I called my doc, and he said some people reported back pain with the Prednisone and Zithromax combo so he is having me take a low dose 200mg of Alieve to see if it takes the pain away. If the pain doesn't go away or lower in intensity then I have to go to L&D, we are trying to rule out back labor/side effects of my meds. This is also my 4th child, I never really noticed dropping in my pregnancies before, and I have noticed it this time around.

I have severe back pain , my family doctor prescribe me hydromorphone 4 mg after 2 months she gave me dilaudid hydromorphone , 4 mg twice a day but pain dosent goes but it increases, doctor told me my spine had fractured and I am using braces for that , but my pain is increasing day by day ,now my doctor gave my back pain Tylenol tablet (but they are for muscular pain and I have pain in my bone ,spine) should I increase morphine doses?will medically marijwana work ?

You could try calcium supplements for your back and neck pain. Also, some mild pain killers like Tylenol (acetaminophen) may help. Ensure to take them after food. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Recently I was admitted into Hospital with severe abdominal pains and weight loss. I also started having lower back pain that acts up mostly at night. The back pain is so bad that I have trouble walking and sleeping. My GI has run all the test and found nothing and is not sure if it is related to the UC however when the back pain gets the area of my colitis also flares up. Does anyone know if this back pain can be associated with the Colitis? Or has anyone had this symptom before?

After taking the first round of 6 pills in the 5mg pack I start to notice reduction in pain and swelling within about four hours. I take t pills per day for the next three days. About a day and a half after starting the regime I can walk without excessive pain. At the end of four days I'm back to normal. I drink a lot of water and avoid high purine food as soon as symptoms appear. Beer, peanuts and Thai fish sauce are bad for me.

Ok Yall I am having really bad joint, leg and back pain and I very well could be freaking myself out but could it be a reaction to the prednisone? I am also on 50 mgs isnt that a lot???

I was prescribed prednisone 20mg qd x 7 days for right shoulder and neck pain, provider thought that I my muscles was swollen on the inside. I tood prednisone 20mg for 2 days and began having anxiety symptoms, I was feeling jittery, felt like like I was dying, having right side pain by breast and top of rib cage, right leg pain, I just felt terrible, my bp began to become elevated, heart racing, crazy thoughts going through my head.

Do you take the 3,000mg of MSM in one capsule daily, or if not how many mg do you take at a time and how many times a day to equal the daily 3,000mg. I used to take the MSM for joint pain but that was a while back and I forgot how much I use to take, but I'm glad you reminded me of it, since I think it did help some at the time. I mostly have tingling, pins & needle pain from my hip down to my toes. Advil, Aleve etc. helps some but not for long.

I wonder when do you know, or how do you know when your dog is in pain? What are some signs to look for? My almost 9 year old collie has been diagnosed about 6 months ago with having Lupus. and she is on a very low dose of Prednisone, which has been helping. But sometimes it seems like she is just uncomfortable and I don't know what to do, I feel so bad for her.

Ok so I went off of iv steroids and now have 2 weeks of prednisone to take and this is my 2nd day. I feel a crawling sensation on left side of face. I feel like the tip of my tongue in tingly, I am seeing stars every now and then and some stomach pain. Just need reassurance this is normal? I did not gain weight but it caused me a lot of anxiety which made me think something was wrong with me. The prednisone made me feel great, took away the pain, started to shrink my mass. I was on it for about 6 weeks all together but as soon as I started tapering off, abscesses started again. a month ago I started getting a (very) random stabbing/burning pain in the back of my left leg about 4 inches above my knee. I too think that I may have Lupus because I often get a butterfly rash on my face and I read that was a sign of Lupus and I am no expert so maybe I don't know, plus my doc said it wasn't Lupus but I'm starting to second guess him. I told my doctor about my stabbing pain when I take a deep breath and he witnessed the pain it causes me first hand but he wasn't too concerned and I haven't had that pain since I was put on Prednisone. Thinking maybe I need to get a second opinon.

using prednisone for shortness of breath, It dont seem to be working Lung seems to be able to take in more are but shortness of breath not changed. He had trouble getting diagnosed for about 3 months. We tried weening him off to 20mg, however, the pain has come back. We increased him back to 40m daily, however, he is still having pain at night. He is getting very aggrivated and I don't blame him. The literature is sure wrong when they say the pain goes away in 24-72 hours. This needs to be changed, so people know what to expect. Just recently, he put that me on 30 mg of prednisone which at first i feel great but after 3 days the rectal pain has started again. I been on prednisone for 2 weeks now and was wondering if i should continue taking it and if anyone has had a similar experience? Can these drugs possibly worsen my condition? I took prednisone for a week 40 to 60 mgs. One day I suddenly got severe neck pain down shoulders , arms down back and both legs sciatic nerve. I had neck and back issues with surgeries in both in the past and had pain in these areas, but now the pain is unreal, so severe it's torture. It's severe nerve pain . I quickly got off and wound up in withdrawal, I have to go up again and taper slowly. The pain no ever left after getting off and I'm afraid it's permanent.

Most recently I was on prednisone in July of this year. It helped the migraine and eye pain that I was having at the time. I started on 60mg and then tapered off. Since I've been off I've been having horrendous eye pain again and I'm begging them to put me back on. I didn't really notice the side effects this time most likely because I'm taking Elavil also for the migraines and it causes drowsiness.
