Avatar f tn My recovery has gone really well, all things considered, but my left ankle almost always swells daily and then goes down overnight - looks great in a.m. I still have numbness/neuropathy in it, too, though improved. Are these related and what can I do? Has anyone had success in getting all feeling back in toes, bottom of foot, etc? I'll try almost anything!!
Avatar f tn Hi I had a question i have had numbness on the right side of my body from head to feet for a week now. I have been dizzy for about 2 months and also have double vision to due muscle loss and hearing ringing and strange noises.
Avatar f tn I had a microdiscectomy in 2008 on my L5 disc then April 2015 I had a bulging disc on L4/L5 with which I has numbness on lower left calf and afoot, following surgery the numbness is still there on leg with freezing cold foot and muscles don't work in foot, my calf and thigh are now weakening as I walk with a limp. Physic isn't improving it either and I had nerve conduction studies done which showed the reduced feeling in my left foot and calf.
Avatar f tn Prior to my surgery I had sciatic pain on the right side which went down the leg and numbness in my right foot. Now my numbness is in my private area; the numbness then generates down my left leg (scale 6) and even worse in my foot (scale 10). On the right side its not as bad as the left but noticeable (scale of 2) It feels as if someone has taken a Tourniquet and left it on my leg. Nothing makes it better. I have complained about this since shortly after the initial surgery.
Avatar m tn My normal daily ms tingling feels more like if your hand or foot fell asleep. I also have numbness often in different spots without the tingling. The daily numbness tingling usually only lasts minutes but comes and goes several times a day. Although I have had my hand stay tingling for three days straight. With the flares, the tingling numbness lasted several hours straight. That is my experience, not sure what others feel. I am dx with ms.
338416 tn?1420045702 s quite foot drop yet, but I certainly have to *think* about lifting my foot up. They make a foot brace that would hold my foot up, but it's plastic and clunky. I don't think I would have started running again if it wasn't for the weight. I get so frustrated, because I'm really trying to restrict my calories, and it doesn't do a bit of good. Working out on the trainer was exercise, but it just wasn't enough. I'm starting to wonder if I have a thyroid problem.
Avatar m tn I have been seeing a doctor regularly for wound care (5 days the week of the accident, 2 times a week for 2 weeks after that and now once a week) Now, a month later with it healing, I am realizing peripheral nerve damage causing random desensitization, itching and/or burning from the top of the burn to almost my knee running in a vertical strip where the shin meets the calf on the outside of my leg, absolute numbness on the top inside of my foot right past where the burn ends and the same des

Avatar n tn I had a thalamic stroke December 7 and am now having pain and numbness and hypersensitivity on the affected side. This seems to shift and change day to day. What is the treatment, if any, and what is the chance this will go away over time?
1336659 tn?1275890125 Since my son's issues started he always said the left side of his body is worse than his right side. For months now he's been getting pins and needles and numbness in both feet and again his left foot is worse. Recently we went for new shoes and at his fitting we realized that his left foot is over a size smaller than his right. I don't know how we missed this because it's very obvious when he standing in his bare feet. I know most people have one foot smaller than the other.
Avatar f tn After surgery, i developed foot drop on my right foot. The pain was gone after 2 months of surgery but the numbness on my leftfoot was still there. On my third month, i can feel some pain in my back probably because of the metals that was placed there. is it normal to feel pain at the back near the titanium was placed? My rehab doctor did emg to my legs to check if the nerves are still working. according to him, all nerves are still alive but it is below the normal level.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing foot numbness at the soles of both of my feet and toes. It is greater on the left than the right. I tend to experience it more in the morning when after I have gotten out of bed. I am probably just overreacting but I am curious what the cause might be. Any ideas?

Avatar f tn Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I've been dealing with an extremely painful issue for about 3 weeks. Not sure if it's related, but I believe I have some undiagnosed lower back issues and about a month ago I had a flare up of Sciatica symptoms. I had unbearable pain along with pins and needles throughout my right leg that persisted around the clock for 6 days straight. I forced myself to exercise it at the gym, and this seemed to help.
Avatar m tn (from my knee up is totally fine and no back problems) That numbness feeling gradually started to be a burning feeling and the tingling/numbness in my foot gradually has gotten worse... The feeling in my foot is strange... It's like I can't figure out what it feels like, sometimes it feels tingly, sometimes almost like it feels itchy, sometimes it feels like its burning, sometimes it feels like all of those at the same time. It's a horrible annnoying feeling.
