Avatar f tn I don't have any statistics... But I can say that you ARE a different person, mentally, physically and emotionally after TX. Whether it's ALL because of the medication - or simply the experience, I am not quite sure. I can say - until there are better drugs on the market - the current SOC is the ONLY thing that has success.
Avatar n tn You are not alone, and in fact one of our "Health Pages" is devoted to this topic. http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Hepatitis/Members-Comment-on-Side-Effects-of-the-Treatment-Drugs-During--After-Treatment-/show/530?cid=64 Unfortunately, as you've found out, it's deaf ears from most doctors as the research dollar seems to stop with SVR.
Avatar f tn Since you are still losing weight and having trouble keeping things down, it makes me think of a situation with someone from another Hep C forum who ended up having candida, or thrush, throughout her body after treatment. It caused her the symptoms you are talking about and it took her docs quite a while to finally zero in on it. You might mention that to your docs to check you for it.
772910 tn?1249563035 High progesterone is the main cause of symptoms. Also, the further along you were, the longer the symptoms can remain. It can also be due to a difficulty in accepting it. I am pretty sure I did that for a bit as well. I would see your OB and have your blood tested. After a miscarriage, not only can progesterone and HCG stay elevated, it can really throw your whole body out of whack. I wish you all the best, and again, I am so very sorry for your loss. Take care.
Avatar f tn Some people have depression post-treatment. If he's depressed, he might want to get temporary treatment for that until he's back on track. I think I recall he also relapsed two weeks post treatment, correct? Hard to say how that is playing with his unconscious. He might want to consider getting his testosterone checked and a thyroid test done. Both of those can be impacted on treatment and contribute to low energy.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am male and have recently been diagnosed with Chlamydia after taking a test 3 weeks ago. I got a treatment of Azithromycin 4x250mgs it has been 5 days now and my symptoms have reduced vastly, but I still have a slight clear discharge from my penis throughout the day and in the mornings it sometimes has a little bit of white in it. I am just wondering will this go away? Do I need further treatment? And how long does it actually take to fully clear all the symptoms? Or is this normal?
Avatar f tn Still trying to drink as much water as possible.Would love to know how all those post-treatment are doing. Not only do I pray for myself, but I pray for us all.Your support is immeasurable.
Avatar f tn Hi I just had a phone call from the doctor saying there is an opening to go on treatment next week, how bad can the symptoms get and are they hard to control. There are a lot of things I do need to do everyday as I am the only one with a license in the family I do all the driving, I am also studying, and I have a 3 mon old daughter to look after. What are some ways of coping.
Avatar f tn m sorry about your sides/symptoms. I was fortunately presented with a list of links on post treatment sides when I first joined this forum. I have not treated and do not intend to until my specialist and I feel it is appropriate and necessary. Therefore, not yet treating, I can not give information on post treatment from personal knowledge. However, I'm hoping you continue to post and give us your progress.
493068 tn?1224765315 Dear sadd, We sometimes see a post interferon hangover for a year or so after treatment. However, those are not usually the symptoms you describe. Sounds like there could be long lasting depression and you need to seek help for that. If the interferon kicked off a depression then you need to get help! Go get some!
Avatar f tn If you look at the posts on menopause eiterh on this wite or any others it seems that more woman write in for perimenopausal symptoms than they do for post menopausal so my theory is things just must get a whole lot better after than before.
Avatar n tn Hello all it's been a while!! I had a friend call today who's father is having a rough time post Sovaldi treatment. He is a post liver transplant (2yrs out) and is being told by his Doc's that he is having a reaction to Sovaldi. I have never heard of this. I was a pre FDA approval candidate that was able to clear the virus thru a clinical trial that I started in 12-2012. I had nothing like what this guy is experiencing.
