Common Questions and Answers about Plavix overdose symptoms

Avatar f tn My grandmother recently had stents put in and ever since she has been hearing voices that are not real? The only new med is Plavix. She takes Cymbalta for diabetic nuerophathy pain, but has been on it for a long time without hearing any voices? Any information or experiences you can share?
Avatar n tn Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. A tramadol overdose can be fatal. Overdose symptoms of a tramadol overdose may include drowsiness, shallow breathing, slow heartbeat, extreme weakness, cold or clammy skin, feeling light-headed, fainting, or coma. Tramadol may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for.
Avatar m tn Plavix, fish oil, aspirin, coumadin...some of these should be stopped 2-3 days prior. So take your long acting pain meds. Chances are during your last experience in ER, they were not giving enough morphine. Fentanyl is a poor choice because it doesn't last long. You have a tolerance to opioids, NOT full receptors. Opioids are unique because there is no "ceiling" for the doses. Meaning that the doses are based on the person's specific tolerance.
Avatar f tn we are surprised that his TMT and echo done 2 days before these events showed no abnormalities, he showed only gastric symptoms and no changes in ecg also, in such situations how can we be sure its a heart attack? cardiac markers also need time to show up right?
Avatar n tn I know these are all symptoms of overdose, and also know that I cannot take drugs of any kind. I never had the vibrations until I took the meds. I am now back on flecainide, but only one 50MG pill a day. I don't know if this is going to work or not, may go back into A Fib. I do know that all of this is from the meds. I read that some people are not on any medications and still get the vibrations, so don't know what to think about that. All I know is that it is frightening.
Avatar n tn Thank you for the advice, I'm wondering why my primary care physician didnt recommend anything similar (probably because most people don't want to hear that). I am going to try to lose the weight. I still feel like something else is the cause (not sure why) I have been this weight for probably 4 years now, so it seems odd that it would just come out of the blue.
Avatar n tn I have the exact same symptoms. It feels like someone is putting a hot water bottle on my calf. It lasts for about 15 to 30 seconds, but has been happening several times a day. Please let me know if you have any info.
6839387 tn?1385681693 It didn't take long to figure out it was happening after a dose of Reglan so I looked it up and found a study that described overdose symptoms that were exactly what I saw in my dog. I've never been overly impressed with Reglan as a nausea medication anyway, but vets and human doctors like it because it's cheap and it's not a drug of abuse. If your dog shows these symptoms, you treat it like an allergic reaction with Benadryl at 1 mg/ pound of the dog's body weight.
Avatar n tn You might be having a rhythmic movement disorder, which more or less resembles the symptoms or even age related. Has your doctor done a sleep study? You need to continue the medication for couple of weeks as advised by your doctor and try to avoid trigger factors like alcohol, smoking and stress. It is better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Take care and updated on your thoughts and progress.
Avatar n tn I saw another post about atrial fibrillation and stomach gas possible association or connection. I too have the same thing so it may not be all in your head if your suspect this to be the case. Most dr.'s think your crazy or never heard of this when you even suggest it. Thats whats wrong with most dr's atleast in my experience in that they don't think outside the box enough possibly because this is what they learned.
Avatar n tn ) type symptoms for HOURS until they subside...sometimes hycosamine will work...sometimes 4 tums...and once and a while nothing but time cures it.....I have been told IBS....and intestinal intussusuption (found on two CT scans)diverticulitis...then I started to read up on Sphinter of Oddi syndrome...and it was like I was reading stories NOT from others suffering from it...but like I had written them myself....
