pneumonia

1853014 tn?1340038575 The effects are just for short term but the effect that the vaccine could possibly give is good enough for the long run, minimizing the probability of having pneumonia and pneumococcal caused diseases.
419309 tn?1326503291 I got a pneumonia vax about 10 yrs ago. I've gotten my seasonal flu shot and my H1N1 shot. I had worse side effects from the seasonal flu shot than I did with the H1N1 shot..., just to let anybody know that hasn't gotten H1N1 yet. I really found it to be no big deal. The only side effect that I had was a bit of a sore arm at the shot site for a few days. I had no fever w/the H1N1 shot. I did have fever with the seas.flu shot.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the good and informative post. I did not know this re pneumonia vaccine--mine is getting near to 5 years old so good to know this anyhow. You seem very knowledgeable; do you know how long Tamiflu actually lasts?
Avatar n tn We were advised to give her a flu shot and pneumonia vaccines. It is most likely the pneumonia vaccine that is causing the pain and the lump. She had a SEVERE reaction to the vaccine. Her arm swelled. The shot site was huge, very red, very swollen (have never seen anything like it). She also, became extremely, extremely ill (unstoppable vomitting, high fever). She was sooo sick. I had the same vaccines at the same time. the flu shot did not hurt at all.
Avatar f tn I am a Covid long hauler. I contracted Covid at my son-in-law's funeral prior to the vaccine's existence during Christmas Dec 2020. I initially had body aches, headaches, chills and fever of 104 resulting in my hospital admittance with double pneumonia and a diagnosis of Covid. I was released after being hospitalized for 1 week with a prescription for full time oxygen usage; however, I still had pneumonia, but no antibiotics were prescribed upon my release.
Avatar n tn Do you think I would be strong enough for the swine flu (H1N1) vaccine, or should I wait until I have made a full recovery? Thanks.
Avatar m tn Any ill effects on getting two shots of pneumonia vaccine within 3 years, I am unable to find anything on the net regarding this, please help. Thanks...
Avatar n tn I know people are dieing it is scary for everyone but if you have an illness, it is life threatening. What exactly is boop? How are you doing now? Thanks for sharing. It is interesting to me that I have heard a lot of stories like yours but the news media and the doctors all say this flue is mild and don't come to the hospitals and clinics. To stay home and then we hear on the news that x amount of people have died from it. Makes no sense to me.
Avatar n tn You did not mention how long this has been going on. If it has just occurred recently it may be a kennel cough infection (tracheobronchitis), If it has been going on since birth it could be tracheal collapse. If it has been occurring since birth but has gotten worse recently, it could be tracheal collapse with a secondary bronchitis or pneumonia. You really must take her to the vet. Kennel cough is easily treated with antibiotics and cough medicine.
Avatar f tn Hello I had COVID and pneumonia 3 weeks ago. I tested negative for COVID today and have no symptoms I'm just dealing with the pneumonia now which should be a few more weeks hopefully til I'm 100. Should I get the vaccine now or is it best to wait??
Avatar m tn It may not cause much harm except that it may interfere to some extent with the immune response to the vaccine. Pneumonia vaccine is an inactivated vaccine containing only a portion of the microbe; therefore the vaccines cannot possibly cause pneumococcal disease. Neither will it cause any permanent immune system damage. It should in no way cause any serious future consequences. Do consult a local health care provider and discuss all your concerns. Hope it helps. Do keep us posted.
898849 tn?1241811271 How important is it to get the flu and/or pneumonia vaccine, being that I have heart failure. I just heard about the recent death in Washington where the individual had a heart condition, pneumonia and swine flu. I was recently diagnosed with CHF in January, so all this is still very new to me.
Avatar n tn I have been hospitalized for pneumonia three times and have received the vaccine. Because I have two implanted Neurostimulators, I have to be very careful amd try prevent any bacteria from spreading into my leads Are their some pictures of pneumonia mucus, so that I could compare know if I need to get additional help? The clinic doctor on campus gave me Azithromycin 250 MG tabs. I had to take two today and for the next four days will take one tablet.
Avatar f tn I have my seasonal flu shot and pneumonia vaccine for this season with no ill efects except pain and heaviness in the arm for a few days I asked my doctor about swine flu vaccine. He said: It depends how old you are. If you're over 65: you get the vaccine through injection on the arm and it made with dead viruses. And it is safe. He recomended I should get it. If you are young, you get that through the nose, the vaccine has live virusus. And you'll be the one decide on that.
Avatar f tn Has anyone with CFS had the pneumonia vaccine Pneumo 23 and what was your experience of it?
168348 tn?1379357075 I just do not know how you can tell if the vaccine is actually going to cause any issues in the long run when it is only tested such a short period of time. It took me 12 years to decide to have another child and I really would like to make sure that my baby does not have any issues especially from a vaccine that noone truely knows much about.
Avatar m tn No, unfortunately otherwise they would just vax us all for pneumonia. Sepsis is a leading cause of deaths from Covid.
Avatar f tn My dad has always gotten a pneumonia vaccine, but this year when he went to get one he was told he didn't need one because he was over 65. What's up with that? He turned 70 this year and hasn't ever been told that. Is this part of Obama's plan for healthcare?
338416 tn?1420045702 Hi, you don't need to get the pneumonia vaccine every year - once will do you until you reach a certan age, I believe I remember 65, and then you need to get it again. My pcp says I have to get the flu shot - no choice since my MI and possible MS. Thanks for the timely reminder.
518117 tn?1429276273 I never bother with the flu shots, but I did get the one for pneumonia. It's a one-timer. As for swine flu, what you don't hear in the news (because it doesn't sell ads) is that swine flue is less deadly than the usual flu, which isn't particularly deadly anyway. Reliable information on swine flu is available from the Centers for Disease Control. They offer a weekly bulletin. It will confirm what I say here.
Avatar f tn or something, which I never was and truly did not think for a second that the pneumonia vaccine would cause such similar side effects but after those 2 events 12 years apart I am very concerned about what is in the vaccines other than the 'active ingredients'.
