pravachol

Avatar n tn does muscle problems from taking the generic pravachol include a burning feeling in the knees which causes pain when walking or bending knees?
Avatar n tn never came back), resurgence of the peripheral neuropathy which I first got years ago from a year on Pravachol (statin) all the way up to my knees, worsening of my lung disease (which I discovered started with the Pravachol, stopped when I was off statins, and grew again when I went back on) AND wildly erratic heartbeats and tachycardia (all the way up to 140 beats per minute).
Avatar m tn No other symptoms what so ever. Find it hard to loose weight even I try, take toprol and pravachol, was on Z-pack for strep throat when CT was done. Someone?
Avatar f tn My psychiatrist has me on Lamictal, Effexor, Neurontin, Wellbutrin, and Nuvigil. From my PCP I take Pravachol and Lisinopril. Is it safe to take all these together? All answers are appreciated.
Avatar n tn My blood preasure has been high since before I found out I was a diabetic. He also has me on pravachol. My cholestrol was high before I was told I was a diabetic. It has read the same since I have been on this drug. Would it be wiser to change either of the drugs or to add plavix? I have been on pravachol for at least 6 years and diabetic only two. Another area I have noticed in your forum, is the effect of caffine on blood sugars.
Avatar n tn I take prevacid for heartburn and pravachol for high cholesterol; also using mupirocin ointment since I had sinus surgery in September.

Avatar f tn Where is the data that the new technology is better than just have BMS compared with a BMS in 3 months?....how does that increase longivity?...to take your premise that the new DES increases life span and to carry that to a logic conclusion would indicate everyone with stable angina should have an implant of the new DES, and they will live longer! :) I don't see any reference the study was BMS.
Avatar f tn First thing in the morning I usually do not need to force BMs, it’s more later in the day. I’ll have to force BMs (force as in using fingers to pull them out or to open hole triggering movement) every other day at least. I have to force the BMs as otherwise it will not come out, and it will stop/prevent cramping. In some cases, large bms will actually cause light cramping for a few mins immediately after. I also fart all the time, usually occurring before needing to go to the bathroom.
Avatar n tn Hi...I am on numerous meds...heart(tachycardia arrythmia)-ATENOLOL; High Cholesterol-CRESTOR; Hernia-PRAVACHOL; Fibromyalgia & Osteo-Arthrytis-KETOROLAC; water retention-LASIX; Sinus-FLONASE; Dysrythmia-ATIVAN. I have also been on EFFEXOR for 5 years for severe depression. My dosage has been increased twice in the past month--I now take 187.5 mg...I woke up at about 12 midnight last Sunday and I have no recall of the past 4 days; however, I apparently withdrew $7000.
Avatar m tn 5mg today and there has been a price drop to inr745 for 10 tablets from 2450.BMS has finally made it a little affordable for all of us.
Avatar f tn This was already posted by SusieS2010 on another thread but this seems so good it needs it's own headline. I will just post the first part but there is a bunch more you can google for. Ev --------------------------------------------------------- Reported by Jules Levin EASL 2011 April 2 Berlin Germany Presented by Anna Lok from Jules: this is the biggest story & news to come out of this meeting, needless to say, and the biggest advancement in medicine in 50 years.
Avatar f tn It goes around my whole middle section. During the attacks I have to use the bathroom a lot (BMS). I have burning when I urinate and the pain is severe. It is colicky in its nature. I know kidney stones can cause all of this except having to have the BMS during the attacks. Anyone have this?
Avatar n tn Okay, so I've been having seemingly random abdominal pain that ranges from right below my ribs to my pelvis (crampy along my sides and sharper in my pelvis and around my belly button) for the past two months or so. I've also had frequent bms that are occasionally yellow-ish and have floated a few times.

Avatar n tn I was on medication in and out as I develop side effects to the statin drugs. I was on Lipitor, then on Pravachol and lastly on Crestor. None of them had problems loweting the Choesterol levels, but muscle and joint pain even with Vit D and Co Q10 as prescribed my physician. However, I came off crestor yesterday as I started feeling Dizzy. I am normally a "healthy", active energetic person. Now my doc thinks we should try Zetia which is in a different family of drugs.
Avatar n tn however, I have high blood pressure (norvasc), osteopena (sp) and high cholesteral (pravachol). I really don't want to take fossamax or any more drugs than necessary, but also do not want a recurrence of breast cancer. Is there a clinical study and shows femara vs placebo rather than femara vs tamoifen (novartis trial)? What is the general recommendation? Can you stop femara if side effects become a quality of life issue? Thank you.
89592 tn?1391274422 ve seen a colorectal surgeon who said to use metamucil to bulk up stools to cause less bowel movements so as not to cause the bleeding...sometimes I can have 8 loose bms at one time. he would not do anything to the varices for risk of infection. He said I may be able to find someone who could but he wouldnt do it. can anyone who has been thru this let me know what they have done and what has helped. I have no hepatic encephalopathy or ascites. just this darn bleeding after many bms.
1425387 tn?1332554262 Hi guys, I had my appointment with hepatologist yesterday, and he advised me to go ahead and start treatment. He offered me the choice of SOC or trial with BMS-650032 trial (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT01030432). I looked at the trial information and it did not look very appealing to me with possibility of getting SOC with Riba dose at 500-600mg.

Avatar f tn I always find there to be something for my mind to focus on that could be potentially wrong with me (of course most of it is from googling symptoms and trying to match mine with whatever disease I found) but my question is does anxiety play a big role with your BMs? My bowel movements have been out of whack and it’s really the first time I’ve paid attention to them and I think they’re being triggered by my anxiety but I can’t really be sure.
142526 tn?1397090672 s been no recovery time needed with these meds, i am in a BMS trial. There were no sides effects at all during tx, and actually began feeling better than ever around the second week. My energy level got much better, multi tasking has been a breeze, much more clear headed and no fatigue anymore!
Avatar f tn 9% with pravastatin (Pravachol), 14.9% with atorvastatin (Lipitor), and 18.2% with simvastatin (Zocor). And you have been on both atorvastatin (Lipitor) and pravastatin (Pravachol). Once you stopped taking statin, the pain and aches should resolve. However, for some patients, it may take up to 2 months for symptom resolution.

Avatar f tn I am then unable to have a normal BM, and only able to pass a small amount each time, and at those times I have 8 - 10 small BMs a day (not diarrhoea). After a few days the spasms in the colon stop and my BMs are back to normal. But the spasms are back in my diaphragm and chest. I have read the list of symptoms of IBS on these boards and I can't say I recognise them as mine. Does anyone think my symptoms sound like IBS ? Thanks.
