I had a supracervical hyterectomy 5 years ago, and cannot take estrogen replacement of any kind, due to the extreme constipation it causes me. 5 years later, I am now having pain in my vaginal and cervical area, which seems now to only get worse when I try to apply any kind of feminine lubricant. I was recently diagnosed with vulvodynia by my gynecologist, after other diagnoses for vaginal pain. Then, I had a screening by a chiropractor that said my L1 disc was not right and that this could be affecting various organs including my vagina. Does anyone know of any research connecting these two thing? Has anyone been through a similar situation and can offer advice? Thanks!
I have had vulvodynia for about 8 years now and it is one of the hardest things to treat.I have had very little luck with getting some relief.creams seem to make the problem worse,and they say not to do surgery because the problem just comes back.I really dont have any answers, for this really bad illness! It can destroy relationships,and marriages.Thank goodness I have a real understanding husband and even we have had our problems because of this.

I have this condition and dealt with pain, burning, stinging, itching for years after many doctors i was diagnosed with Vulvodynia. First I ruled out STDS, then followed all directions. Refrained from sex, started wearing only full white cotton underwear, wiping with baby wipes after peeing, wearing loose clothing and researching everything about the disorder.

I'm have a hard time believing it's true. Fall of last year I switched from the birth control pill to the Depo shot in hopes of eliminating side effects. Initially I had no issues with the shot, but in November I became very ill, caught the flu, and my health plummeted. I was sick until February.
If it doesn't go away, definitely check in with your doctor. I don't think that would be related to the vulvodynia but your doctor can better guide you.

However, im still having intermittent irritation/ pain/tingling thoughout everyday. So today my doctor said she thinks I have Vulvodynia; have you ever heard of herpes causing this?..... Hi ,last question I have vulvodynia causes by pelvic floor spams the doctors said. It came around the time of me having warts (hpv) do u think hpv was the cause, I heard no but it came at the same time. I have no signs of infections , been tested for all std and infections even herpes my ex was tested also. Besides the hpv 5 years I am clean. Have you heard of hpv causing vulvodynia.
The only anti anxiety medication iv been on is pregabalin,was on it for over a year but it didnt really agree with me.im currently taking fluxoteine 20mg x 2 a day and cinerazine.Im looking for a anti anxiety drug to help stop this dizziness that iv had for over 2 years,im not looking for a "fix" but something to help me while i battle this anxiety and agoraphobia.Have you ever been on buspar?
I did ask about those things, I've had this off and on for years..they said it's neither of those as Lichen Sclerosis shows white patches and I don't show the signs of Lichen planus. I'm starting to wonder if it's Vulvodynia as I get very anxious and it seems to flare up with that...does anyone else have Vulvodynia here?
I've been tested for STD's and yeast, it's not that.
