My Dermatogist tried cortisone cream, then oral prednisone, the after some reluctance, kenalog injections. He said he was hesitant about the kenalog because it may cause my skin to thin out. My queation is if my skin does thin out, is it permant? Also is kenalog effective in treating this condition? And give me your opinion on his use of the prednisone.
My past doctor in another state had me on Kenalog shot 80 mg, every 3.5 months. I have since moved to another state bringing along my past medical records for my new doctor. He said his program does not provide him with Kenalog and so he gave me a shot of Decadron 4 mg every three months. It has been a week since my shot and my allergies are starting to return. What is the difference between the two, and which one is better?
I'm currently on prednisone and antibiotic for a horrible case of bronchitis and a severe asthma attack. I've been on prednisone many times in my life due to my asthma, as well as my lupus. It might relieve itself for 1 wk out of a month.2001 & 2005 diagnosed with Lyme disease. They didn't find it till 3rd stage. I was given advice to go to cleveland clinic (expensive) to see a specialist. What would be the difference? Also everything i have read and been told by dr. suggest that No one knows what causes this or that there are no cures.

It must have happened when my son hugged me the other night when he got home from camp. He is up to my chin and my chin touched his hair (before he showered after camp)... So, I'm fairly susceptible to breakouts caused by weeds and grasses so he must have touched one that my body wasn't thrilled about.
My face has finally quit burning.
Has anyone else ever experianced this and how long does it take for the kenalog to dissolve. My vision in that eye was around 20/40 and it was believed that the kenalog could get my vision closer to 20/20. Which I was thrilled to hear but now I can not even see the eye chart.I will see my retina specialist next week. Thank you for your help.
Immediately after Kenalog injection in one eye to treat CME after cataract surgery, I had 2 types of floaters. Bear in mind that everyone is different. I described mine, which did go away, as huge black tangled ropes hanging from the top and swaying (looked like I was going through a car wash) and thousands of black dots/specs flying around (looked like the universe). Dr. responded that it was from the shot and would go away; I was very relieved..
The dermatologist helped me the last time by prescribing Kenalog spray. Is ther anything I can do for relief, until I can get an appointment?
I take a shot every 90 days for them. The injection is kenalog. 40mg, 1cc. Since moving here from california I can not find a doctor that gives this shot. I have actually had a few say they never heard of kenalog used for allergies. Hard to believe since its in opening paragraph for kenalog under google search. My 12 week test was negative for HIV and hepatitis c after a needle stick, but I was taking a medrol dose pack for 3 days before my 6 week test and I had a kenalog shot a week before my 12 week test. I read that those drugs interfere with a test and that it can take 6 months to develop antibodies. Is my test really accurate?

When sinus infections set in, Antibiotics along with 10Mg of prednisone have been prescribed. Once the prednisone wears off, the sinus pressure, brain fog, and malaise set in and I pretty much have to live with it. I set up another appointment with Mayo Clinic, but cant get in until July 22. Meanwhile, in the last 8 years, I have seen Chiropractors, Kenisiologists, Accupuncture, Chinese Medicine practicianers etc. Ive taken supplements of about every type one can imagine.
Could all of this be the result of the kenalog injection or a yeast infection exacerbated by the kenalog injection? Or possibly nerve damage from the kenalog injection? I'm even wondering if it is the diflucan killing off the yeast infection which caused nerve damage throughout the area. It is driving me crazy and I can't eat or work or date or anything. I was convinced it was HSV but every doctor and the blood tests say no.
This last year I needed help for degenerative disc disease and was given caudal blocks (4) and facet injections (8) and all the psoriasis went away. I know that Kenalog was used in the injections. How often can one have an injection of Kenalog? The caudal blocks and the facet injections cost over $35,000.00 when all the different factors were added in.......operating room, anesthesiologist, doctor, medications, etc.
He has had a year of minor health issues such as two bulging disks and a chronic hives situation so that in the last year he has had about 4-5 prednisone packs and several injections of kenalog (IM) for the hives and then 2 epidural steroid injections over a 6-8 month time frame. Because of the itching/hives, we have had several lab panels/profiles taken and ALL lab work to this point has been found to be WNL. All liver/renal/hematological etc....
