prednisone side effects nose bleeds

I use zomig nasal spray for my migraines and one of the side effects is nose bleeds in the side that you spray the medicine in. Probably not what's going on in your case... but since you get migraines, just thought I'd throw that out there just in case!

She is now experiencing nose bleeds on the same side as the surgery. Can this be related? She feel tender in that nostril and there is a small bump inside. She hasn't had a nose bleed ever in her life. Could this be a side effect of the prednisone eye drops? She was one them for ~ 2 months. Longer that normal. Any clues?

I am a patient... But I am can pretty much guess that the nose bleeds were side effects from the blood thinners and he was taking those because of his heart surgery. Brain tumors can have few or many symptoms. My cousin who recently passed did not know about his until one morning he woke up and was not speaking right. Never had a headache.

Treatment has different effects on different people, and you could be experiencing something related to its side effects. If nosebleeds are atypical for you, you should contact your treatment nurse/physician and report it. My husband had very low platelets during treatment, and had clotting issues and persistent nosebleeds... do you know what your platelets were at last draw, was it recent?

I am 17 years old and use an albuterol inhaler and have developed nose bleeds. I have go to the ER for a very severe nose bleed, about 2 hours of pressure didn't stop it and it was going down my throat. I have been taking L-arginine, L-citrulline, along with Alpha Lipoic acid and fish oil to prevent heart disease. My doctor told me to take aspirin. I exercise 4 times per week and have lost 10 lbs. Recently I have been having frequent nosebleeds. I cut back on the dosage of aspirin but still have nose bleeds although not as often. I don't know if the combination of supplements is the cause of the nosebleeds.

Retrievers get nose bleeds alot it seems. I have friends with retrievers and they get nose bleeds for no apparent reason three or four times a year. You are assuming the worst prematurely. Those sound like normal side effects of prednisone. Nasty drug but can save a dog's life. My golden has been taking 50mg daily for 2 months and the side effects are horrible.

I was taking a shower this morning and my nose started to randomly bleed and I eventually got it to stop and after I got out of the shower I blew my nose and then the other side started to bleed. Is his normal?

My nose bleeds at least once a week just out of no where. In my first couple months I had a nose bleed twice a week... I never used to get them until I got pregnant... It makes me nervous but my doctor says it's nothing to worry about... Should I find another doctor? Or is it really not that serious?

Nose bleeds are common in pregnancy, you can ask your dr about it though, I had nosebleeds cause my nose was sooooo dry even the slightest tap would cause it to start bleeding

In 2012 with our strange S CA weather this winter, I have had constant sinus congestion/swelling, post nasal drip, nose bleeds after trying a different prescription antihistamine spray and it seems saline rinses and daily Claritin offer no relief. I thought most side effects would be neurological but dud find one site (for the drug fir people) that it can cause nose bleeds and to call a doctor promptly. 7 hours is a long time. Was the nosebleed from one nostril or both? If it was from one nostril, there could have been something stuck in the nostril that could cause it (foxtail or other foreign object). If it was from both, there are a few possible causes. Did they do a culture to see if there was anything living in the nose that shouldn't be there? By living in the nose, I am referring to nasal mites or to a possible fungal infection?
