Pregabalin and pfizer

Common Questions and Answers about Pregabalin and pfizer

lyrica

Avatar n tn Hi, As, I know about this drug than this drug is taken for anxiety disorder and also, this drug has been taken to decrease the Hot Flashes, and I am not finding that this medicine is use for brest cancer as, there are several other medicines that are used for this as, this is also called Pregabalin and this is a production of Pfizer. Thanks!!
Avatar f tn Thanks for that, Tuck. I've had a look through PubMed database to see if there have been scientific studies specifically on the question of tolerance, but without joy. As far as I can tell, the main assumption/claim is that because pregabalin is not known to be metabolically active (ie, the liver and body don't metabolise it into other molecules) the patient shouldn't develop tolerance. I am now a bit more sceptical of that claim.
139792 tn?1498585650 I just researched GABA and found lot of controversy about the drug’s use and wrong marketing by Pfizer. I paste a relevant paragraph for another drug developed after GABA-from wikepidia. Parkdevis developed a drug called pregabalin to be a successor of gabapentin,[2] which was brought to market by Pfizer as Lyrica after they acquired Warner-Lambert.
20856219 tn?1541792336 The data from Israel and UK which is mostly being relied on as the US is terrible at collecting data due to our private sector health care system, but Israel almost exclusively used the Pfizer and the UK used mostly the Pfizer and AstraZeneca, so Moderna probably has fewer people who have been studied so far.
Avatar f tn Ive been on lyrica and nuvigil fro fibro pain and fatigue, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken either one of those while pregnant. I've stopped them for i was on only 50 mg of lyrica and about 100 of nuvigil. but I'm still worried, and i feel like I've been hit by a train once again, the pain is almost unbearable, i know my doc personally, have an appt. with him for the 12th.
Avatar f tn Pfizer called me back and said it's corn starch. I don't understand why these companies use allergans as fillers when most people with thyroid problems have multiple food allergies.
Avatar m tn no it is not arthritis.....my question is....what will happen if she combines the methadone and the pregabalin?...she takes methadone about every other day...a bottle of 130mg methadone will last her almost 5 to 6 days....any info would be helpful.
Avatar n tn the question was about the same drug, produced from different companies;i used salazopyrin-en by pfizer, and now the same by krka, but effect isn't the same(yes,i'm asking about sulfasalazine it's the same thing with salazopyrin)
Avatar m tn J, I got Pfizer. I again had a sore arm but this time forafter the first shot it lasted for 2 days and I also had a moderate headache for 2 days. I don't care, a teeny tiny price to pay. The second shot gave no side effects. I think they say things like 6 months wait because that's the sample they use for the study and they won't say more than what the study showed. I'm no immunologist but the reason I waited was to give time for the first to work.
1253197 tn?1331209110 I was on 1800mg a day and put on a stone over 4 months! I have now swapped to pregabalin and I am beginning to lose the weight. I changed drug because the Gabapentin was not controling my symptoms enough nothing to do with the weight gain, I am now on 400mg of Pregabalin and I am try to lose the weight I have gained so far I have lost half a stone in about three weeks. I know that there are many people who feel that Pregabalin also makes them put on weight.
Avatar m tn This IS interesting. so there are pros and cons, dos and donts...i see.....so far, Pfizer PR dept who i contacted directly, wrote back one, saying they would look into it, but they have not replied to me since and that was 8 days ago.....what are they afraid of.....? weird. just tell me the answer from their POV and why or why not, right? If I don't get an answer, I plan to call up a reporter at the NYTimes or TIME magazine, and ask fro them to do a story on this.
1310633 tn?1430224091 (Reuters) - Pfizer Inc (PFE.N) reported better-than-expected third-quarter earnings on Tuesday, helped by costs cuts and growing sales of recently approved cancer medicines. The largest U.S. drugmaker said it earned $2.59 billion, or 39 cents per share in the quarter, compared with $3.21 billion, or 43 cents per share, in the year-earlier period. Excluding special items, Pfizer earned 58 cents per share. Analysts, on average, expected 56 cents per share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Avatar n tn I have AFib and I am fully vaccinated. I had minor pain at the injection site and no other issues.
Avatar f tn See, this is what I mean. I've read that the Moderna vaccine has had fewer significant side effects as the Pfizer, which isn't really a Pfizer vaccine but a BioNTech vaccine, has had more allergic reactions. But again, so far most of the evidence is anecdotal, and I don't have a choice as to which vaccine I'm getting. I really don't know. I guess I'll find out when they tell me how long it is before I get the 2d shot.
Avatar f tn t equal the success and safety of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, the CDC advice in the US at least would be to boost with one of the mRNA vaccines, not with the J&J and probably not with the AstraZeneca (again, Covishield is a copy of the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine).
Avatar m tn Pfizer has a patient assistance program that may help you. Go to pfizerhelpfulanswers.com and you can search to see what they may have available. You may also want to check with your local social services department - you may qualify for some assistance through them since your medical costs are so high. Best of luck!

3191940 tn?1447268717 I qualified in my state for health issues and had my 1st dose of Pfizer on Jan 18th and the 2nd on Feb. 18th. Extremely satisfied with it, as well as the mega-site where it was administered. There was a 3 week-wait period for the 2nd dose, and some moderate side effects were experienced, but it was so worth the benefit of the vaccine and the hope it brings to all of us.
Avatar f tn by capati92, under the Blood Disorders Community and the original poster mentioned something about using 5% Minoxidil topical solution though she is a female (based on my prior medical knowledge, only 2% is recommended for women as with a higher dose,it is highly likely that they will gain unwanted facial hair and what not). And true enough, this 20 year-old girl, not much older than myself at 19-going-on-20, has that problem.
1252153 tn?1269094321 can anyone tell me what Lyrica is and Savella, in england Lyrica is a company who make a drug called Pregabalin, thats what i am on now, been back to doc 2day and he has give me a larger dose of pregabalin.
207091 tn?1337709493 t ever made it to market that in trials was close to the effectiveness of Moderna and Pfizer, and the Russian Sputnik vax has one study at least published in a prestigious journal showing 90% effectiveness. Now, the variants have obviously played a part in uncertainty, as none of the vaccines out there were tested in a population riddled with delta or the new omicron.
Avatar f tn [citation needed] Although it is widely regarded as having little or no potential for misuse, it is often a misused drug in Canadian Northern communities. Pregabalin, a subsequent Pfizer spin-off, is however a controlled substance under Schedule V of the United States' Controlled Substances Act. So, my question is - has anyone taken this drug - is it addictive? there was also a warning re: withdrawls and weening. Any help - I'd appreciate.
