572651 tn?1531002957 I can't encourage you enough to stop through the NMSS site I've listed below and read her reports - they include pregnancy exposure to dmd, aging and tx of ms, and dna markers to predict MS, among other things. I believe you will be encouraged and excited by much of the news coming out of ECTRIMS. Be sure to select older posts at the bottom of the page to see more. http://blog.nationalmssociety.
Avatar f tn I was just wondering if anyone keeps a detailed journal or blog or diary of your TTC journey - TTC more so than pregnancy. I would be interested in seeing how many of us have done that... Over a dozen years ago, I was TTC naturally with secondary infertility and I just recently threw away my temping charts (done hard copy on graph paper at that time)... Now I almost wish I had not.

5070822 tn?1363147960 Withdrawals from Subutex are very unpleasant and may keep your baby in the NICU and away from your loving arms for many days. I suggest that you read my blog on pregnancy and addiction that talks more about it. Click on my name in blue and than "blogs". Good luck to you and make sure you discuss all of this with your OB. If your OB is unfamiliar with Subutex, please make sure that you go to a hospital where the pediatricians are familiar with how to treat a baby such a yours.
Avatar f tn Please read my blog on Pregnancy and Addiction by clicking on name in blue and then on blogs. Good luck to you and your growing family. You must take care of yourself for your baby. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn In fact, they said they would prefer me to stay on the medication during pregnancy because if I'm not healthy and taking care of myself, it would be bad for the baby. There are blogs like this one for mothers and mothers to be where you can post your question. I have a couple of sites I can send you tomorrow from work. They are on my work e-mail, but I will e-mail them to you tomorrow. Almost everyone who responded to me had no problems.
Avatar n tn Every state has different regulation and it may vary from hospital to hospital. It can also depend on your OB/midwife. What they tell you can very much depend on you, if you got regular and early prenatal care, very cooperative and followed all their instructions; if you present yourself as a caring and cared for mother to be, then there may not be any reason for them to test you.
Avatar f tn You should be aware that baby's meconium will show every drug the pregnant woman have used from the 20th week of pregnancy. But you should relax they do not just take babies away from their mothers unless there are major indicators for doing so. If she behaves in a measured, reasonable manner, dresses appropriately, shows that she is taking care of herself, thus of the baby, I'm sure it will be fine.
Avatar m tn Suboxone is a much safer drug for pregnancy then heroin. She can certainly deliver and nurse while taking it. Her OB/midwife must be involved in this process without any questions. They will find out one way or another. Every state has different regulation and it may vary from hospital to hospital. It can also depend on your friend's OB/midwife.
Avatar f tn Congratulations on your upcoming motherhood. It is caring, wonderful women like you who make the most nurturing, amazing, selfless mothers. Your baby girl is so very lucky. It would be best for both you and her to be gently tapered off of Suboxone while you are still pregnant, so that you are both drug free by the time of the delivery and she will not need to go through any withdrawals at all.
Avatar f tn If you stay clean, your baby will also be clean when born and will not go into withdrawals so you will be able to have healthy, normal bonding routine. You will be able to nurse, as long as you continue to stay clean, of course. But you must be aware about the meconium (baby's first stool). Anything you consumed after the twentieth week of pregnancy will be found in it, but it does not mean you should panic. Every state has different regulation and it may vary from hospital to hospital.
Avatar m tn Hi well i've tried to read most of the blogs on women on zoloft during pregnancy. My girlfriend was just prescribed zoloft yesterday for her depression and anxiety. I've being reading on all the side effects and damm they are scary she is on her 36th week and she is taking 25mg of it can anyone tell us if our baby will have any difficulties when she is bon?
Avatar f tn The Mayo Clinics Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy is awesome. I also enjoyed The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. It's full of info and also had me laughing out loud on several occasions.
Avatar n tn Has anyone gotten pregnant immediately after a miscarriage (not waiting for at least one period) and had a successful pregnancy?Even though doctors recommend waiting for at least one period before trying again, I wondered whether anyone has had a successful pregnancy without waiting. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Ur doctor must know of what ur taking, how many milligrams, how often, and for how long during ur pregnancy so if there is any kind of problem with u or ur baby after birth or during pregnancy they can give you both the righy treatments. Good luck to you and I pray you make the right choice.
Avatar f tn Questions sometimes pop up here about Lyme disease and pregnancy. The MD who blogs as 'LymeMD' (and has recently revealed his true name and location) has just posted a piece on Lyme and pregnancy. It doesn't have a specific 'to do' list, but instead discusses the situation generally. Might be interesting/helpful to those of you in baby mode. The site is at LymeMD.blogspot.com. (If you search only for 'LymeMD', other unrelated things will come up too.
Avatar f tn I'm also ftm and I have moments where I'm overwhelmed, but I manage to get to a place of serenity and realize this is normal. I also suffer from depression of and on and have had some good cries during my pregnancy, but I've learned to use my instincts and coping mechanisms from my past. Don't feel guilty about how you feel, the baby is fine as long as you're getting your rest, eating well and recognizing how you feel rather than keeping it in.

Avatar f tn Sep 9th- Start of period Sep13th- Unprotected sex Sep 29th- Stringy brown discharge Oct 1-4 - Increased brown discharge Oct 4- It looks like a period but it is 4 days early and not typical bleeding but a little heavier that IB (from blogs) This month I have experienced, swollen/tender breast, nausea, mood swings, light cramping, back aches (lower around hips), FREQUENT urination, bloated tummy a little below belly button, runny nose.
Avatar n tn My questions are what is the likelihood that I can continue with a normal pregnancy and what is the likelihood that the baby would have delays or disease? I have been on a couple of blogs where women stated they miscarried after starting the levothyroxine. How long does it take to correct the hypothyroidism?
