She is day 22 past transfer and has taken 3 tests but all negative. No period yet she is on prednisolone 10mg and injections every other day. I am so scared can someone relate and advise what we do next. Her last transfer was done on day 3 and in another country so cannot go back there at the moment.
I took an HIV 1/2 third generation antibody test at a clinic just 12 days after I stopped taking the Prednisolone (corticosteroid) medication, my results for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies came back negative. Taking note that at that time I also still was on my Loratadine medication for another two days.
The negative HIV 1/2 third generation antibody test result was taken 30 weeks after possible exposure which was already past the window period of 6 months.
On the few occasions that this happens the Doc prescribes a short 30mg 6 tablets a day course of Prednisolone tablets which usually clears up my Asthma symptoms.
My concern is the side effects that are related to Prednisolone tablets i.e. thinning of the bonnes, what I would like to know is would it be a good idea to take calcium tablets on a regular basis or just when I’m on the Prednisolone or are they worth taking at all?
Any advice would be most appreciated.
Few years back, when my mom was washing toilet with acid.. she felt some irritation.. suddenly her one of the eye got reddish.. she went for treatment, and after some days, the eye came back to normal.
But now, the same got reddish again, after multiple check up with the eye doctor, she prescribed "Prednisolone acetate ophthalmic suspension USP" and she used for a week.. now her eyes are 70% ok.
I'm on 50mg of prednisolone for liver inflammation, it was 40mg but the inflammation hasn't gone down. I'm totally wired all the time, my atrial fibrillation is all over the place. My anxiety is too much to bear. I'm an anxiety/depression sufferer anyway and take fluoxetine twice daily and was given diazepam 2mg 3xdaily. Now I'm reading one can counteract the other regarding prednisolone and diazepam? Please help?

For the past six to seven months my pitbull/boxer mix has been dealing with a recurring outbreak of small, itchy, and inflamed bumps that appear on the lower half of her abdomen and vulva. We have been to the vet several times, and each time we are given a course of prednisolone, and an antibiotic. The vet believes that the reason for this is an allergic reaction to something, which then becomes staph.
Our research has found that high doses of Propofol used in critically ill patients in combination with glucocorticoids (Prednisolone) can cause the syndrome. We gave Prednisolone twice daily for a week before the Propofol was administered. So we are also curious what a normal dosage range of Propofol is for a 5.5lb cat?
This was administered because they had to thoroughly inspect the mouth area and she did not want that to happen. It is squeamous cell carcinoma being treated.
All of them were ok except one that is ASO TITRE. Its higher than 200 and less than 400. He put me on prednisolone for a month as well as on some other pain killers. I did not go back to Doctor eventhough my symptoms were not gone. This winter my muscles pain hit me again. Again I went to the same doctor and my ASO Titre is again higher than 200 and less than 400. Again he put me on the same prednisolone and some pain killers.

My age is 34 and due to a small swelling in my feet and below wrist and some rashes in my body i was given three to four different types of medication and one of them was prednisolone . Now if i stop taking this tablets my body starts to swell so i have to keep on taking this tablets i don't know for how long.The doctors are still insisting that I carry on with this tablets.
the vet cant figure out what is causing this.Blood work shows nothing major. Was put on prednisolone 4 days ago 20mg twice a day, no more twitches but seems not like her happy self, could I cut in half and still get benefit of no twitches but my happy dog back.If anyone knows what could be causing her to almost have seizure like episodes I would love to know.
Four weeks ago I had to induce a miscarriage due to no heart beat. As soon as that medication was taken the flare-up started. Now 4 weeks later, the flare-up is getting worse and I haven't stopped bleeding from my miscarriage. The doctors don't think they are related but I can't see how they aren't. In the past my period could trigger a flare-up, so I can't see how the miscarriage and the medication I took couldn't have done that.
this concerns me, if what you mean is PREDNISONE (the canine variety of prednisolone). How long has your dog been taking prednisolone? This is a very powerful drug that should not be given long term. It can cause some severe and very damaging side-effects. Prednisolone does not cause or treat seizures, but it can create some severe symptoms and primaryt conditions that can lead to a dog having seizures.
I have a chronic inflammatory disease, which is notorious for affecting adrenals and thyroid as well. So, Prednisolone is a miracle medication for me...BUT it wreaks havoc because of the immune suppression and allows the infection to procreate.

I've been told to go on prednisolone for 3 months or so in order to bring down my slightly elevated liver enzymes. Prednisone is activated by enzymes in the liver to turn into prednisolone. They do have similar uses but prednisolone is more readily absorbed by the body. Prednisolone is usually used when there is liver toxicity or liver failure involved.
There is no great difference between them, other than the above, however ... it is normal practice to begin at a low dosage, rising to a level that's appropriate for the weight of the dog.
I was taken off prednisolone pills end of July and had my most recent relapse at its peak early October. Since end of September, I had alread told my neurologist of increasing tightness and loss of sensation on my feet and body to the extent that I didnt feel when I stepped on broken glass or when I sat on a pair of pointed scissors. Now the main question is, could this 4th attack have been avoided if I was started on Rebif in August when my dr took me off prednisolone pills?
Recent lens implant medication is Pred-Forte 1%. THis has taken morning glucose over 300 where they are routinely 150. Please advise.
