I've found that those of us with PTSD tend to congregate in the Military Health Issues Community and with Combat Veterans everywhere. Also, I just did a PTSD post there that's loaded with information if you want to check it out. Our Vietnam Veterans waited as long as 25 years for treatment for their PTSD & thousands are still waiting for their compensation & pension!

Maybe you should change Drs. to rule out any medical problems and then seek a psychiatrist to see if you have PTSD or a General Anxiety Disorder (G.A,D,) My husband developed PTSD when he returned from VietNam. Here's the key ~ the burden of proof of active duty service is No Longer On The Veteran. But those VSO's that are state/fed (paid or sponsored by a VSO or agency) may be limited to what they can share with the Veteran... The Veteran Has To Ask specific questions, and offer specific information.

I have had the typical chronic symptoms of nightmares, anxiety, sleeplessness, restlesness and depression over the many years since I returned. There is absolutely no family history of hypertension or coronary heart disease on either of my parents side of the family nor have either of my two siblings ever had heart attacks or hypertension.
