Avatar f tn Thanks Paxiled and Brenndy.Well I have had bouts with low-blood sugar before, and I read that Biotin is supposed to "help" people with Type 2 Diabetes, or high blood sugar. Do you think that since I may have already had low blood sugar the Biotin messed up my sugar levels even more and caused my anxiety? If so, what do you suggest I do to raise it?
Avatar f tn The thing is though that I have a lymph node in my neck that has been there for five months and it is firm and a little larger and there is a pea sized one that is firm above it which I told her about and she said it's normal. Basically this appointment did nothing for me besides tell me something is wrong and there's nothing she can do.
Avatar m tn If you are taking these drugs without medical prescription, then please stop them. Trenbolone is a steroid and apart from its action on steroid, it can raise your blood glucose levels, cause rise in BP and affect your pituitary-gonadal axis. Avatar m tn She also had not been sleeping well or at all some nights the whole month before. I took her to the emergency room and she had blood work done and a CT scan done both came back just fine. The doctor told her it was probably that she was dehydrated, and had lack of sleep that put too much stress on her brain. He also told her to consult a family doctor. She doesn’t have insurance so she went to an appointment at the Peoples Clinic, a free clinic.

It however says that initiation of Folic acid and phenytoin together is beneficial. Since you can't go back and start all over again, you can take a small dose. It has been observed that as los as 1mg dose can perturb phenytoin’s levels, You may take doses lower than 1mg/day.
Avatar n tn These drugs may interfere with blood glucose control because they can cause hyperglycemia, glucose intolerance, new-onset diabetes mellitus, and/or exacerbation of preexisting diabetes. MANAGEMENT: Close clinical monitoring of glycemic control is recommended if these drugs are coadministered with antidiabetic agents. Likewise, patients should be observed for hypoglycemia when these drugs are withdrawn from their therapeutic regimen. Dose adjustments of the hypoglycemic agent may be required.
Avatar m tn An occasional one or two drink may be fine but moderate or large amount can cause significant increases in blood levels of phenytoin due to induction of hepatic enzymes. Whereas if you are a chronic alcoholic, the phenytoin levels may be lower than expected and can cause seizures. I suggest you consult with your neurologist in this regard. Hope this information helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn During those times I had not yet been diagnosed and was able to go back to life like normal, however after the diagnosis and being on phenytoin and switching to oxcarbazepine i am feeling awful. Dizzy, nauseated, moody, extremely tired, severe headaches that come and go. All i get from my Neurologist is these are side effects that will eventually go away. Because i never know when these symptoms will come on too strong I have missed a lot of days at work during my probation period.

Avatar n tn She recently experienced a dangerously low blood sugar (20 or below) and had to be taken to the emergency room. All the literature I've read and the doctors I've asked say that it isn't a terrible problem as long as the mother didn't stop breathing and the reaction was treated promptly, but we still can't shake the fear and anxiety that something bad happened.
Avatar n tn Every body is difference, and perhaps yours has an unusual reaction to coffee. Have you tried decaf and seen how your blood sugar does? Have you tried just straight black coffee, no cream or sugar? You might want to experiment a little, to see if it's the caffeine that''s the culprit, and if it is, you might want to give it up. Good luck with the sleuthing.

Avatar n tn Moban® brand of molindone hydrochloride contains calcium ions which interfere with the absorption of phenytoin. Taken from http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/phenyt_od.htm Our population is divided into 4 type of metabolizers ranging from rapid to slow metabolizers depending upon the speed of elimination of drug from body.
Avatar n tn Glucose in the blood is called blood glucose, also known as blood sugar. As the blood glucose level rises after a meal, the pancreas releases insulin to help cells take in and use the glucose. When people are insulin resistant, their muscle, fat, and liver cells do not respond properly to insulin. As a result, their bodies need more insulin to help glucose enter cells. The pancreas tries to keep up with this increased demand for insulin by producing more.
Avatar m tn Your blood cells again have a long life and the gobs of glucose finds a home on these longer lasting blood cells. The result, sky high A1C. That's the story I was told by a reasonable doc and I'm stickin to it. Like glucose on a blood cell.

Avatar n tn Thank you for your question, you are relatively fine with Phenytoin and the seizure episodes in a form of lack of speech are the residue of a generalized type seizure. I don’t have a full description of your consciousness during the lack of speech episodes to decide whether this start is a partial epilepsy which can continue in a generalized or it is a generalized one from the first moment..
