Avatar m tn Usually kidney pain is in the upper mid back area where the kidneys are located not in the lower back.
Avatar f tn She believes it is all structural. The pain moved to my mid back and neck about 8 months ago. Mid back MRI had two slight bulges, but the pain management doc says that is not the source of the pain. I have tried meds like Effexor and gabapentin without success. RELATED SYMPTOMS: 7 months of horrible anxiety issues (no prior anxiety issues), 7 months of constant infections (strep, pneumonia, 4 sinus infections, 4 bladder infections).
Avatar f tn For the past 3 weeks I have had right side mid back pain that started in just one spot like a dull knife, I was at work at the time when it happened as a hair stylist. Gallbladder and kidney has been ruled out. Had x-ray on lungs as well nothing there. The pain in that part of mid back has become so severe that for the past week I have been unable to work.
Avatar n tn Hi all! This is my first post here as I'm using this website as a last resource - I've been to every doctor I possibly could and they find nothing but my symptoms do not subside. I'm a 24 year old female, healthy (or am I), don't drink or smoke, don't take any medications and don't have any previous disease record (except for pneumonia when I was 6) or surgery history (except for wisdom teeth removal in August under local anesthesia).
Avatar m tn I had pneumonia 6 weeks ago, had extreme back pain at time of diagnosis in my mid-right back closer to spine. 1 week course of levaquin. Back pain returned in same spot at 4 weeks post diagnosis. Lungs feel "funny" but I'm not coughing, and pain is not worsened while breathing. Severity of pain waxes and wanes. Chest x-ray at 5 weeks was clear, but as I mentioned, only 2 pictures were taken.
Avatar f tn Why do you worry about pneumonia? I mean, you should have had some other symptoms, like fever. I would just try to get a massage or try some yoga poses for back pain, if it doesn't work then I would take Tylenol, and if it still doesn't work then go to doctor. But try not to worry too much ok?
Avatar n tn I have mid back pain and so I have a few questions. Where did this come from and how can I prevent this from happening again. What would be the best route to solving this mid back pain problem. How should I be sleeping at night in order to relax my back? Should I be sleeping on my back or my front side? How long does it take for my back to be normal? I'm overweight and the night before the pain, I decided to do some pull ups. So, I'm guessing that was the cause of the pain.
Avatar f tn The middle of your back would be around the level of the diaphragm, maybe the lower part of the lungs, maybe the kidneys. Pain in mid-back can be due to anything. Probably, most often it is musculoskeletal. Bilateral back pain would be consistent with a muscle strain or maybe a nerve or disc problem. Back pain is like a headache -- so many things can cause it that you need to be examined by a doctor, in order to find out what is the problem.

Avatar n tn Hey everyone, im 31w5d and on my left side of my mid back i am having a sharp pain every few seconds as if someone were stabbing me with a needle. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to relieve the pain? It's been going on since about 3am.
Avatar f tn I had texted with my physician and after being sick for 11 days, he had put me on mild Antibiotics Azithromycin 250mg for 5 days (first day 500mg) saying I probably have walking pneumonia. I had Mycoplasma walking pneumonia 2x before in 2009 already. It slowly improved after taking it and I'm better, but still not healthy and feel it is getting worse again. Every inbreath I feel a cold tickling in the mid chest area and feel I need to suppress a dry cough.
Avatar m tn I have avoided all foods with B6 but my symptoms persist. I continue to have significant back pain across the mid thoracic level, leg burning I both calfs and pai in my right arm and on top of both hands. Intermittent brain fog. The only thing that helps is rigorous exercise or hot showers which lessen symptoms for avout 2 hours. With that background, has anyone else experienced these types of symptoms, particularly the back pai which is driving me nuts? Any suggestions, particularly diet?
4703993 tn?1379768388 the lower back pain and leg pain, but within the last 2-3 weeks I have been experiencing severe mid to upper back pain along with the daily headaches and neck pain. Anyone else experience the mid-upper back pain or is this totally un-related the Chiari?
Avatar n tn Early December I started coughing more and started having pain in my right lung when I took a deep breath. Sometimes the pain is felt in my mid back area and on my right side in the ribs. The DR. took an x ray which showed a bronchectic infection in my right lung. I was put on 14 days of antibodics which took away the cough and green phlem that I always have. I have been off the antibodics for a week now and I still have the pain, my cough is coming back, but thats expected.
Avatar f tn I am concerned for you that you either may have bronchitis or even pneumonia. I know back pain is a very common symptom of pneumonia. But if you're coughing a lot it is possible it's just your muscles that are sore. What I would do if I were you is look up the symptoms of pneumonia. Then at least you know what to watch for....hope you get better soon!!
Avatar f tn So since about 3pm yesterday I have had pretty severe back pain in my mid and lower back. I had a few cramps but the went away, baby seems to be still active but a lot less than usual. Bowel movements are very weird to one minute I cant go the next I cant stop. sorry if tmi haha. im 34 weeks and baby is measuring 2weeks over. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn Your symptoms are classic bronchitis. You should see the doctor again if it is longer than 3 weeks or have a fever. So since it has been longer if you have seen a doctor you may want to make sure the antibiotic is working. But I think if it was classic pneumonia you would have a fever. So they may want to switch antibiotics. But it is good that your lungs are clear. The chest pain though is a more of a sign of pneumonia.
Avatar m tn if that makes any sense, Now Keep In mind I was seen by a chiro a few months back that said my spine was out of alignment pretty badly in lower mid and upper back, and I do suffer from lower and mid back pain along my spine on a reg basis it tends to worsen with movements, yawning, and seems to be mainly be mid back around both shoulder blades and spine area, I dont have a cough, a fever I dont feel bad other than my Gerd/acid reflux which causes upper abdomen pain.
Avatar m tn Referred pain from lumbar disc disease can appear centered in the mid-back, but not likely without long-time severe low back pain as you report your condition. I'd guess this is probably muscular pain, due to a sagging mattress, poor sleeping posture, and weakness in your abdominal core muscles. Perhaps, like most of us, you are carrying some extra weight around your middle? All of these factors can contribute to a sore back in the morning.
Avatar m tn I have been sick on and off since 2011, pnemonia, bronchitsis, I have been a smoker for 6 years (DUMBEST thing I ever did) I just went back to urgent care and they did a xray told me: A mid left lung field 8 mm nodule is again seen, and although this is not definitely changed from October 2011 - it is between my 5th and 6 rib (anterior)..
Avatar f tn I'm a 28 year old female, having constant sharp pain in mid-abdomen radiating straight back to the back. Noticed pain increased or "attacked" shortly after eating. Currently have nausea-no vomiting. I don't feel anything during palpitation on exam. Was hospitalized for 3 days, NPO for 2 1/2 days while in hospital. Tests so far have been trans-vaginal ultrasound, abdominal CT with barium and iv contrast and abdominal ultrasound-all have been normal.
Avatar f tn i had a pain in the middle of my back left side near the bra line, sometimes i can't feel it unless im leaning on the chair in the car or laying down the pain is not that severe it just like a sore or a bruise but there is no any marks on my skin i can feel the pain if i touch on that area. sometimes i cant feel it and sometimes there it goes again its been almost 2 months now, anyone out there who experienced the same way and knew what is this.?
225237 tn?1333138999 Are there other symptoms present? The back pain could be caused by musculoskeletal issues like muscle strain or spasm, spondylosis, or slipped discs and even urinary tract infection. Pain medication and warm compress may help provide relief with muscle conditions. However, to rule out infection, urinalysis and other diagnostic tests including imaging studies may help with the diagnosis. Take care and do keep us posted.
