can anyone tell me what Lyrica is and Savella, in england Lyrica is a company who make a drug called Pregabalin,thats what i am on now,been back to doc 2day and he has give me a larger dose of pregabalin.

The only anti anxiety medication iv been on is pregabalin,was on it for over a year but it didnt really agree with me.im currently taking fluxoteine 20mg x 2 a day and cinerazine.Im looking for a anti anxiety drug to help stop this dizziness that iv had for over 2 years,im not looking for a "fix" but something to help me while i battle this anxiety and agoraphobia.Have you ever been on buspar?

I'm 21 and male. I was having arm pains which was caused by neck pain for bad posture on computer desk. So I went to the GP (general medicine) and he said the pain is for the neck, and it will go away and asked me to do some static neck exercise and swimming and prescribed 'Pregabalin m-75' to take for 1 month and stop.

Hi i wondered if anyone could explain there experience of Pregabalin (Lyrica?) i have been on Gabapentin for the last 3 months with only a little success (the twitches have reduced considerably) but no relief pain. Now the Dr is going to swap me to Pregabalin which has to be done slowly to switch from one to the other, so this will start as soon as I'm home from holiday. I wondered if anyone had done this and what there experience of the drugs are?

no it is not arthritis.....my question is....what will happen if she combines the methadone and the pregabalin?...she takes methadone about every other day...a bottle of 130mg methadone will last her almost 5 to 6 days....any info would be helpful.

Thanks for that, Tuck. I've had a look through PubMed database to see if there have been scientific studies specifically on the question of tolerance, but without joy. As far as I can tell, the main assumption/claim is that because pregabalin is not known to be metabolically active (ie, the liver and body don't metabolise it into other molecules) the patient shouldn't develop tolerance. I am now a bit more sceptical of that claim.

How do I find out about trials?...will my doc tell me and ask if thats something I'm interested in them or do I have to find them for myself?...Im just wonderinf...

i was on a trial for virimadine so i was treated with that and interfuron... would i be eligible for any of the new trials for non-responders ? im guessing no because i have absolutely no results from this trial they told me NOTHING except after 6 months it wasnt working and they stoped it... i could try and get on a new trial for treatment naive and i guess i could just lie and say i never treated...

I was wondering if anyone knows of... or could direct me in how to find trials for non-responders in the southern California area.

I was in the last boceprevir trial. Like epiphiny says, it is to get a baseline and suitability. It's all pretty standard in trials and would be a good idea for most people starting TX, too. To be honest interferon can cause bizarre problems like lung damage, heart palpitations, etc. Not too common, but it happens.

Are there any new trials other than interferon or ribaviron, I've relasp twice and there nothing else my Doc says he can do.

Anyway just before we went, I had an dr. appointment. In short he is changing the Gabapentin to Pregabalin which he is asking my GP to over see when I'd returned from holiday. Also did a blood test for sarcoid, as I have had eye problems, he felt this was unlikley but wanted the test done. If that is negative he is refering me to a specialist for botox which will help the TN pain. So I have returned to find a letter from my GP to go and see him as soon as I return from holiday.

People using high doses of pregabalin (> 1000 mg/day) report problems stopping this medication. My attitude about certain reported side-effects, like weight gain, is that I'll never know what they'll do to me until I try.

I can guarantee not only will your pain come back, but you will so miserable! I take its cousin, pregabalin, for nerve pain in my back, and occasionally I run low on them and you would not believe how many aches and pains a person really has until they quit a drug to help all that. It is a fairly mild drug, however, so it's not like you won't be able to function, you just won't be a happy camper.

t spoken to my Dr yet as the surgery has been shut over Xmas and I did expect evrything to calm down since increasing the Pregabalin, am currently visiting my lovely stepdaughter for a few days (sitting with my feet up and playing with her laptop) I am seeing my neuro in a few weeks but am wondering if I should visit my Dr again as at this rate I doubt I will be back to work next week - the Hospital did mention putting me on a steroid drip and then changed their minds - is this the way forward?

I have recently seen my Neurologist, who has confirmed I am suffering with Anxiety and has suggested I go on a drug called Pregabalin and he has said it will help my sleep problem. My question is has anyone had any experiences with this drug, if so comments very welcome.

So my GP prescribed me static neck exercise, swimming and prescribed to take Pregabalin-M 75 (Pregabalin-Methylcobalamine tablets 75mg) For 1 month and then stop. I took 5 doses yet. But I'm having this following side-effects - dizziness, sleepiness whole day, lack of interest and and concentration, bad mood, sexually charged dreams, erection problem and lack of libido or interest in sexual desire. I have a high libido by default. But I'm not feeling it since I took the medicines.

I was on 1800mg a day and put on a stone over 4 months! I have now swapped to pregabalin and I am beginning to lose the weight.
