hysterectomy

Avatar f tn I see my rheumetologist tomorrow for fibromyalgia and to discuss joint type issues, but my question to you relates to the pain in the crook of my leg, swelling ankle/calf & sore feet.
Avatar f tn Also hormonal imbalance may trigger early complications like hot flashes, fatigue, insomnia, weight gain, urinary incontinence, joint pain, hair loss, loss of sexual desire and painful sexual intercourse, vaginal dryness, headaches and palpitations. Hysterectomy is often referred to as surgical menopause, as the person may experience menopause symptoms at an earlier stage.
Avatar n tn Taking estradol 5 mg since January 2011. Have a lot of joint pain and still have hotflashes. Could this be the cause? Did not have joint pain before surgery for ovarian removal in Jan. 2011. But had partial hysterectomy in 1998.

Avatar n tn Cherie, Thanks for the follow up. You've made me feel a lot better. I'm not having fever, chills etc. and the abdominal pain isn't insistent. I think you are right about the scar tissue and the body being startled. I know this experience has thrown me for a loop! Someone said that my symptoms sounded like shingles. But I have no rash, fever, chills. I've made an appointment with my PCP on Monday. thanks again for your help.
Avatar f tn I had a full hysterectomy by daVinci method six weeks ago. I still have pain and a lot of discharge and odor. Does that seem normal? I am embarrassed because I don't want my husband to be bothered by it. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I was curious, in general, has anyone noticed menopausal symptoms being more severe and earlier onset due to taking synthroid and having a hysterectomy? I have 3 sisters and we are all close in age... 53, 52, 51 and 50. I am the only one who appears to have started meno and I have had very strong symptoms. My sisters say none of them have really started yet.
537731 tn?1268265286 I will forever be scared to have another procedure done. I was finally feeling okay yesterday no belly pain and mild joint pain from Lyme Disease. I have been up since yesterday at 1pm. I knew not to overdue it-I picked up a few things around the house and made myself sit and mess on computer. It felt good sleeping most of the week and now back to no sleep for 2 days at a time. Then it started with Rt hip pain. Throbbing pain in the middle of my bone.
Avatar f tn I had a complete hysterectomy (ovaries and uterus) 3 days ago. I am in a lot of pain and need to know how long it will take the pain to start subsiding?
591421 tn?1219072704 Three weeks ago, I had a partial abdominal hysterectomy. The pain is EXCRUCIATING!!! The pain radiates from the left side of my abdomen to just below my belly button. I try to get out of bed, I'm doubling over in pain and I'm practically fainting from the pain whenever I stand. I've taken pain medication, however, my medicine makes me constipated. I have to take Senokot. My concerns are having to constantly take medication for bowel movement.
Avatar f tn i have fibro and arthritis and many other pain "things" and we(dr & i) hesitate on everything because more times than not it is the fibro and a TKR (both my parents have had this dad 2 (arthritis) and mom 1(socn)) they dont have fibro but depending on how long youve had fibro - i can only imagine the flares that would come after such surgery - i know what is involved in that surgery and i know what the normal people went thru - its tough on the leg and body for that matter please
Avatar n tn t have anything else that I know of although ever since the hysto, and forced surgical menopause has been in play, I have had sudden joint pain and even carpal tunnel symptoms in my wrists. I have never had this before but I assume it's related to the forced surgical menopause? Though I am not 100% sure. Those symptoms did come on right with the hot flashes and night sweats. Do you think this still could be surgery inflammation?
1931832 tn?1398880449 but the thing is the pain and numbness reappears if I stopped the pain reliever. My question is, does the pain has to do with my hormones? do I need to take hormonal replacement pills? Will it lessen the pain on my knees as well? I dont wanna be independent on drugs specifically pain relievers..I need help..please.
Avatar f tn Four months ago I start to experience debilitating pelvic and lower back pain and my abdomen gets very tender and two weeks before my period I am miserable and can not function, I went to the doctor and he told me is my bladder which I don't agree with, I trully believe that there is alot complications from endometrial ablation that are not explained to us prior the procedure.
Avatar f tn I am 11 months post tx and am experiencing joint pain and stiffness that I never had before. The Dr's keep blaming it on age and prior, etc.
Avatar f tn I'm so sorry to hear about the pain you are suffering. Although you have had a hysterectomy and one ovary removed, you still should continue to see a gynecologist for pelvic exams; they can check for further changes in the tissues of this area of your body. The pain you are suffering from sounds like it is related to the ank spondilitis rather than to the hysterectomy, below are some basics in case you haven't received this info from your physician yet.
Avatar n tn I have had right hip pain that started about 1 year post hysterectomy. I wake at night when I am sleeping on my right side with terrible pain. I was in to see my ( woman ) primary care doc for another reason. She had recently had a hysterectomy and had ( in the past ) said all good things about it but is now starting to have symptoms from it. It takes awhile for your body to figure out what has been done to it. One ( of many ) of her big complaints is right hip pain. She had tests, x ray etc.
Avatar f tn My only symptoms besides intermittent fatigue and worsening reynauds in my hands with joint pain. I will see a rheumotologist end of May but I am nervous since anklyosing spondylitis was mentioned as a diagnosis. Do you have to have back pain for this?
Avatar n tn I had a hysterectomy the 23 October 2007 for pelvic prolapse, I had a vaginal hysterectomy and kept both ovaries and my cervix. Prior to my hyst I was experience chronic pelvic pain (since June 06), Pain on both right and left sides of my pelvic area, a 'throbbing' pain inside my vagina (was told this was due to my uterus bearing down on my cervix), extreme pain with intercourse and many other symptoms. Currently about 90% of the pain has returned.

Avatar f tn My flare ups are so bad that my rheumatologist put me on Prednisone (steroid) as well at 25mg a day, it worked so good but after a month I am back to flare ups (fevers, pain in my pelvic joint, SI joints, right ankle joint, shoulders). I saw you got better, PLEASE tell me how and what you did to stop the madness. It gets so bad for me that i don't have a desire to live any more :( I have been having those fevers non stop for three to four months now.
Avatar f tn Yes, this can be a process sometimes, but there should'nt be that much pain 7 weeks post surgery. Are you taking any hormones? Have you had your 6 week checkup? Did you wait 6 weeks before having sex? You should get in to see your Dr and tell him/her what's going on.
Avatar n tn Please please help me. My abdoninal pain still exist as well. But my hip and leg pain out wiegh any other pain I have.
