t know yet, will be retested in Feb. I stopped tx after 8 months because I had pneumonia for 6 weeks and after that some kind of infection every month. Just could not take it any longer. Thought I'd bounce back right away and am really down and out that I still feel so bad.

I will confirm what you have already been told on the HIV Community site. HIV is not transmitted by kissing -French kissing or otherwise. No one has ever gotten HIV from kissing- this is true even if one or both persons have sores on their mouth or or gum and dental disease- still no risk. There is no medical reason for concern and no reason for testing related to this exposure. I hope this comment is helpful.

can you get Pneumocystis jiroveci Pneumonia from from kissing a hiv postive person? she been having coughs some but nothing else she said.i know you cant get from french kissing but worried about Pneumocystis jiroveci Pneumonia. i went to the doctor last week and they said i had pneumonia they put in the hospital for 4 days on antibotics. i got out and two later i went back and they gave me different antibotics and still feeling a little bad.

And has been said many times on this forum, there is no medical condition and no medication that delays HIV antibody or otherwise alters HIV test results. That includes all kinds of pneumonia and all the drugs used to treat it. (Potent chemotherapy may do it, but even that is theoretical without any actual known instances of it actually happening.) If indeed you have had no HIV exposures in the past 6 months, you can be sure you do not have HIV.

I had to undergo anti hiv test at 9 months with the non-reactive / negative .. but I have all the symptoms .. and for about 7 months my stool always accompanied by mucus and then I try to check a stool culture and the results were found Klebsiella pneumoniae ... I was so frightened with the result ... is this something to do with hiv? whether anti hiv test results I was a fake? please help me ....

Buddy was diagnosed with pneumonia and has gone through a course of doggy antibiotics and 3 courses of human antibiotics. The right lung is full of fluid. He would get better, then be energetic and get worse. It was suggested that he may not have pneumonia but CHF. Is there anything to do to help him. The vet doesn't seem to have any suggestions. Would a diuretic help? He's starting to not eat now.
