I've just heard that there are 14 weeks in a trimester!! Which if you think about pregnancy might be 42 weeks, it doestooes sense. That could be the confusion! I always thought 12 weeks is the end of the first trimester too!

i thought it was the 13th week but i was looking at pregnancy trackers and some people who are at 13 weeks still say first trimester so is it the 14th week? lol i cant believe i dont know this....but i dont! thanks ladies!

yeah MH says "congratulations you're in the second trimester!" in your day-by-day pregnancy guide when you turned 13w BUT it doesn't show 2nd until 14wk on your ticker... I considered myself 2nd halfway through the 13th week because I think, by days, that's when it converts... but I'll be celebrating 2nd trimester on MH when my ticker changes over tonight to 14wk LOL.

as you probably know, that first trimester is the most critical and important for a baby's development. i am not sure if it will show in his/her system but it may, like tryingtocope said, have some effects on his development after being born. prenatal care is so important. be diligent with your appointments and sonograms. hoping for the best for you and your baby.

Bone structure starts in the first part of the second trimester. Its not at all uncommon for babies to not have bone structure in the first trimester. I would not be so hasty to terminate. Give it a couple months to see what progresses of the pregnancy!!!!!
