Avatar f tn *sorry, hate that post button--anyway, I had planned to have a natural vaginal childbirth in the hospital. We took Bradley method classes which were excellent. We felt prepared. I labored in whirlpool tub at hospital and labor progressed. (I had stayed active and walking until dilated halfway.) The hardest part in class was teaching myself to relax.
Avatar f tn Although the combination of calcium plus vitamin D has only been shown to reduce fracture in a nursing home population, it is recommended that all people with osteoporosis initially be advised to take these dietary supplements. The benefits of additional calcium and vitamin D are highlighted with caregivers for people with osteoporosis residing in nursing facilities. Treatment is generally given twice daily with meals to optimize absorption.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your response . I have had a total hysterectomy also so I basically have no hormones. Do you have any ideas of what I can use for hot flash relief and foggy brain.

Avatar f tn I understand that smoking is extremely addictive, but there are certain things we do for our kid that are very hard, and one of them is being pregnant, taking care of our bodies while pregnant and nursing (and I am not even talking about giving birth!). That is only the start of a difficult life of a parent. So, let me give you the facts that you probably already know, but they are important to repeat.
Avatar f tn Red 84 angel, so glad I saw your post. Want another documentary to watch! I found a problem with the cytotech too and refused it with my first, but can't remember why, and why I preferred the gel instead. It creeped me out cytotech was an abortion drug but i know there was more to it than that. I love how every commenter here takes control of the situation and their births. They will just scare you into making whatever decision suits them! Been there done that with my first.
Avatar f tn Hoping someone will post info on alternatives to hysterectomy or at least give some good info on how they are feeling post hysterectomy.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know if it was safe to get a tattoo after i have my child, while nursing ? I also would like to know if its ok to die my hair? Is it safe ?
Avatar f tn I know they allow women to wear a stomach-support band after a C-section, so it seems like they would allow it for hysterectomy patients as well. I'd just call and run it by the nurse. Those stomach support bands after C-sections are great.
Avatar f tn I've got my period after 6 wks with all 3 of my c-sections!! But yours could be diff hun. If your nursing sometimes it won't come back right away, but that was never the case for me!?!
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Body pains especially in joints and muscles could be an indication of low estrogen...not sure about "heavy head." I am 9+ years post-hysterectomy. It seems that sometimes HRT's lose their effectiveness and we have to increase the dose or switch to some other HRT. Endometriosis can complicate matters because all of the endo is seldom removed at the time of hysterectomy and can itself produce estrogen.
Avatar f tn development and validation of a Chiari-/syringomyelia-specific questionnaire Published by the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing (by Mueller and Oro - Neurosurgery Center of Colorado) - appears in the August 2013 edition Wish I had access to this. Perhaps some of you out there can access this, and if so, enjoy! :) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
Avatar f tn I had 2 surgeries 2 years ago, and the last was a horizontal cut hysterectomy. My muscles in my stomach are still not mended, and my colon was scarred during one surgery. So, I cannot enjoy my usual presurgery workouts. I was in the military for 11 years, so having this new pouch in my stomach is new for me. I'm already a vegetarian, don't eat sugar often, but I cannot get the weight off. As a matter of fact, it goes up and down all of the time. Has anyone else been in this situation?
Avatar f tn But, I guess, the first questions I asked above would be my primary ones, as would a doctor, to ensure you are not pregnant, post partum or nursing. The fluid from your nipples would suggest those first, then a prolactinoma second. If you need any further information on this, please do not hesitate to contact me via message. I hope that you will see your doctor, and let them test you and make the correct diagnosis.
Avatar f tn I had my post about breast feeding moved :/...now I can't get any answers to it! I know this isn't the right form but I'm comfortable here and every one helps more and is much nicer!!!
