Avatar f tn Hi and Welcome- Yes, Fioricet can lead to physical dependence and addiction at the dose you're taking; especially taking it every day. Only take it when you absolutely need it and do read the drug info that came with this RX, as Openmind suggested. Fioricet can and does cause rebound headaches and shouldn't be abruptly stopped. I don't think stopping after one week would be problematic but taper off to be safe. Good luck!
Avatar m tn since all your investigations are coming postive and no obvious etiology is detected, it is easier to understand that, the symptoms are showing are due to migraine headaches. Other causes could be stress headache, cluster headaches and a tension headache. Consult your neurologist for the needful. Take care.
Avatar f tn has anyone had such bad tension headaches that it makes your eyes droop on one side and feels like you have pain in your ears....
Avatar f tn Got get a massage and have them focus a little more on upper back and neck into ur head. And u can also sip on a baby can of soda pop for a bit of caffine thru a day to see if it helps. I used a cold pack on top of and around my head before bed to calm it down to sleep. And u can take tylonol as directed to control it. I waited longer than the 4 to 6 hrs by uing these little tricks to keep it under controle so I didnt have to take as many tylonol thu the day.

Avatar m tn Hi, The headaches may be tension headaches. They may result from anxiety or tension. But occipital headaches must be investigated. They may result from a growth or tumour at the back of the brain. Please go for CT scan or MRI of the brain and consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar m tn So my GP prescribed me static neck exercise, swimming and prescribed to take Pregabalin-M 75 (Pregabalin-Methylcobalamine tablets 75mg) For 1 month and then stop. I took 5 doses yet. I have a high libido by default. But I'm not feeling it since I took the medicines.
Avatar n tn I have been having headaches and migraines since i was five and now i am getting them more frequently. I also have been getting deep pressure in specific spots in my head and it feels as though its a headache, but then disappears. I would like for you to suggest certain causes of this.
Avatar f tn Of the 154 patients with headache, 62% suffered from migraine-like headaches, 25% with tension-type headaches, and 13% with both migraine and tension. MS patients with a plaque located within the midbrain, in proximity to the PAG, showed a four-fold increase in migraine-like headaches (odds ratio 3.91, 95% confidence interval 2.01 to 7.32; P< .0001) when compared to MS patients without a plaque in this location (see Table 2 ). The data also revealed a 2.

Avatar f tn Sinus and tension headaches can definitely bring on the nausea. She gave me ibuprofen 600mg and claritin 10mg. Are you feeling any better?
Avatar f tn Try a neck and shoulder massage. They help me since most continuous headaches are tension headaches and are caused from a sore stiff neck mainly from bad posture.
Avatar f tn Ive been on lyrica and nuvigil fro fibro pain and fatigue, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken either one of those while pregnant. I've stopped them for i was on only 50 mg of lyrica and about 100 of nuvigil. but I'm still worried, and i feel like I've been hit by a train once again, the pain is almost unbearable, i know my doc personally, have an appt. with him for the 12th.
1390615 tn?1299426291 I just was reading up on excedrin and pregnancy and the tension headache formula has no aspirin. That would probably be the safest. If your Dr said it was ok then I would take it, however if you don't feel comfortable then don't do it, and talk to him/her about it at your next visit.
Avatar n tn The thing about tension headaches is that the cause is not really well understood, and treatments are few. The thing that's always worked best for me is excedrin extra strength, which is aspirin, tylenol and caffeine. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tension-headache/symptoms-causes/syc-20353977 Massage can also help, or anything that relieves stress and helps my muscles relax naturally. A scalp massage is the best thing on earth.
Avatar f tn I am a 20 year old female, who was diagnosed last month as have overlapping chronic tension and sinus headaches by a neurologist. The neurologist has put me on a maximum dose of 40mg of the antidepressant endep 10 to try to help prevent the headaches. I have been on this for over a month now and there has been a little but not substantial improvement. I have just started back at uni and I am finding it really hard to cope with the afternoon headaches I have been getting.
Avatar m tn Consult a neurologist for detailed evaluation of these headaches. These could be secondary to stress, tension, hypertension, migraines, cluster headaches, refraction errors. if the headaches are localized, vascular headaches, aneurysms and tumor. Cervical spondylosis could cause referred headaches and sinusitis and ear infection could also give rise to referred headaches. Therapy is according to the cause. Take care.
Avatar m tn At times it will feel tingling sometimes even feels hot at times but then goes away. I went to the ER and they told me I was suffering from tension headaches and aniexty gave me some valume and pain killers. The pain killers don't really work though, the tenison is still there.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your comment. I went to the doctoe she said it was tension headaches and that i needed to try to find a way to relax or go to therapy. So i guess now i will try to see a chiroprator.
Avatar n tn If there is none, this could be due to primary headaches such as migraine, tension or cluster headaches. Migraine headaches usually present with one sided throbbing headaches associated with nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light or sound. While cluster headache usually present with headache and pain in the vicinity of the eye that could last for a few days. If there is no stress during this time, tension headache can be ruled out.
