I was never advised of the risks of this surgery (that I could have permanent nerve damage or that I would be left with a huge ball like scar in the center of my lip. My lip is still swollen causing my lip to be exposed to the air (it feels raw all the time). The scar is hardening and it hurts ( I can also feel a band that runs horizontel along the incision line. I have seen an example of a mucocele surgery on the internet and it looks nothing like what this oral surgeon did to me.
Neither the upper nor the lower jaw ever went completely numb, especially the lower where I never lost sensatiton in my lip or tongue. I was given multiple injections (at least 8) using at least 6 carpules of anesthetic. When the anesthetic wore off the pain was horrible in both sites. It is so bad I am taking 800 mg ibuprophen every 4 hours and it just barely kills some of the pain.
I have PCOS and suffer from severe hirsutism on the upper lip and chin. I frequently get ingrown hairs on the corner of lip area and chin which create little pimples. I am currently taking benzaclin and erythromycin gel at night and Evoclin foam in the day. I also tweeze and wax the hairs. I was wondering if tretinoin cream would help prevent ingrown hairs due to increased epithelial cell turnover?
I know laser treatment would be most beneficial but cannot afford it at the moment.
I have had a blood clot on my lower lip for more than 2 years now and I have done everything within my knowledge to make it go away but it wouldn't,my lower lip is swollen as a result of this blood clot,it all started with a bad habit of biting my lower lip whenever I am in pain,bored or nervous.I stopped when I realised my lip was getting deformed,now I just feel depressed looking at it and people asking me what is wrong with my lip...

Im 37 years old and just had my first baseline mammogram in preparation for breast augmentation surgery. I am scheduled for a stereotactic biopsy for an area of calcifications that were found in my right breast. My questions are, what are my chances that this could be a sign of cancer, and praying that its not, would I still be a candidate for breast augmentation surgery? The chances of it happening are usually slim but if the nerve running along the lower part of the jaw gets entangled with the root tips or if they should pierce the nerve or even graze it patients can have the numbness in the lip, cheek or tongue, or all of them. In some instances the paresthesia will gradually decrease and the patient will notice more feeling coming back in the area.
m not here to ask anyone for help, but instead to spread awareness for people suffering with CPCBLS (chronic permanent chapped botton lip syndrome). and yes i did just make that up. so if you or anyone you know is plagued with CPCBLS then remember this, there is no hope for you, you will never feel true love, you will never have the confidence to live your life the way it needs to be lived and you will die alone.
He just had to get a shot last week b/c he had sores all over his belly from biting and scratching. Now he has a fat bottom lip. He had the same thing in February, got a shot and it went away. I read that fish based foods can cause allergies. He only eats chicken flavored food but I had just given him a salmon flavored treat a day or so before the lip flare up. Anyway, I know that the vet will not want to give him another steroid shot so soon after the other one.

When we have leftover product from the lip injections we didn’t use she will save it and put it in a bag with my name on it and refrigerate it for next time. My question is how long does hiv stay active inside a syringe if I go a couple weeks later and get the rest of it filled into my lips and as for the microblading it is not needles they use with syringe it is blades.
I had a breast augmentation like 6 months ago. one of my boobs is numb still. i still cant feel the nipple or around it. it is so numb that it is just irritating to touch. the dr. says give it a year after surgery. but it could be a life long thing i'm stuck with. Anyone else ever had this problem?
There is an infection and I am on antibiotics and the infection is almost all gone, the problem is that my lower lip only the left half and partway down my chin is still feeling numb (like when Novocain is wearing off and it is tingly with some feeling but still considered numb). I am wondering if this numbness will go away once the infection is completely gone or is there a chance that it may be permanent?
Firstly, it appears that the dentist numbed the wrong part of my mouth as the top was numbed, and the work was to be down on a lower tooth. One of the injections caused a shooting, burning pain along my cheek and radiated towards my eye. After which the dentist left. A while later, the dentist returned, when asked if my lower lip was numb I responded that the top was numbed, the dentist was surprised and gave me more injections and immediately began drilling.
