Good morning I'm being treated for pneumonia just started antibiotics last nite feeling a lol worse off but my question is walking pneumonia contagious......it's funny but ct images showed fluid on right lung and I have side pain ouchee! But now more symptoms are appearing.
I have all the symptoms of pneumonia. The xray came back as either pneumonia or lung cancer. Small mass found on lower left lung. Treating me for pneumonia. I will have repeat xray possible cat scan. Asking in advance. How often is this found? Can pneumonia look like lung cancer? Day two of medication and I do feel better and fever broke. I still have pains from my cough and still expereince the sweaty, hot and cold bouts but feel better despite general aches and pains.
Last spring my daughter, 16, she had pneumonia & coughing spasms. The coughing was initially treated as an asthmatic complication & she was given albuterol, which made it worse. Then she got .5 mg ativan, which calmed the spasm. Last week she had bronchitis, sinus infection & ear infection. A week into this she began to cough AND hiccup w/intense pain. Ativan was given, first a 1 mg IV dose & followed by 1 mg an hour later, causing delirium & hallucinations.

It maybe they are checking for TB but it maybe nothing and from pneumonia as that can leave scarring .When do you hear of results ?
Lung images indicated I had some minor atelectasis of the lower lobe. It has been 5 years and no problem. One may be asked do breathing exercises before and after abdominal, heart, or lung surgery. The exercises help prevent pneumonia when you are not able to get up and move around easily. Walking may be sufficient unless there is a special need due to pulmonary problems.
Both atelectasis and emphysema are included under COPD because of collection of air in alveoli and collection of air in tissues simultaneously,but they have their own physiological pathology hidden behind. Pathophysiology of both the diseases are different and they have different evaluation for concluding diagnosis.
If this definition does not clear your doubt,there is more clear way how to differentiate emphysema from atelectasis clinically.
I did read up on it, online, at the library, everywhere. I know all about the pathophysiology and lack of treatment... but they never really talked about the clinical course and what to expect. If you have any experience seeing this problem and have some sense of the course, I would greatly appreciate the information.

I could be mistaken but the skin looks unaffected, just lacks support from beneath. Looked through a wide range of skin cancer and tissue necrosis images and it is not at all like any of that but I did get a NSAID shot in that general area 3 months ago (for pneumonia). I saw in some of the information that they can be connected to necrosis, which I'm really hoping is not the issue deep under the skin.

After another week of feeling completely miserable I started to breath better, my nose dried out, and my cough produced less and less green mucus. My baby has been diagnosed with pneumonia, a week ago. She still acts as if she is in pain, and has short rapid breaths. She is on Zeniquin, and a pain med. She was originally in an oxygen kennel for 2 days, and was pretty good when we brought her home. Now it seems like she gets these bouts of gasping for air, her gums are still pink.
I am startin to think her vets arent sure what is wrong with her.
Could be allergies, yes once you have had pneumonia you will have scarring ..it wont affect you, check out online for environmental allergies .
basically i have had a pain in my bk at first i thought oh it will pass but itll just ache n ache but wen i try rubbing it to make it better i cnt find the spot like it underneath the ribcage its so painful then n e heavy movement it winds me then it got worse as days went on for acouple of days till i had enough and went to the doctors it really set in then they said just to take paracetamol wat i was already doing and wasnt touching my pain i then went to hospital because i was really bad i c
Have anyone started feeling dizzy, weak and hard to breath sitting or standing but OK laying down while taking medicine for pneumonia and how long do it last or should I go back to the ER.
I was feeling pretty bad coughing wheezing, bad chest pain. My friend and I diagnosed it as brochitis or pneumonia so I took 7 Levaquin, one a day for 7 days (had it in the house). Still felt bad after a week or so and went to my doctor who prescribed same Levaquin 500 mg for 7 days. My doctor ordered chest xrays and blood work. Blood work was just a little off she said not sure what was high or low as this was told to me over the phone.
It showed pneumonia in the bottom of both lungs.. I took cipiro for 2 weeks...Felt better now Im coughing bad and coughing up yellow phelghm. New xrays showed nothing.Whats going on? And what kind of pneumiona lives in the bottom of the lungs?
