Avatar n tn my sister used an iv drug in her arm not sure if the rig was dirty or whats going on there isnt alot of redness but i is swollen under skin more so than on top. feels like a pretty good not. Ive been drained before. I put her on an antibiotic and going to see if that works. is a week two long and it seems to be getting larger but just got antibiotic today.

I want someone to find someone in authority to ask them to extend that testing to include HepC. I wish to say I asked MedHelp if it was okay to post this on the HepC Forum. Avatar m tn My sister is a recovering drug addict (IV drug use) I've looked up photos of track marks, but they all look so different. Hers look like tiny pin dots up and down the top of her arm and in between the vein looks dark. I also feel bad for her because she pulled her life together and if she is stuck with that "badge of DIShonor" for the rest of her life, I just can't think of anything worse. We both live in FL where long sleeves look stupid on anyone 358 days of the year. 1.

Avatar m tn In an adult, the only way you get infected by HIV is by having unprotected vaginal and/or anal sex by sharing iv needles with other iv drug users. The activities you mention are of no risk at all. You can put this behind you and move on. Be well..
