Hi. I performed oral sex on a male (a stranger) on Thursday (today is Tuesday). Shortly after the or sex I developed a sore throat with swollen tonsils and my tonsils also got white spots on them. I thought it must be from the oral sex.
Hello, I have a "chronic" sore throat (a pharyngitis and also tonsillitis to be accurate with a post nasal drip and tonsilloliths) for more than 2 years now. I have seen many doctors : ENT, immunologist, …. I have absolutely no signs of infection (no lymphadenopathy). I live healthy. I do sports (do not smoke) and I have no health phobia !
I went to Dr and explained to them what happened and they treated me for gon,chlymidia and syphillis they said the test were neg but still gave me a shot and tablet of zithromax. 2 Days later not satisfied I went to another Dr and he tested me and still nothing but gave me dose of doxycycline. Now its been 3 months and I recently got a mild sore throat really red and ugly in back of throat and went to Dr and diagnosed with pharyngitis. And sometimes I notice muscle aches in my leg calfs.
this is my last question i had 4 protected oral exposures i was dignosed with Acute pharyngitis thoart swollen may be lymph nodes i kieed all the body and nipples of csws today i wil lstop all
is Acute pharyngitis is the symmtom of hiv as i cannot swallow anything teak or nay oine answer me
I developed what I now know is pharyngitis, started having symptoms of enlarged tonsils last Tuesday. That same day I noticed white streaks and patches only on my tonsils no where else.. Made an appointment the next day and was diagnosed with viral pharyngitis.. My doctor did not prescribe me anything just said gargle really well, and take Tylenol if needed.. The symptoms subsided by Monday, but now I feel really nauseous, and been having the urge to do the number 2 a lot in the past day..
What is wrong with me? Do I simply just have viral pharyngitis? It has been a month and 2 weeks since I found out that I have viral pharyngitis, could have been longer.. Why wont it go away?

The symptoms generally are loss of voice while speaking, itchiness in the throat, continuous dry cough and whenever I touch cold water, the symptoms intensifies. I went to the ENT surgeon and the diagnosis was Chronic Granular Pharyngitis. I’m taking Loratin fast and Racifer as medications.
I’m really very much worried about this problem as this has been depressing me a lot. Are there any medications or better way of treatment to this problem.

When I gave oral sex, I was sure there was pre-sperm in my mouth while I got pharyngitis and sores in throat at that time. I am wondering if pharyngitis or throat sores can increase HIV risk for me? Am I risk? Thanks for advice.

If your wife has enlarged tonsils and it is painful for her to swallow, these are symptoms that are, in general, consistent with pharyngitis (inflammation of the throat). Infectious pharyngitis can either be bacterial or viral. Bacterial pharyngitis is usually accompanied by a fever and there are usually not other symptoms such as runny nose, cough (more consistent with viral infections).
and frm last two days i am suffering frm terrible itch all over the body also on the scalp. i have been suffering frm granular pharyngitis frm last 6 mnth. so my doctor told that the swollen lymph node were due to this pharyngitis problem. my blood report showed some elevated amount of lymphocytes which my doctor told was due to granular pharyngitis.

1) neck- 2 swollen on the left side. not seen but can be palpated. also stiff neck and pain in left ear.
It all came back negative.But now Im having pharyngitis for almost 2 weeks.The condition is mild according to the doctor and he told me to drink a lot of water and gaggle with salt.My question is.
Can I rely on the test for the protected event and unprotected event.Im a Hiv free?
Can I assume that the pharyngitis Im having has nothing to do with Hiv.
Should I get tested again?
This is what happened:
More than a month ago (on August 5th) I had sex with a female friend, I used protection, but there was a little bit of oral sex, like...less than a minute, I would say.
Everything was OK, but two weeks ago, I started to have something like a common cold, I had runny nose, and sneezing. I took some pills, and the runny nose and the sneezing were gone...but I still have some nasal congestion.
at the same time i started to experience heartburn which i never had before, also cough mostly when i was lying down. otolaryngologist said i have pharyngitis but none of the medication that i tried for it helped and i tried pretty much all the possible stuff. my tounge has also turned white, which he said might be related to stomach problems. so today i went for a gastroendoscopy and i was told that i have a "gastroduodenitis". could my sore throat be becouse of that?
Its feels at times its better to end up life than to live with this . Granular pharyngitis Can u help me out with this . diagnosis and treatment if u have any idea . Will surely appreciated your help .
Since a long time (4-5 years) I get pharyngitis after every 2 months or so (roughly). I think it is frequent then it should be. Whenever i got this condition (sore throat) it always turned out to be "pharyngitis" after the diagnosis.
My usual treatment is antibiotic for 5 days. It goes with the treatment but what bothers is that I think it is very frequent and it should not be this way.

It became worse so i went to the ER, the doctor diagnosed me with bacterial pharyngitis, With strep negative. I read that pharyngitis is really common with people who have HIV and it happens a few weeks after exposure. Also the doctor said i had a high white blood cell count. Also i read that in the early stages of hiv ones white blood cell count may be high. I am of course going to get tested. But my questions are can i get hiv from public toilet seats? Is pharyngitis connected to hiv?
A day later I had sex with my female partner. Ten days later, I had a pharyngitis and discomfort at the tip of my penis with no discharge but tingling and discomfort. In the meatal area there was a clear but not discharging secretions. I self treated with 1 gram of Cipro and 1 gram of Azithromycin, followed by 250mg per day of Azithromycin for 2 days. However, symptoms of pharyngitis & urethritis continued.
