I took her back today and they gave her clindomycein and prednisone which she had last year for mono. He honestly said "I don't know what to do with you?" and walked out? SHe can't eat and she can't swallow and white spots are getting worse. WHat do I do next? Obviously not go back to the same pediatrician.
Also went back to the doc yesterday, the Augmentin had not helped at all as of Tuesday and my uvula and throat were actually beginning to swell up. For some reason they absolutely will not give me a shot (I've always gotten a shot before and it usually cures it right up). They gave me prednisone for the swelling and some sample pain pills called Levacet. The pain pills are awesome but I just want the strep to go away, and it feels like its taking forever.
My neck and head started throbbing about a week ago and I went into the doctor to see if I had strep for the third time in three monthes. I've had strep, but just finished all my Amoxicillin for it! Today, I had tomato soup and a salad with tuna and lots of apple cider vinegar on it! Don't know if it was the vinegar or tomato soup or combination of both, but my uvula swelled up as did the surrounding area just a little bit, and my throat turned super red, as did like the back of the palate! It became really sore! That's been like hours ago but it's still swollen and uncomfortable.

That is my professional opinion as a clinical microbiologist The only other thing is are your lymph nodes swollen? Could these be what you feel when you swallow? You may have had the original strep throat and then your lymph nodes swelled and that is hat you feel? That with some residual pain from the sore throat? I don't know how bad your throat feels.
He did not do a strep test but prescribed zithromax and prednisone for 5 days and that seemed to do the trick and my throat felt much better and everything seemed to be fine.
Now though I seem to have this kind of continuous scratchy throat and my neck kind of hurts right under the jaw bone but its not swollen. I also seem to have some pains in my groin area but also not any notice of swelling whatsoever.
Then from not treating the bacteria in the back of my throat caused my tonsils down my throat to swell so I was prescribed prednisone. It cured. But this time the doctor gave me Clindamycin and the bacteria is going away in the tonsils but not in the back of the throat yet. So I made an appointment next week just in case it is still there and I would have to take prednisone all over again?

It's strep throat I have had it for 5months I went to see eat nose and throat doctor every time I went I tested positive for it help me I've been on several different antibodies and it helplessly for a moment then it's back again what shall I do help please than you.
