I moved from Wales to england last year and changed my gp, it was the gp in england who refered me to get ultrasound done, now the past few mnths i been spending alot more time down in wales due to uni (no room on courses in england for me), i will still be in wales finishing off untill summer.

We do have a lot of posters from England and Scotland, haven't seen any from Wales, though, or Ireland for that matter.

Two weekends ago I woke up with the usual backache associated with pneumonia. I get it twice a year, so on Monday I called my doctor and went in. I was not seen by the doctor but was given prescriptions for the pneumonia and an order to get x-rays done. On Thursday I got the call that the x-rays did not show pneumonia and to stop taking the medication. On Friday I was worse so I went to the ER. That's where they told me I dislocated my ribs from coughing due to the pneumonia.....

I'm not too sure about Ireland but I live in Wales. I saw my midwife at 7w who also didn't do a urine test, but I had been to the.hospital 3 weeks previously and.blood work confirmed my pregnancy. At the first.visit I had my blood pressure checked, I was weighed, she went through the.do's and don'ts. Then I didn't see her again for months. I had an US at 12+4, there is.optional blood work at 16w to test for Down.Syndrome and.other chromosomal defects.

Dr in ER thought she had Pulmonary Embolism. Her Dr saw her in hospital today and said she has pneumonia and caused her to have blood coming up when she coughed.

First time, the doctor noted traces of pneumonia in his chest and gave him Amox for 10 days. He was fine for another 10 days and got it back. This time, he got better only with IV antibiotics. He was ok for another 10 months with on and off colds, but this time he developed pneumonia again and had to be treated with oral antibiotics. I want to know if there is anyway to help prevent reccurence of pneumonia? Will there be any damage to his lungs because of reccurence of pneumonia?
