I see the clinical psychologist next week for disorganization and decluttering monitoring.

Avatar f tn For me, the fact that I still grew abscesses while on the prednisone and methotrexate, I decided to get a double mastectomy. I had it on Jan 19 and am still recovering, it was a hard surgery for me. Today I feel very good though. I feel hopeful for my future...a little scared to go under general anesthesia twice more this year for reconstruction, but every day is a step towards normalcy! You are not alone.

Avatar f tn has me concerned.when admitted to hospital and they say they are going to give me prednisone i apoligize first for what i will say later...
Avatar m tn I never knew it was actually called prednisone psychosis, I wish the doctor knew that and could have told me to rest my worried mind. Ive heard others had the side effects for days or weeks or longer so I guess it differs from the person and body. My experience was life changing, I get car sick now, I have bad anxiety, I actually now cannot look at flashing lights cuz it makes me sick, which I never had that problem till I took prednisone.
505094 tn?1240317431 re confused and fearful. Have you looked up the side effects of progesterone? I was on that years ago and couldn't tolerate it, but for the life of me I can't remember what happpened. Like you, I too have been on loads of meds. In your place I would ask as much as you can during your biopsy, and would also bombard your PCP with questions. He or she should be guiding you through all of this. The stress factor makes things incredibly worse.
608104 tn?1352587153 5 days 30mg; 5 days 20 mg; 5 days 10 mg. As I got better, side-effects were worse than the illness. Gastritis required re-starting sucralfate at least at bedtime, agitation and mood swings limited my cognitive function. I limited my driving because of distractibility. I'm 70 with ADHD. This is the second time I've followed the pulmonologist orders for the prednisone with side effects worse than the URI. I meet with my primary doctor today for post-infection followup.
Avatar f tn Surgery is not the best option since poor wound healing a part of the disease try to do fine needle aspirations instead much quicker and easier healing. My advice do your research and have questions written down. Ask if they have had any patients with GM and if so treatment plans and success. Ask about their opinion and options. You must advocate for yourself sometimes so don't be afraid to ask question or get a second opinion.

1448748 tn?1312956208 Well, the tube was chilled, the base line I am confident was taken correctly, this is the second reading I have gotten like this , and those results came back the next day, so it was just the second sample that got lost...my other results were..., a prolactin which was .5, and an estradiol which was 62, progesterone which was again <.1 but did not do the other pituitary hormones and didnt address my low hormones besides my low cortisol.
Avatar f tn ve taken oral Pred myself (not for MS) and had no side effects and also no front effects, as I like to call them, because it didn't work. I've had IVSM with no side effects whatever, though that's rare. I can't say that worked either, or actually it did immediately, after which things came roaring back. I finally experienced relief using gabapentin (Neurontin), increasing the dosage every few days till it worked. But my problems were sensory and not motor, like yours.
