only off by a week or so. Not a whole month. 11 weeks from this friday would be April 9th. That doesn't line up with either sexual encounter so you may need a paternity test after the baby is born.
Avatar n tn I am worried that I may have had a missed miscarriage as I had a heavy bleed after sex about a week after what would have been the date of conception. The pregnancy tests I have taken were all taken just over a week after this bleeding happened. Is it possible that this has happened? It will be another 6 weeks until my first scan and I can't stop worrying.
Avatar f tn Does The Week Difference Matter With My u/s And Lmp??
Avatar f tn No matter how fast a baby grows compared to average or how large the baby is at a later ultrasound, the ultrasound that matters for trying to guess when conception was is the one in the 6th or 7th week, not later ones. The due date they told you in your sixth week and in your seventh week should remain the baby's due date no matter how fast she grows. Some babies grow faster or slower than average. That doesn't change their due date.
Avatar f tn Conception is the moment the sperm meets the egg. It is true that if no egg is ready, the sperm can wait around for 4 to 5 days for an egg to appear, but fertilization is pretty much instantaneous. (It doesn't take five days for a sperm to fertilize an egg once you ovulate.) My conception calculator suggests that conception was around the 26th.
Avatar f tn If it was a sixth-week or seventh-week ultrasound, the projections from it could possibly be spot-on, but even by the tenth week babies begin to develop at different rates. By week 12, it can be +/- 7 days either direction. Correct me if I am wrong about your dates -- September 21, date projected by an ultrasound to be your conception date September 23, sex with guy #1 September 27, date projected by 10w4d ultrasound as conception date September 28, sex with guy #2 Is this right?
Avatar f tn It is said to start beating around 22 days after conception, which (given the way pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last menstrual period) is at about 5 weeks and a day or thereabouts. However, if your last period was irregular or your ovulation was a little early or a little late, that time frame is not entirely precise.
Avatar m tn But there is no way to precisely date the beginning of a pregnancy from an ultrasound from the 22nd or 24th week of pregnancy. By now, the margin for error in dating would be a couple of weeks plus or minus. All those later ultrasounds can tell you, given the differences in growth rates in babies, she could have conceived any time in late June through late July. Did she get an early ultrasound, such as in her 7th or 8th week?
Avatar f tn That is why pregnancy, which takes 38 weeks from conception to full-term birth, is counted as being 40 weeks long by doctors, textbooks, nurses, ultrasounds, everything. It's a common language and well known in the medical world, and continues to be used nowaways, to keep everything calibrated with the textbooks and the way doctors are taught. This leads to the rather peculiar phenomenon that the first two weeks of the GA count, the woman isn't actually pregnant yet.
1121184 tn?1259329435 I am on the 26th week of pregnancy and i just had my TSH checked for the first time during pregnancy. You see my doctor never told me before that i should check it at the begining and during my pregnancy nor had he informed me about the adverse effects on the fetus caused by elevated TSH. Well my TSH was 3.09 and the previous check up which i had done one month before conception showed a TSH level of 1.82.
Avatar f tn Okay so I am pregnant with my 4th child and I have never understood how they calculate how far along you are. It is not possible to be pregnant on the first day of your period so to count day 1 as pregnancy day 1 seems stupid to me. Now my due date and the Dr.'s due date are only different by a day so it shouldn't matter much except that by putting me 2 weeks ahead of my pregnancy by going from my period would put baby 2 weeks ahead in testing and ultrasound.
Avatar f tn OK...a little bit of background. 2 mos ago, I had a missed pill. Followed the in-pack instructions and took the missed pill the following morning and my pill that evening as usual. This has thrown my cycles off like crazy. My last "period" during placebo week was the pill pack prior to the missed pill. I am now having the typical placebo week bleeding between the 2nd and 3rd weeks of the active pills, with not even as much as spotting during the placebo week.
1300874 tn?1277517227 ve had a total of 4 miscarriages throughout the years and every pregnancy ended at about week 6-14. The first couple of times I got pregnant, I was on Clomid. Sometimes I was prescribed Progesterone, to help support the pregnancy. It would help my levels increase for a while, and then at or around the 12th week I would start bleeding. Then last year I got pregnant, but the only thing I had taken around that time was an antibiotic.
Avatar f tn Maybe there are going by your conception date and not by your LMP?? Because that would give you the two week difference from the 11 week 5 days to the 13 weeks...Just a thought. :) You should be do soon, right? :) What is your due date?
Avatar f tn On February 8th I had a 6 week ultrasound that gave me a due date of October 4th. That has been consistent with her measuring just 2 days ahead. Is the 6 week ultrasound the most accurate in pinpointing conception? I had sex January 2nd,the 9th and the 12th.
Avatar m tn I'm a tensed to be mom, I am in the 10th week of pregnancy n I started to take 50mcg levothyroxine for low thyroid at 9th week, is it late to start the meds and would it effect the baby's development. pls help me out .... i would be relieved to hear from someone who had no thyroid at all earlier and started taking meds at 10+ week of pregnancy and what was the result at end and their experience or any specialized person in the field....
Avatar f tn thanks for the useful advice, i am abit worried as i was with another guy only one night on the 24th april, then a week later exactly 7 days after the 24th i take a home pregnancy test and it shows positive. so im realy praying it isnt from this one night mistake. but it looks positive that it really isnt and that its more likely from the beginning of april end of march, bcos my preiod ended around the 26thish of march. plus the doctor said its unlikely the test would show positive 7 days later.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy symptoms can vary from woman to woman and some can be experienced as early as a week after conception. Some common pregnancy symptoms include implantation bleeding (around 6-12 days after conception), sore breasts (as early as 1 week after conception), fatigue, missed period, nausea, headaches, among others. The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to take a test. It is best to wait until you are late for your period to test. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Depending on how regular your cycles are, it could be either guy. Since this is May, go to the ob-gyn like right now, and get an ultrasound. Tell them you aren't sure when your last period was and ask them to tell you the estimated due date of the baby, based on the embryo's measurements and developmental markers. You're still early enough in the pregnancy for an ultrasound to be helpful in dating conception, but this won't be true for long.
Avatar f tn By your ultrasound dates, you would have conceived in March 3 with a margin for error of +/- a certain number of days depending on how late the ultrasound was in the pregnancy. If it was any later than week 6 or 7, you really can't use it to pinpoint a conception date that closely. According to your last period, you would have conceived around March 6, but last periods really aren't reliable for pinpointing conception either.
