Avatar f tn I took an emergency contraceptive pill last Friday and I wasn't suppose to get my period until the 5th or 6th of November. But I had sexual intercourse yesterday and my partner noticed some blood but we didn't mind it that much. This morning I woke up and I was bleeding. I'm not exactly sure but I think I got my period. The whole point is, can it be possible for the contraceptive pill to cause a woman's period to come a week or two sooner?
7172456 tn?1403092946 Is it safe to take the contraceptive pill while breast feeding.. I want to start on it straight After I have bub but I intend on breast feeding.. Is this ok?
Avatar m tn However, if metformin makes you vomit or have severe diarrhoea for more than 24 hours, your contraceptive pills may not protect you from pregnancy. Check the pill packet to find out what to do. Find out more about what to do if you're on the pill and you're being sick or have diarrhoea.
Avatar n tn The Paps havent shown HPV for the last 3 years, my boyfriend and I have been having sex with condom but he wants me to take the pill or any other contraceptive...what are the risks of it?
Avatar n tn If you've had unprotected sex and have taken an emergency contraceptive pill within 24 hours of unprotected sex, should you begin taking a birth control pill immediately? What if you haven't started taking the pill yet; should you still wait until you get your next period or will taking it asap help prevent a pregnancy? Thanks!
Avatar f tn It could be. Then again some spotting is normal when you start the pill, its just your bodys way of adjusting. You may want to wait and see if you miss your period, if you do then test. Talk to your doctor let them know what your experiencing and ask if you should keep taking your contraceptive pill, u want to make sure its still safe to keep taking them even when there's a chance you can be pregnant, you don't want it affecting your baby if you are. Good luck and hope this helped!!
Avatar n tn I have unprotected sexual intercourse with my partner on wednesday night, and i went to visit the doctor to get plan B pills as well as normal contraceptive pills. I have taken the first pill on thursday night, and friday morning for the second pill. But we had unprotected sexual intercourse again on friday night.
Avatar f tn If the sperm never entered the vagina, and yet one consumes the contraceptive pill for safety, what could be the possible effects of the pill in one's body. Does it cause any harm ?
Avatar f tn t on the pill and was taking Super Lysine and I had no problems. But went on pill and herp-eeze and it has def triggered something. I am not run down, I'm working out, getting enough sleep so the constant flair ups are a real pain.
Avatar f tn I had the contraceptove implant put in 2 weeks ago today, 3 days before my expected period. I had it inserted because I wasn't getting along with the contraceptive pill as I fell pregnant and miscarried and it made me extremely ill. However, I'm finding that the contraceptive implant is near enough having the same effects on me that the contraceptive pill had done. I was pre-warned that I had to wait at least 7 days for it to be effective.
Avatar f tn Is it true that contraceptive pills lessen your cramps and what are the side effects?
Avatar f tn Do you mean you're now in your pill free week and waiting for your period to arrive? If so, then if you're taking your pill correctly - same time every day etc then chances are slim. You should still be using condoms too as a back up if not trying to get pregnant. During your period is also not your most fertile time, so that lessens chances again.
Avatar f tn The birth control pills may be effecting your hormone levels. This would cause you to feel tired or dizzy, and could cause anxiety. It is unsafe to swallow a random dose of birth control pills out of nowhere. I suggest that you contact your obgyn and ask about getting on a daily birth control pill.
Avatar f tn I wouldn't suggest an IUD because they can cause worst problems then the pill and they may not give it to you because you don't have any kids yet. I was looking into that instead of the pill before I got married she said I was a good candidate, but because I didn't have kids she wouldn't give it to me. I would do the pill option because it's easier to stop taken it if you have a reaction and there are more options then an IUD.
Avatar f tn So I had unprotected sex about 2 weeks ago and took the Plan B contraceptive therefore I started my period about 2-3 weeks earlier than usual. Towards the end of my period I had sex again and another accident happened. Should I be worried about pregnancy since I had my period earlier than usual? and should I take Plan B again to be safe?
Avatar f tn Hi, I am on Loestrin 20 pill and 5 days ago I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. And 4 days later I forgot one pill and then the next night I was 5 hours late taking the next one, so I took the 2 together. But ive been hearing if you forget 2 pills your supposed to take them when you remember and the take another 2 the next day... but I am unsure if I am considered to have missed 2 pills cos I really only missed one cos the second one was just a few hours late??
Avatar n tn I've Been On This For Nearly A Year And A Half. Could It Affect Your Breathing And Make It More Difficult?
Avatar f tn So, I'm about halfway through the strip, I'll just leave it and when I get my period, start a new strip, and stop it when I finish it? When do I start taking it again then? Sorry I'm really confused! When I was last on the pill, I wasn't having sex. I just had to take it because I was on medication called Roaccutane, which you have to take the pill with, so it wasn't because I was sexually active, so I don't really know how to use it properly!
Avatar f tn I have a cycle that lasts about 32 days and I'm starting on the pill (minerva) for contraceptive purposes...do i just take the pill as per usual starting in the silver section on the first use...but then when i need to move on to the next package my period does not fall into place with the section that I'm supposed to be on period in and where I'm supposed to start.. What do i do?
Avatar f tn This is the first time she ever took a contraceptive pill. We had sex again a week after and used protection. The next day she started bleeding heavily accompanied by mild abdominal pain. She has had irregular period and we don't know weather this has something to do with sex or she has her period. Moreover she just had her period 3 weeks ago. Can it also be the side affect of the contraceptive pill?
Avatar m tn yes of course, i-pill is an emergency contraceptive pill which is consumed to avoid unwanted pregnancy in case of unportected sexual intercourse. so to be sure of avoiding pregnancy you can definitely use i-pill. you are suppose to take i-pill within 72 hrs of intercourse for it to be of any effect.
Avatar f tn What is this contraceptive pill you keep taking? Is it a pill you're supposed to take every day, but for some reason you're only taking it when you have sex? If that's the case, that it's a daily pill but you're only taking it every once in a while, it's not going to keep you from getting pregnant.
Avatar f tn I took my first active pill the morning after the active finished and then that evening had unprotected sex but he pulled out before finishing, then the next day I took the emergency contraceptive pill within 24hours and continued taking my pill as per usual. Do you think I have anything to worry about?
Avatar m tn After marriage, we consult a doctor and take details about regular contraceptive methods. Thanks for all in advance.
