Avatar f tn Just to let you know that there is hope for us over 40 years to concieve. I'm 45 yrs and nearly 32 weeks pregnant with baby no.4 for me.This is my husbands first baby. It all hasn't been a bed of roses,as last year I had 2 miscarriages but we kept on trying and didn't give up hope. I have big age gabs between my other children,26,22,15 yrs and 3 granddaughters. I did have an anmio to see that everything was ok due to my age which results were just fine.
Avatar n tn Good luck to you! I was over 45 when I had my son, and had an uneventful pregnancy and delivered at 39 weeks 4 days.
1272624 tn?1395437957 It just seems like being 40 is so different than being 45 when it comes to TTC. I'm not abandoning my TTC over 40, because without you I could not have gone through this. I love all of you, I would no absolutely nothing!
Avatar f tn You can get false negatives, but not false positives. Over 35 and especially over 45 is a high risk pregnancy. You need to quit that smoking asap, I quit the day I had a positive pregnancy test. Get to your Dr asap and cut out any nonessential medications.
Avatar n tn I'm 45 and not trying to get pregnant. I just took a pregnancy test 2 days ago ( in the evening) and it came back "positive" then I took another one this morning and it came back negative. What is going on? Is it possible I'm going through changes and my hormones are all over the place? I'm going to take a blood test on Monday morning, but I was curious if anyone had some insight on this.
Avatar f tn Wow 45 days to go but it still seems ages im so over being pregnant and i can't wait to meet my prince it seem sooooooo long and boring and frustrating and all this aches and pain are getting worse and worse :(
Avatar n tn but at 45, you are still in the running for a successful pregnancy and don't be put off by the negative medics response to your age in terms of pregnancy. read great books and pray. get to know your body all over again. it's a different experience having a baby now than it was when you had your two boys. it can be glorious. i was almost 43 when i had my last child and at 47 i am still hopeful for a naturally concieved 4th child. good luck.
Avatar f tn I delivered 1.5 weeks ago and the delivery went fine. My normal hr pre pregnancy was 70-80 resting. In recovery I noticed that it was 65 but didnt have any concerns because I new that I had just delivered. Over the weekend it went down to 55 and now today 45BPM. I went to the ER and my blood pressure was normal. They did a VCT and an ultra sound of my legs and found no clots. They also did a chest x ray and that was fine. What could be happening to me.
Avatar n tn Hi -- I wrote you two weeks ago about whether it was worthwhile to pursue fertility drugs at age 45 and 1/2. (I recently had a high-normal 3rd-day FSH score of 10, which was the only testing we did. We have been married/trying to have a baby for a year, and we weren't ready to go ahead with donor eggs.) Anyway, it turns out I was actually pregnant--without any fertility treatments--as I posted my question! And now I'm both excited and a little nervous.
804860 tn?1238121947 If you had a healthy pregnancy at 40, chances are good that you'll also have one at 45 if you're in good health. I had a wonderful pregnancy at 44 - one thing that helped me is that my ob just treated me like I was any other pregnant woman & not some delicate, fragile thing that was over the hill - LOL. The odds are terrible for having a successful IVF for women 45+. In fact 4% seems optimistic when compared to other sites (cdc.
Avatar f tn Are you saying that your ONLY indicator is a missed period, or are you saying you had a positive pregnancy test? Congratulations if so! If not, take a home pregnancy test, as missing a period is not enough by itself to indicate pregnancy even if you weren't 45. :) As far as your question "has anyone reading this delivered a healthy baby at 46?
890590 tn?1241401015 The published odds of having a child with Down's is 1 in 30 at 45 yrs of age. The odds of miscarraige are extremely high. Not just at 45, but with every yr over 35, the odds increase. A Nuchal Translucency scan can be performed between 11-14wks. It is a non-invasive procedure which tests for Down's amongst a few other genetic defects. It is not 100% accurate. But, if an amnio is not desired, it is the best way to test. Amnio is far more accurate.

Avatar f tn I just found out I am pregnant at 45... I am so scared. I have 4 children 24, 20,15 and 5. My 20 yr old is having a baby this month and my 24 just informed me he and his wife are having a baby. This should be time for me to enjoy being a grandmother and I find out I'm pregnant. I haven't said anything to my kids I'm so scared. My husband is so happy.... I'm so scared. Anyone else out there who may understand?
Avatar f tn congratulations girl at being 45 and a BFP. I am 45 also and have a beautiful little 18 month old son. He is wonderful and perfect, so I know it can be done at our age. I did get pg twice this year...we weren't trying, in fact we were trying "not to"....however trying to keep track of the calendar didn't work and we got pg twice at the age of 45. both of them sadly ended in m/c though.

898530 tn?1268622382 Hello, just wanted to know how the pregnancy went for some of you that may be 40 or over such as myself. The doctor has warned me of possible pre-clampsia and possible premature labor but I wanted to hear some of your stories and your experiences of those of you that have gone through it and lived it. And if possible, any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
Avatar m tn Of course you can. I had my daughter 2 mos before I turned 45. Do you still have cycles? If you haven't had a menstrual cycle in over a year, then I'd wonder, but otherwise, why couldn't you still be pregnant?
15539259 tn?1441228641 The forum for women with success stories of pregnancy over 45 seems very dated ... and new and encouraging posts for me. I have had 3 miscarriages in the past 3 years - I don't have any children. Reunited with my beau after 16 years apart ... neither one of us got married or had any children and we are so desperately wanting JUST one - that's all we ask for = ) Went through all the typical fertility testing - Im healthy as can be - just AMA as they like to say.
Avatar f tn Hello girls. Just wondering what I can do to stop gaining so much weight ! * yes this week I'm watching what I eat & I'm going to do some pregnancy work outs. I was thinking twice a day for 30minutes-1hour Just curious how many times should I eat a day ?
Avatar n tn I am so happy I found this thread! I am 44 will be 45 in june. I started a group TTC over 45. I know I'm not 45 yet, but I think at 44 our fertility is a little different from 40. I think maybe its a bit harder. I'm excited to hear about some of you pregnant over 40 something! It gives me hope. I just have to check, I know this thread has been around a few years, I wanted to check up on some of you!
Avatar n tn I have two kids, one is over 45 lbs and the other just over 30 and I lift them all the time. Don't push it though, if your body is sending you signs that you shouldn't overextend yourself, by all means heed that warning.
Avatar f tn I am not certain of the percentages, but there are many many women having babies over 35 (otherwise we would have no need for this forum..lol). I am 41 and am fertile as a bunny rabbit. I just had a healthy baby boy in January, and yes, he was naturally conceived. If you are in fact trying to get pregnant, I wish you luck!!!
Avatar m tn I'm 45 and want to get pregnant. What can I do to prepare my body? I also have cysts that come go.
